Rambo is one of those classic 80’s movie series that can’t be remade as a video game with just a lifelike main character – You’re going to need blood, fire, explosions, a badass headband and most importantly guns… Lots of guns. Reef Entertainment, the makers of the upcoming Rambo The Video Game, seem to know this better than anybody and their latest trailer proves it, featuring not only some of the most iconic moments from the Rambo franchise, but also enough carnage to make the real Vietnam War look like a puff of smoke.

Giving us a taste of both gameplay and cinematic cutscenes, the newest trailer follows our hero John Rambo storming a Vietnam prisoner of war camp using a variety of increasingly deadly weapons. He starts off by stalking his way through the jungle with just a bow and arrow and the next second he is raising hell on a truck-mounted machine gun turret, ripping through enemy soldiers like a knife through butter. Will this game live up to the name of its legendary source material? We’ll just have to wait and see.

Konami Reveals New Screenshots For Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2

Konami Digital Entertainment revealed today their new concept art and screenshots for their upcoming title, Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2. The game should be available by February 25th, 2014 in North and South America for the PS3, the Xbox 360, and the PC.

Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 will be the last installation of the revamped series. The game will feature an open-world environment, free-roaming cameras, and other features. The game boasts 20 hours of unique gameplay, where you’ll be trying to defeat Satan himself by making a pact with Death. The latest screenshots and concept art released shows the skills and powers that are available to the players when they play as Dracula. The vast environment is set in a modern day setting.

As stated before, the game will be released for the PS3, Xbox 360, and PC. Make sure you keep an eye out for this game, and we’ll keep you posted on any updates we receive.

Rayman Legends Xbox One, PS4 Release Pushed Up to February 21

It’s just been announced by Ubisoft that Rayman Legends‘ planned release for the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 has been pushed up by a week to February 21. The developers over at Ubisoft Montpellier have worked hard to bring the critically acclaimed platformer to the new consoles, and feel it will be ready ahead of schedule.

As mentioned in a previous article, besides upgraded graphics and cut-down loading times, these versions will take full advantage of the Xbox One and PS4’s exclusive features and capabilities. 10 exclusive challenges that allow the opportunity to earn time-limited achievements await Microsoft fans, whilst the PS4 edition makes use of the touchpad and PS Vita remote play. There are also Splinter Ray, Ray Vaas and Globox Vaas costumes available on Xbox One, and an Assassin Ray costume on PlayStation 4.

Blackguards Now Also Available for Mac

Hamburg, January 10th, 2014. Today Blackguards, Daedalic Entertainment’s turn-based RPG will be available on Steam’s Early Access program for Mac. This way, all Mac users can enjoy the first four chapters of the game even before the official release on January 24th.

Early Access allows players to play the first chapters of Blackguards months before the official release and to have a chance to influence the development process through their feedback based on pre-release builds.

Blackguards will be published chapter by chapter while in Early Access. As of now, the first four parts of the game are available. All five chapters will be made available in the upcoming weeks.

Daedalic Entertainment offers several packages for interested Early Access participants. In all cases, players will secure access to the final version of Blackguards by paying a lower price compared to purchasing the game after its official release.

Additionally, they have the opportunity to buy exclusive extras that will only be available before the official release. For $24.99/£18.99/€24.99, players receive the Standard Early Access Edition of Blackguards, including all chapters for PC at their earliest availability, and the full PC & Mac version of the game after the official release. For $34.99/£26.99/€34.99, players receive the Blackguards Early Access Deluxe Edition, an approx. 150 page artbook, and access to developer interview videos and six exclusive wallpapers. For $49.99/£29.99/€49.99, the Blackguards Early Access Contributor Edition additionally includes an appearance of the buyer’s name within the game’s credits, as well as the first Blackguards DLC and a copy of the The Dark Eye point & click adventure Chains of Satinav for free.

Viz updates their digital manga library for early January 2014

As you may know, Viz Media is currently holding a sale on their entire digital manga library where all volumes are 20% off and how that sail will last until Wednesday, January 15th. Well if you didn’t you do now and there are a handful of new digital releases that fans can purchase at a discounted price with normal volumes mostly costing $5.99 instead of $6.99, though a few titles may have a higher price tag.

This includes the digital conclusion to the Rurouni Kenshin: Restoration manga, and new digital volume releases of the Saint Seiya, Firefighter! Daigo of Fire Company M, Midnight Secretary, Naruto, and Psyren. There also have been a few double-volume updates for YuYu Hakusho, Skip Beat, and a few other titles. Of course there are also more than 2,000 volumes across 170 different series available for purchase outside of the aforementioned series all of which can be found here.

Kids on the Slope to debut on Neon Alley on January 17

Today Viz Media has continued to add variety and expand the horizons of their English anime streaming service Neon Alley by announcing that they will be adding Kids on the Slope to the service on Friday, January 17th at 9:30pm PST with a new episode coming out every Friday after that.

The anime was originally released in North America earlier this year by Sentai Filmworks and follows a group of young Japanese jazz musicians. Our full review of the twelve episode series can be found here. As for Neon Alley, it is a subscription based service that costs $6.99 a month.

Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance Released on Steam For PC

Developers Kojima Productions and Platinum Games announced today that their title, Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance is now available on the PC through Steam!

The game follows the story of the popular Metal Gear series, introducing a new story line to the series. You play as Raiden, a child soldier that was altered and transformed into a half-cyborg, half human assassin who is trying to seek vengeance upon his enemies. Wielding his High Frequency katana blade, he cuts swathes among his enemies ranks, leaving nothing but destruction in his wake.

The game was originally introduced on the Xbox 360 and PS3, and were both hugely successful ever since they were introduced. The new PC version that is being offered includes 3 different DLC packs: Jetstream, Bladewolf, and VR Missions. You will also have access to all customized body upgrades for Raiden.

Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance is rated ‘M’ for mature, and is available on the PS3, Xbox 360, and now the PC. Get it here for $29.99 on Steam.

Naruto avatar items released on Xbox 360

Today Viz Media has revealed that some Naruto goods have been released on the XBLA, which means that Naruto fans can now dress up their avatar with some Naruto themed costumes and clothing. There are four basic t-shirts available and eleven costumes available for download.

A preview of some of these avatar items can be seen above. The costumes will cost $3.99 while the t-shirts will be running a $1 each. It is worth noting that any avatar items bought for your 360 avatar will also appear on your Xbox One avatar as the same avatar is used on both consoles, just it appears less prominent on the Xbox One.

Ubisoft have just made a major announcement in regards to the legendary Far Cry video-game series. They have officially announced Far Cry: The Wild Expedition, a 10 year anniversary compilation to celebrate this amazing series.

Far Cry: The Wild Expedition will compile the great games that comprise the series. Included are Far Cry Classic, Far Cry 2, Far Cry 3 and Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon. You can pick up Far Cry: The Wild Expedition on February 14th, 2014 on Xbox 360, PC and PlayStation 3.
