Bandai Namco Games has recently announced that Digimon All-Star Rumble will be making its way to both the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 in Spring 2014. In what appears to be a direct sequel to Digimon Rumble Arena 2 that released in 2004 for the PlayStation 2, Xbox and Gamecube, this new title seems to be departing from 2D fighter based battles and replaces it with 3D party-arena type gameplay that up to 4 players can participate in.
Digimon All-Star Rumble will feature 12 base Digimon that will come from the many Digimon series that have been produced throughout the years from Digimon Adventure to the newest series Digimon Fusion which currently airs on Channel GO in Australia during Weekdays at 8:00 am. Those 12 base Digimon will be able to take an additional 20 forms bringing the total roster to 32 characters. The gameplay promises to be fun and easy to pick up and play. Players will have to balanace attacking, defending and activating each Digimon’s unique Evolution power-up if they want to be victorious.
I personally have many fond memories of spamming the diamond storm attack with Renamon back in the original Digimon Rumble Arena for the PS1. Be sure to check out the trailer and promo art below for the currently confirmed roster. Fans of the original series will be sure to notice more than a few familiar faces.
Microids and game designer Paul Cuisset has just revealed their first gameplay video for their upcoming indie title, Subject 13.
As their Kickstarter campaign begins to finalize, Microids announces that a Linux version of the game will also be in development if their campaign reaches the basic goal of $40,000. There is still six days left to go, and they only need $13,000 before they meet their initial goal. If they exceed their goal, it’s possible that an Oculus Rift version will be released as well. In Subject 13, you will play as Franklin Fargo, a professor who’s become a recluse after the death of his fiancee. One day, he suddenly awakens in an underground facility, with nothing else but a mysterious voice who refers to him as Subject 13. Now Franklin has to find a way to break free and to discover why he was chosen.
The puzzle adventure game’s Kickstarter will end on August 8th, and the developer and publishers still need your help to bring the game into reality. Check out their Kickstarter site here, and watch the video below for some sweet gameplay footage.

Ubisoft Montreal and VICE have released the second of a trio of developmental diaries that delve into the inspiration for Far Cry 4‘s fictional locale of Kyrat. In the first video, members of the development team, along with VICE, arrived in Nepal and were introduced to the culture. Now, they delve deeper into the heart of the Himalayas.
Of note, the crew trek the dangerously steep paths leading into the Guerilla Trail, a historic road during the Civil War. Check out the video embedded below. The third and final entry promises to examine the darker aspects and history of the area. Far Cry 4 releases on November 18 in the U.S. and Europe, and November 20 in Australia for the Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3 and PC.

While many gamers are just fine with the way that some cover art looks for their games, everyone appreciates options and it looks like Bethesda is going to give fans of the upcoming title The Evil Within a chance to pick an alternate cover for the game.
They have released three different covers that can be seen above and below and have made it so fans can vote on their favorite one. The one that wins the vote will be printed on the reverse side of game’s standard cover art when it is released on October 14th. You can vote on which of the three cover arts you like the most here.
Ever since D3 Publisher announced that they were releasing an upgraded version of Onechanbara Z for the PlayStation 4 under the name of Onechanbara Z2: Chaos, we have been waiting to see how the game will actually look in motion.
You see, while the publisher revealed that they want to take the title to 1080p and have it run at 60 fps, we haven’t seen it in action until today. Today the company released the first video showing off not only some of the cut-scenes in the title but also some of the game’s combat. Currently Onechanbara Z2: Chaos has not been announced for Western release but it is set to be released in Japan on October 30th.
Daedalic Entertainment and Nexus Game’s upcoming adventure, Randal’s Monday, has just confirmed that Jeff Anderson, the actor from Clerks who played Randal Graves, will voice the lead character in the game.
While the game isn’t based on the movie Clerks or its character, the developers from Nexus Game Studios named the main protagonist Randal as a tribute to Jeff Anderson’s role in Clerks. Randal’s Monday will be a point-and-click adventure that will surely entice any and all geeks, as they uncover lots of different nostalgic items and heroes from their past. The game follows Randal as he tries to get through a tough Monday, one that he created when he sold his best friend’s engagement ring, and his best friend took his own life. Now, Randal has to relive every Monday to atone for his sins, until he can find the ring again and sort his life out. If not, the whole universe’s survival is at stake.
The game is scheduled for a release for the PC in the fall of 2014. You can check out more information about the game here on their site.
It’s been announced that the Tokyo International Film Festival will play host to “The World of Hideaki Anno”, a showcase of the filmmaker’s works throughout his career including the cult-hit Evangelion series and rare titles from his undergraduate days.
Hideaki Anno, who is currently working on the fourth and final Rebuild of Evangelion film, has been described by Toshio Suzuki, the producer of Studio Ghibli, as “the only man Hayao Miyazaki would ever acknowledge as his apprentice.”
The film festival will also include Disney’s latest movieBig Hero 6 as well as Japanese film Parasyte, based on its original manga. TIFF will be held between October 23-31, 2014 at Roppongi Hills, TOHO Cinemas Nihonbashi and other venues around Tokyo.
Closer to home, the anticipated Evangelion 3.33 You Can (Not) Redo still doesn’t have a Western Blu-ray/DVD release date following an unexpected delay earlier this year.
