Today, we’ve got our first look at footage from the upcoming SpongeBob SquarePants movie…that’s right, if you didn’t know, the world’s favourite sea dwelling invertebrate is getting his own feature-length, 3D, animation/live-action mix film! Check out the poster here.
The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water sees the titular character and his iconic crew become super-heroic in their adventure to prevent the destruction of their underwater home. Taking on superhero personae are Patrick Star (as Mr. Superawesomeness), SpongeBob SquarePants (as The Invincibubble), Squidward Tentacles (as Sour Note), and Mr. Krabs (as Sir Pinch-A-Lot) as seen above. The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water releases nationwide on April 2nd, 2015 from Paramount Pictures and Nickelodeon Movies. Watch the début trailer embedded below.
