As many Blazblue fans know, you can always count on a new “enhanced” version of each title being released somewhere down the line and it looks like this time the new version will be making the jump to current-gen consoles. Leaked details, courtesy of Hokanko, from this week’s issue of Famitsu reveal that BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma Extend will be released on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PlayStation 3 in Japan on April 23rd.
This is especially good news for Xbox fans who could not play the original version of Chrono Phantasma when it was released by Aksys Games in the West due to limited disc space preventing the title from being released on that platform. BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma Extend will include Celica and Lamda-11 as well as an extra “Extend” storyline. Expect more details as they become available.
It has been revealed that Steins;Gate will be released in English for both the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita by PQube. Earlier this year an official English translation of Steins;Gate was released on the PC through Jast USA but this is still quite a surprising announcement.
Speaking with Siliconera, Geraint Evans of PQube stated that the PlayStation Version will be using a build received directly from MAGES, so at the moment it is unknown if the translation will be their own or if the JAST USA translation will be used.
Evans went on to say that he hopes to give Steins;Gate a physical release in the West and not limit it to just a digital release as he doesn’t “want to imagine a world where there’s no physical copy of Steins;Gate in my collection”
This week’s issue of Famitsu, courtesy of Hokanko, has revealed that Senran Kagura: Estival Versus will feature ten player online multiplayer on the PlayStation 4 version of the game while the PlayStation Vita version will be limited to four player online multiplayer.
Additional details include in-game actions as well as a few new students, however at the moment these details have not been leaked, though likely will be fully revealed by the time the magazine is released on Thursday. As for the game itself, Senran Kagura: Estival Versus is still set to be released on the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita in Japan on March 26th.
Today Sentai Filmworks has announced that they have acquried the rights to “Unlimited Psychic Squad,” a spin-off anime from Zettai Karen Children (also called “Psychic Squad”) following the story of Hyobu Kyosuke, a powerful psychic that treads between the lines of good and evil in original storyline.
At the moment Sentai Filmworks has not said whether or not they plan on dubbing Unlimited Psychic Squad but they will be releasing it on home video and through digital outlets sometime in the future. As for the story, the company describes the series as follows:
You don’t have to be psychic to know that Hyobu Kyosuke is trouble waiting to happen, but having psychic powers of your own may be your only chance if you want to stand against him. One of the most powerful espers on the planet, Hyobu’s incredible range of abilities extends as far as controlling his own aging process, and the potential strength of all his talents combined is so terrifying that he wears a device that limits their use except in cases of extreme emergency. The time is coming, however, when Hyobu will need to unleash everything he has.
Because sometimes it takes a villain to do what heroes can’t, and as the leader of the secret organization P.A.N.D.R.A., Hyobu’s dedicated his life to fighting those who would entrap, enslave, or kill anyone with psychic powers. Now P.A.N.D.R.A. itself is in danger and, to combat that deadly threat, the gloves and limiter are coming off! The dark side of the world of Psychic Squad is unveiled in an incredible new series, where the lines between the good and the bad cease to exist and the only goal is survival in Unlimited Psychic Squad!
Although promised as a feature that would be launched shortly after the release of Grand Theft Auto V on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 and then promised a year later to be released shortly after the title’s launch on the Xbox One and PlayStation 4, it seems that Rockstar Games has finally decided to give us something similar to a release window for Grand Theft Auto Online’s heist mode.
If gamers still have their copy of the game at this point and haven’t moved on to something better after such a long drawn out wait, they will be able to possibly access these four-player co-op heists early in 2015. These multi-tier missions will take place throughout Los Santos and Blaine County and players will need to take on very specific roles to accomplish various objectives that will help complete the Heist.
You can check out a trailer as well as some new screenshots focusing on these heists, some of which include new vehicles and weapons that will be added into the game alongside the patch, below.
Owners of the Dark Souls PC port (the Prepare to Die Edition) are now able to update their game to replace Windows Live with Steamworks. First announced through the Steam community forums, the post contains update instructions for both digital and disc owners. Save data and achievements can also be transfered, but as a word of warning, you will only have until February 16th to complete the process. If this deadline is not met, there is no guarantee that achievements and saves will be retained.
The popular action role playing title, developed and published by From Software, was first released on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in 2011. It achieved critical acclaim upon its release, and a PC version was soon in the works after an online petition gained traction enough for the port to be approved. You can purchase the game here through the steam store for $19.99.
Ever since Until Dawn was re-revealed earlier this year, every showing for the title continues to impress me and now Sony has released a play-through video showing off the demo that was available during the PlayStation Experience. While before we only caught a small glimpse of the gameplay, this time the nearly eight minute video follows a girl named Sam who is relaxing in the bath only to find an intruder in the house.
Once she goes to investigate, she finds that her friends are nowhere to be seen and she is in immediate danger. It is worth noting that Sony describes this play-through as ” only one of the many different paths possible. Each split-second decision you make as you play could put you on a new path. Any single decision may not be fatal, but your actions could have deadly consequences for your character later in the story.”

Today Fault Milestone One, the first “Milestone” (each episode is a different milestone) in what will be an ongoing series, has been released on PC through Steam where it will be discounted by 25% until December 22nd. The kinetic visual novel is developed by Alice in Dissonance and published by Sekai Project, who helped bring the title to English audiences.
The “fault” series will follow Selphine, a happy-go-lucky Princess, and her bodyguard, the sharp-witted but slightly misanthropic Ritona. When their kingdom is assaulted by an unknown force the two are teleported to a mysterious forest where there are no signs of life. Far from their homeland and in a strange forest, players will follow these two as they try to return to their homeland of Rughzenhaide.
A demo for the visual novel can be downloaded from Steam where players will be able to play through the first four chapters of the Milestone and the full game itself can be currently purchased here for $11.24.
It wouldn’t be a true approach to an upcoming Atelier release if it didn’t come with a ton of new screenshots and that is exactly what Koei Tecmo America released today for Atelier Ayesha Plus: The Alchemist of Dusk. The screenshots are all from the English version of the title which is set to be released on the PS Vita on January 13th for $39.99
You can check out the new screenshots below and in them you will find a number of the new features that have been added into Atelier Ayesha Plus, such as some new boss monsters, a handful of which come from Atelier Escha & Logy, the new Album Missions that allow players to complete various tasks to unlock bonuses in the game such as new costumes and extra tidbits.
