tales-of-zestiria-alisha-dlc-screenshot-01

It has been announced in this week’s issue of Shonen Jump, and detailed later on the title’s official website by Bandai Namco, that Tales of Zestiria will be getting some post-launch DLC that will be free for a limited time. This DLC happens to be called “Alisha After Episode: What is Reflected in the Eyes” and follows what happens to Alisha after the events of Tales of Zestiria and will feature at least her and Rose.

The DLC will be released in Japan on February 12th and it is worth noting that the DLC will remain free until February 18th. After that point it will be priced at ¥1,300 . It is worth noting that this DLC will likely help soothe some the anger some of the Japanese fans over the title that was released back on January 22nd.

Spoilers below: (highlight to read)
Despite being heavily promoted as a main character and featured in many DLC costume packs, Alisha plays only a minimal role in the story of Tales of Zestiria and is apparently handled extremely poorly, causing discontent among the series’ fans.

My Hero Academia to be published in Viz’s Weekly Shonen Jump starting next week

my-hero-academia-wsjThe latest issue of Viz’s Weekly Shonen Jump digital magazine has announced that they will begin releasing chapters of the breakout manga hit of 2014, My Hero Academia (Boku no Hero Academia), in English starting with next week’s issue.

Viz Media also announced that they will begin running the series simultaneously alongside the Japanese release starting in the February 9th issue. It is worth noting that currently Viz Media has not announced any plans to bring the collected volumes of the series to North America at this time.

Created by Kōhei Horikoshi, also known for his work on Barrage, My Hero Academia takes place in a world where super powers and special abilities are commonplace and a young boy named Izuku Midoriya wants to become a hero more than anyone else. The only problem is, he has no powers whatsoever until a certain event occurs that changes his life.

legend-of-zelda-link-to-the-past-mangaIf you were a fan of Nintendo Power back in the early ’90s you may remember that a Legend of Zelda comic book was included in some issues of the magazine.

Drawn by Shotaro Ishinomori, these chapters were eventually collected into a single volume manga release back in 1993 but since that initial printing, The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past’s manga has been completely out of print.

Well, that is going to change quite soon as Viz Media has announced that they will be bringing The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past’s manga to store shelves once again.

This full color release follows the story of the NES title with added story elements and although it has not been priced yet, it will be released sometime in May this year under Viz’s Perfect Square imprint.
