Bandai Namco Japan has released a brand new trailer for Dragon Ball Xenoverse featuring over 6 minutes of brand new footage. The trailer mostly centers around story mode showcasing some of the major battles from the series such as Goku vs. Vegeta, Gohan vs. Cell and Buu vs. Goku among many others.
There isn’t much new to report from this trailer apart from the confirmation that Great Saiyaman and Great Saiyaman 2 (otherwise known as Great Saiyawoman) have been confirmed to be playable and appear briefly at the end. It is unknown if they will be separate characters on the character select screen or just be costumes for Gohan and Videl. Also fans of Goku and the 10x Kamehemeha will be happy to know it is in the game with it’s signature red colour and all.
Watch the trailer below and be sure to let us know in the comments how excited you are for Dragon Ball Xenoverse. A Season Pass was recently announced for the game, you can read all about it here.
Edit: The same trailer has been released by Bandai Namco Europe now with English subtitles.

Capcom has just announced Dragon’s Dogma Online and now we have some of the first details about the game. This week’s issue of Famitsu reveals, courtesy of Otakomu, that Dragon’s Dogma Online will be a free-to-play title that will be released sometime this year in Japan for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, and PC.
Players will play as a new “Awakened” in the land of Lestaria where they will be able to travel in four-player parties made up either of other players or three AI pawns to face off against the various monsters you will come across. There will be town lobbies supporting up to a hundred people will be able to chat, form parties, and spend some time away from the battlefield. It is here that players will also be able to make use of a “quick matching” feature to find other players to party with.
Jobs such as Fighter, Hunter, Shield Sage, and Priest have been confirmed so far and players will be able to change their jobs at will. Many of the combat mechanics, such as climbing onto enemies remains the same while large dramatic battles against big enemies will continue to take place.
Capcom is currently planning on adding extensive missions that will require eight player parties to complete and it is worth noting that the character creation system has been improved significantly. Being an open world title, Dragon’s Dogma will be expanded upon with various large-scale updates that will be released post-launch.
This week’s issue of Dengeki PlayStation , courtesy of Otakomu, revealed some new characters for Hyperdimension Neptunia Victory II. Similar to past games, there will be a number of new parody characters added to the game and this time around we have a set of four that are being called the “Gold Third.” You can click the scans above for a better look at each character and you will note that each girl has been given a biting description revealing their origin.
From left to right, the first girl shown in the scans are S-Sha, a character that is representing Square Enix that is a cool beauty that is disinterested with most things. She has previously tried her hand at being a filmmaker but failed and nearly died at one point in her life.
Following her is B-sha, a character resembling Bandai Namco. B-sha sells toys and loves money more than anything else in the world as she charges a small amount for practically everything. K-Sha is a girl resembling Konami, a student in Lastation K-Sha loves music, both listening to and performing it, but takes on the attitude of a war veteran anytime she holds a gun. Finally is C-Sha, the leader of the Gold Third who represents Capcom. C-sha is a glutton despite her appearances and anytime she is hungry she loses all of her power.
The hype is real! Due to extremely limited stocks, Nintendo has managed to create an insane amount of unprecedented demand for it’s NFC enabled Amiibo figures. I had not secured a pre-order for myself for the newest wave of Amiibo which were released today in Australia. The following paragraph tells my experience trying to get my hands on some of these collectible commodities on launch day.
I waited outside my local Big W for half an hour (I got the opening time of the store wrong…), six other people rocked up with about five minutes until the store opened. As soon as the doors lifted, one guy started a brisk jog and then a full sprint, which led to an all out race towards the back of the store. I managed to grab one of most of the Amiibo. The shelf was completely empty within a minute of everyone getting to the section, with no more stock out the back. I got to speak to one of the mother’s there who couldn’t believe what was happening, she was an employee at the store and said they were strictly forbidden to put away any for their children.
It wasn’t quite as bad as this, but you get the idea.
My girlfriend (she’s a keeper) reported a similar frenzy at Target, with one person dashing to the games section with their trolley. I tried JB Hi-Fi and EB Games to get the last Amiibo I needed (Ike) but unfortunately these were mostly taken by pre-orders, with EB having no stock for sale and JB only being allowed to sell what already wasn’t pre-ordered locally at the store. I imagine a similar situation across the country. Even online retailers are selling quickly, with most sites already sold out of the rarer figures.
In terms of rarity based on how much of each Amiibo was on the shelf, my list from what I saw would have to be:
Shulk
Ike
Shiek
Lucario
Meta Knight
Rosalina & Luma
King DeDeDe
Mega Man
Sonic
Toon Link
Bowser
Based on the amount of people wearing Nintendo themed clothes vs non-Nintendo themed clothes, I would argue the people that were at the store were a fifty-fifty mix of scalpers and collectors. I have never seen such a demand for any gaming product and I can’t say I predicted this trend when Amiibo were first announced over six months ago. No announcements have been made regarding another shipment of this wave of Amiibo or any that have been released in the past, although it seems Link has been in stock recently. It was recently announced that Nintendo had sold 5.7 million Amiibo’s worldwide, and that figure came before the release of wave 3 in most parts of the world.
Nintendo have been the king of limited supply within recent months, with the Majora’s Mask Limited Edition New 3DS XL’s selling out quickly and the fabled GameCube adapter for Super Smash Bros. Wii U fetching on average $150 AU on eBay (I believe they were retailing for $20-$30). The figures do look great and have some real bulk to them, especially Bowser who is noticeably heavier. If you have been lucky enough to see Amiibo in your local area, let your fellow collectors know in the comments below, or just buy them for yourself!
There is always room for more Hurk in any Far Crygame. I would definitely support the addition of Hurk in Far Cry and Far Cry 2.
Good news for Far Cry 4 owners, more Hurk is coming. Hurk Deluxe Pack brings five new single player mission starring everyone’s favourite idiot. Hurk will also get to rock the harpoon gun that he shows off to Ajay Ghale in the base Far Cry 4game.
Hurk Deluxe Pack can be purchased on its own for $7.49 USD or $9.95 AUD. The pack is also part of the Far Cry 4 Season Pass, which costs $29.99 USD or $39.95 AUD. Hurk Deluxe Pack is available now on PlayStation Network, Xbox Live, and Windows.
This upcoming PC game by Weappy Studio is about a police chief, Jack Boyd, who is a model of duty and integrity. However, after giving his best years to the badge, he finds it has left him with nothing in the end. Sick of playing by the book while the rest of force go around skimming money off drug dealers and hookers, Jack decides to earn some informal income before his forced retirement; ‘To hell with it, This is the Police’.
The chief is willing to do what ever it takes to earn half a million dollars; bribes, weapons and drug, but only you can decide how far he’ll go. You can manage your team of crooked cops, deal with the mafia and still go around investigating the odd crime as well. The game is currently up on Kickstarter. Check it out to learn more.
I feel this will be a great crime game, but two other credits to the game is that it stars the voice of macho Duke Nukemand sometimes it is devilishly fun to play on the corrupt side.
One of the Xbox One’s most highly touted features when the console was first announced, but sadly us Aussies missed out on having the convenience of a TV Guide right on our consoles. That is, until today. Microsoft have finally made the OneGuide available for Australian Xbox One consoles, which means that we now get access to all of these great features:
Favourite Channelsin OneGuide: Create your own personal favourites in OneGuide so you can more quickly choose what you want to watch.
Channel Tuning by Voice: OneGuide allows you to call out your favourite TV channel by name and start watching it instantly.
TV Listings in the OneGuide:Navigate TV listings using the controller or with Kinect Voice* control – e.g. say “Xbox show guide, what’s on Channel 7?” – to quickly navigate directly to that channel’s listings for free-to-air TV. Listings are available in both full screen and mini-guide, with the option of parental controls.
TV Playback in Snap Mode: You can now watch TV using the Snap mode, watching TV on the side and leaving the main screen for games, Skype, or other applications.
OneGuide on SmartGlass: You will have access to the OneGuide listings on the new Xbox One SmartGlass Beta app with the ability to change channels on your TV. You can download this app from the marketplace or store on your mobile device.
TV On Demand: TV listings in OneGuide will indicate which shows are available on demand from video apps.
As if that wasn’t enough, Microsoft have also confirmed that they would be releasing a Digital TV Tuner for the console starting in March this year. That means you wont need anthing else but your Xbox One and a television to enjoy all of your media.
