KOEI TECMO ANNOUNCES WESTERN RELEASE OF NIGHTS OF AZURE

KOEI TECMO ANNOUNCES WESTERN RELEASE OF NIGHTS OF AZURE

Known as Yoru No Nai Kuni in Japan, This Dark New Title from GUST and Producer Keisuke Kikuchi is Headed for Western Shores

BURLINGAME, Calif. – October 28th 2015 – KOEI TECMO America is delighted to announce the upcoming western release of successful new IP from GUST studios, Nights of Azure. Originally released in Japan this fall as Yoru No Nai Kuni, Nights of Azure is currently development for the PlayStation®4 computer entertainment system, and is slated for release across North America on March 29th, 2016. In celebration of this announcement, KOEI TECMO has released a new, introductory trailer for this new IP, along with a first batch of assets.

Under the direction of Keisuke Kikuchi (Fatal Frame, Deception IV), Nights of Azure marks a new, darker direction for GUST studios while maintaining many of the gameplay elements adored by dedicated fans of the studio.

Nights of Azure is a tragic tale of two friends faced with impossible decisions that will test their loyalty to their quest and to each other. Set on an uncharted island that floats in the North Sea, Nights of Azure paints a picture of a land where nights are tormented by azure-blooded demons. In this kingdom of Ruswal, very few people leave their homes after the sun has set, let alone have the strength and skill to take on these powerful monsters. One of the best among these brave few is the protagonist, Arnice, a knight of great skill and power, who is assisted by her friend and priestess Lilysse in a quest to rid the land of demons. However, they soon find out that the solution to the island’s problems might not be as simple as defeating enemies in battle.

In-The-House-Poster-01

The folks over at In The House are hosting a good ol’ fashioned Halloween double feature screening of Se7en and Evil Dead 2 this Friday at George St Cinemas. In The House screens cult classic films and for Halloween they’ve decided to do something and screen two movies instead of one and give out prizes to best dressed attendees.

We’ve been covering this season of In The House, with our review of Grease apparently being quite popular (I’m not sure why). Feel free to read any of our other reviews and also to come along to the screening this Friday.

You can buy tickets here.

Gearbox Releases First Look at Battleborn PvP with a new Trailer

battleborn-promo-shot-001

Gearbox Software and 2K pulled back the curtains on Battleborn’s competitive multiplayer mode at Paris Games Week, just ahead of the closed technical beta that kicks off this Friday on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows. The new gameplay trailer features plenty of action and gives viewers a quick and dirty look at the 5 vs 5 competitive multiplayer.

Battleborn will ship with three competitive modes. Capture is a classic domination style mode, while Meltdown will see players guarding minions as they attempt to toss themselves into the incinerator at the middle of the map, and finally Incursion is a FPS take on the classic MOBA game mode that sees players and minions simultaneously attacking the enemy base while defending their own. A new character was also announced at Paris Games Week. ISIC is a spirit-mech that has crashed reality itself, a pretty disturbing thought if you ask me.

Battleborn launches on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows on February 9, 2016.
