Although Nintendo announced plenty of news for fans of the company around the world, there was a certain little something that they kept exclusive to their Japanese fans which is some unfortunate news for fans of their older game systems. The company announced during the Japanese Nintendo Direct that they will be releasing a New Nintendo 3DS XL system that will feature the Super Famicom/SNES design in mid-April in Japan where it will sell for 21,600 yen.
This is quite fitting since the company also announced that SNES games will be available for the first time through the New Nintendo 3DS, though owners of the normal 3DS will have to upgrade if they want to play them as they are not available on older versions of the handheld.
As was announced yesterday, Square Enix has released the first English trailer for Star Ocean: Integrity And Faithlessness and while it may not be a brand new trailer for those that have been following the Japanese videos for the game, this one does offer us a look at how the game’s English voice work will sound as every main character is shown off here and given a few voiced-over lines set against the game’s theme song “Astra Nova” by Androp.
You can check out the video below and as for the game itself, it is currently set to be released in North America and Europe sometime in 2016 for the PlayStation 4 and in Japan on March 31st for the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4.

Those who have been eager to play a fresh all-ages visual novel from Japan will be delighted to hear that MangaGamer has one coming down the pipe at the end of the month. They have announced that they plan on releasing propeller’s Tokyo Babel on PC on March 31st for $34.95 through Steamas well as their own website. If you choose to pre-order the title through the official website you’ll net yourself a 10% discount bringing the price down to $29.70.
Tokyo Babel begins its tale on the eve of the apocalypse: parallel worlds crumble in succession as the gates of Heaven are closed shut and Hell is irrevocably submerged in water. In a final, desperate attempt to set things right, the surviving angels and demons flock to the soaring purgatory of Tokyo Babel, intent on climbing Jacob’s Ladder to reopen the gates of Heaven and earn divine forgiveness.
In the midst of this world-rending calamity, a young man called Tendou Setsuna travels to Tokyo Babel in order to lend his aid in the quest for Heaven – joining him are the angel Raziel, the demon Lilith, as well as the amnesia-stricken, yet relentlessly optimistic high schooler, Kugutsu Sorami. Theirs is a journey laden with love, hate, passion and betrayal – one that, at its conclusion, may very well alter the fate of the universe as we know it over a fifty hour long visual novel.

With the Xbox One version being released by Experience on March 22nd the company has decided to release a trio of videos showing off the many character portraits that players can choose from when it comes to creating a character in Stranger of Sword City.
Players can still choose between using either the original artwork from Yoko Tsukamoto or the new style from Oxijiyen but the chosen character portrait will remain the same no matter what option chosen, even if it is from Students of the Round, a separate game from Experience. Stranger of Sword City is also coming out on the PlayStation Vita by NIS America in North America a month later on April 26th and April 29th in Europe.
It appears that it is hard to keep a zombie down, even when it’s a zombie game. Deep Silver has announced that they will be releasing Dead Island Definitive Collection, a game that contains both the first Dead island and Dead Island: Riptide in remastered form and all of their DLC, on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. Both games will retain the same mechanics and co-op as before and will now feature higher quality textures, a new photo-realistic lighting system, physically based shading, anti-aliasing, and improved models.
The Dead Island Definitive Collection will also contain a new Dead Island Retro Revenge which is a retro styled side-scroller focusing on melee combat with power-ups and super attacks. When released on May 31st the title will cost $39.99 though they will be released separately for $14.99 a piece, minus the aforementioned retro title.
It appears that Ubisoft took a little shortcut when it came to Far Cry Primal. The people over at Gamepressure must have had a hunch that they had seen the lay out of Far Cry Primals map before and it turns out they were right. After comparing the basic features, such as the layout of the rivers, ponds, and explorable land, Far Cry Primal‘s map is extremely similar to the one found in Far Cry 4, though one is set in Eastern Europe during the Stone Age and the other is in the modern day Himmalayas.
The enlargeable comparison image can be seen above with Far Cry 4 shown to the left and the map from Far Cry Primal on the right. Considering the fact that Far Cry Primal has been out for a little over two weeks now and no one that has reviewed the title nor any of the people playing the game since then seemed to have caught on, I must say that Ubisoft’s team has done a stellar job making this recycled map feel fresh, though it isn’t the best thing to be revealed for the company.
