First Major Chrono Trigger Patch Released on Steam

The official Chrono Trigger PC port was met with a wall of negative feedback on Steam after Square Enix opted to port the mobile version of the game, instead of the original SNES version. Fans quickly lashed out against the Steam port, quickly dropping the Steam reviews to Mostly Negative status within the first few days. While the reviews have improved out in the past month, Chrono Trigger fans have continued to criticize the controls designed for touchscreens, the graphical issues, and the poor UI.

Square Enix is now making good on their promise to address the complaints with the first of many patches. A new “Original” graphics mode is now available for the game that is closer to the game’s original SNES look. Additionally, the game’s font, dialogue boxes, and start up sequence have been replaced to better match the SNES version.

Future patches are in the works to address other issues, including improving the UI for controller and keyboard/mouse use and increasing the cut scene resolution.

CALL OF DUTY: WWII ‘THE WAR MACHINE’ DLC PACK ROLLS OUT TODAY

Call of Duty: WWII DLC Season Continues with Three Exciting New Multiplayer Maps, an All-New War Mode Mission, and Nazi Zombies saga update ‘The Shadowed Throne’

April 11, 2018 – Starting today, players can join the war effort to combat the large-scale escalation of Axis power as Call of Duty®: WWII – The War Machine is available now, first on PlayStation®4. Packed with new multiplayer content, The War Machine DLC offering is the second expansion pack for Call of Duty: WWII, the No. 1 top-selling console video game of 2017 in North America. With today’s release, players can further the battle as they globetrot across Egypt, France, Germany, and Sicily on three new Multiplayer maps, take on an all-new War Mode multiplayer mission, and survive the undead in the newest Nazi Zombies saga chapter, The Shadowed Throne.

Egypt – Call of Duty: WWII heads to North Africa for the first time in this all-new Multiplayer map. Fight in and around the ancient pyramids at Giza, and battle for an interior temple flanked by tight tunnels adorned with ancient calligraphy. Every playstyle can succeed in this varied and dynamic new map.

Dunkirk – Face off on the beach and boardwalk of the French seaside city of Dunkirk. This map features a large, open and dangerous beach area flanked by tight building interiors. Sniping can be effective here, though aggressive running and gunning can also pay off, making every engagement unique in this historic battleground.

V-2 – This small, fast-paced map set in a rocket development and test site located in rural Germany features a launch tower in the centre that provides a focal point and an opportunity to grab an elevated sightline on unsuspecting opponents. Explosive action is guaranteed here, in more ways than one.

Operation Husky – Join the Allies in the invasion of Sicily, one of the major blows against the Axis War Machine. Under the cover of darkness, gather and transmit intel on sensitive enemy ports and then – for the first time in Call of Duty: WWII Multiplayer – take to the skies in a fighter plane to protect bomber squadrons on their way to destroy the targets.

The War Machine DLC pack also features the co-operative Nazi Zombies saga update, The Shadowed Throne. Following Doktor Straub’s trail after narrowly escaping the zombie-infested island, the crew travels to a destroyed Berlin, Germany. Doktor Straub’s monstrous army is hellbent on purging his city of the Allied invaders. Players will join Marie, Drostan, Olivia, and Jefferson on their descent into madness in a city warped with terror, blood and war, as Nazi Zombies step out from the shadows of history.

Call of Duty: WWII – The War Machine DLC pack is available now, first on PlayStation®4 for a suggested retail price of AUD$19.95 / NZD$22.95. The War Machine DLC Pack is also included in Call of Duty: WWII DLC Season Pass*, featuring all four DLC Packs planned for the year, as part of the discounted bundle offered at a suggested retail price of AUD$64.95 / NZD$69.95 – a discount of $15 off the individual purchase of all four DLC Map Packs (discount based on four individual DLC Map Packs at a suggested retail price of $20 each). Super Daryl Deluxe Starts Class Today on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PC

Super Daryl Deluxe Starts Class Today on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PC

ROCHESTER, N.Y. – 11 April, 2018 – Super Daryl Deluxe, the RPGvania with a brawler-style combat system and hand-drawn comic aesthetic from Dan & Gary Games, awkwardly introduces itself today on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and PC.

Welcome to Water Falls High School (WFHS), a prestigious and perfectly normal multidimensional educational institute, where classes are alternate worlds based on their subjects. Distill essences in giant beakers in Science or have a very weird encounter with a very drunk and naked Julius Caesar in History.

Daryl Whitelaw, WFHS’s newest student, still has a lot to learn if he wants to survive and more importantly, make friends. Students keep disappearing. The mysterious new principal sits sealed away in his office. Classrooms are on lockdown and rumors fly about the return of the little thing that almost destroyed the world 40 years ago.

Saving the day might be a stretch for someone who thinks a mullet is a fashionable haircut, but Daryl and his poor fashion sense are the last hope for the students of WFHS. Granted he’s pretty useless on his own, but with a mysterious self-help book Daryl can mix, customize, and upgrade more than 45 powers to unleash on foes.

Unfortunately for Daryl, there’s no page advising against mouth-breathing. Luckily, he can complete side quests for his classmates to try and make up for his lack of cool. Climbing the ladder of teenage judgement sucks, but if Daryl manages to get somewhere he can unlock sweet new passive abilities and other rewards.

“All I can do is look at this game and think ‘Oh no what have I done?’” said Gary Porter, Gary of Dan & Gary Games. “Our playtesters said they really like Super Daryl Deluxe, but maybe they were just trying to be nice.”

Super Daryl Deluxe is available in English for $19.99 USD and €19.99.

For more information, please visit Dan & Gary Games’ official website or follow them on Twitter and Facebook.

Extinction Soars onto Shelves Today

Extinction Soars onto Shelves Today

Available on the PlayStation®4, Xbox One and Windows PC

WALNUT CREEK, Calif. (April 10, 2018) — Humanity must survive! Save the population from colossal giants in the new action adventure game, Extinction, available today from Iron Galaxy and Modus Games.

Play as Avil, one of the last remaining Sentinels and the only warrior equipped with the skills to take down the fearsome Ravenii. These 150-foot-tall bloodthirsty monsters were previously only spoken of in fables, but today they return with a vengeance.

“When we first brainstormed the idea behind Extinction, we thought wouldn’t it be cool to scale these giant monsters and use actual, real-time combat skills to cut them down,” said Derek Neal, Executive Producer at Modus Games. “With the help of the amazing team at Iron Galaxy, we’re so excited to finally have players put those skills to test.”

“From the very beginning, Extinction was a game about two things: strategy and combat,” said Kraig Kujawa, Game Director at Iron Galaxy.  “Every situation you encounter is going to force you to think strategically – do I battle my way through a horde of minions to save this group of civilians or do I scale up this tower to jump on the back of the ogre who’s destroying the city?”

Featuring a single-player campaign with dynamic side missions, players will be able to master ultra-flexible melee combat and gravity-defying traversal mechanics throughout the world of Dolorum.

Other features include:

  • Skill-Based Combat. Travel horizontally and vertically, perform wall runs, and use your whip as a vault to execute devastating air assaults. Master dynamic combat manoeuvres to effectively traverse the giant beasts and expose their weak points, progressing along different skill trees to develop a path best suited to your playstyle.
  • Interactive Environment. Move freely around a fully destructible environment and use objects throughout the world to your strategic advantage.
  • Innumerable Battle Scenarios. Every battlefield is different from the last, ensuring a unique combat situation each time you play.
  • Skirmish Mode. Create unique battlegrounds and challenge players online to compete for the top score.
  • Extinction Mode. Fight off a continuous horde of assailants as wave after wave of ogres and their minions attack without relent.

Extinction launches today on the PlayStation®4 computer entertainment system, Xbox One and Windows PC, digitally and in stores. Its first DLC titled “Jackal Invasion” drops in May and is available to purchase separately or as part of the “Days of Dolorum” Season Pass.

Black Desert Online becomes more Magical with the Addition of Fairies

Black Desert Online becomes more Magical with the Addition of Fairies

Amsterdam, The Netherlands – 10th of April, 2018/ Pearl Abyss and Kakao Games have announced today that Black Desert Online players can soon enjoy the long-awaited fairy system which will go live tomorrow after this week’s maintenance.

Fairies are peaceful creatures that enjoy the flowers under the grace of Queen Theiah. One day, a golden rift broke open in the fairy world. Unable to resist its own curiosity, Laila bravely embarked on an adventure and tumbled into the world of Black Desert. Players can seek Laila fairies as a companion in their journey by completing a recurring quest. Each can learn different skills that benefit their characters and makes life in Black Desert Online more pleasurable.

To give more character and personality, Melissa Hutchison was chosen to cover Laila’s in-game voice. The talented voice actress is known amongst many gamers for her work on Telltale’s The Walking Dead series where she has voiced the main character, Clementine. She also delivered the voice work for League of Legends’ champion Ashe. She can be heard in a new trailer that highlights the new content.

Laila exists in 4 different tiers, where the tier indicates the maximum level of which the fairy can grow towards. At every 10 levels, Laila will be able to obtain a random skill. All fairies automatically learn and equip the Luck +1 skill which increases the chance of obtaining rare items.

Her skills can help in numerous ways, the most obvious being a lantern function to help players navigate dark places. Other skills include auto purified water consumption which is ideal for desert survival, underwater breathing, instant resurrection without penalties, and last but not least, auto potion consumption when HP is low.

Adventurers can grow and level their Laila by feeding her equipment such as Rocaba and Grunil or the item Sweet Honey Wine, which is a craftable item in Black Desert Online. The level cap for the highest tier fairy is 40.

About Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands

Launched in 2001 with critical acclaim from fans of the Tom Clancy’s world, the Ghost Recon franchise has since convinced 25 million players thanks to breakthrough releases and has become the best-selling Tom Clancy’s brand on the last generation of consoles and PC. Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands brings the franchise to the next level with an episode designed from the ground up for a new generation, featuring a massive and visually stunning open world, playable for the first time online in four-player co-op.

Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands is a work of fiction. Like similar Tom Clancy’s games from Ubisoft, the game takes place in a modern universe inspired by reality, but the characters, locations and stories are created solely for entertainment purposes. One of the reasons Bolivia was chosen as the background of this game was due to its magnificent landscapes and rich culture. While the game’s premise imagines a different reality than the one that exists in Bolivia today, we do hope that the in-game world comes close to representing the country’s beautiful topography, and that players enjoy exploring the diverse and open landscapes it moved us to create. Any resemblance to actual events or any real persons, living or dead, is purely coincidental.
