This is the trailer for Red Dead Redemption released today .. As you all know :
This trailer is called “My name is John Marston”, and showcases some of the stunning vistas, rolling plains and huge action sequences in Rockstar San Diego’s upcoming open-world Western adventure.
New York, NY – December 1, 2009 – Rockstar Games, a publishing label of Take-Two Interactive Software, Inc. (NASDAQ: TTWO), is proud to announce that Red Dead Redemption, the successor to 2004’s hit Red Dead Revolver, will be available on the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft and the PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system on April 27, 2010 in North America and on April 30, 2010 internationally.
“This is our vision of the American West: beautiful, bloody and action-packed. The game is a true epic, and has been developed with the same production values and attention to detail we put into all our projects,” said Sam Houser, Founder of Rockstar Games. “Red Dead Redemption represents another milestone for us in the development of open world games.”
Red Dead Redemption recreates the American West at the turn of the 20th century: a violent and turbulent time of rapid growth and change. Players become the partially reformed outlaw John Marston; blackmailed by the government, his family threatened as he is forced to traverse the vast and unforgiving expanses of the Western frontier in search of members of his former gang. In a dangerous world full of opportunistic criminals, corrupt officials and settlers battling the elements in a struggle to survive, Marston’s journey takes him from the dusty and lawless frontier to the civilized towns of the North, and down into a Mexico on the brink of a full-scale civil war.
Developed by Rockstar San Diego in conjunction with Rockstar North, Red Dead Redemption is built on the internally developed Rockstar Advanced Game Engine (RAGE) and Natural Motion’s Euphoria physics featured in Grand Theft Auto IV and Midnight Club: Los Angeles for an unprecedented level of realism and atmosphere.

SNOW from Capcom-Unity shared this fine piece of information about Lost Planet 2 BOSS ARKID X .. now dont be scared, SNOW covers all you need to know on how to tame this wild Beast/Monster/Thing/ and anything else you can come up with 😉
Lost Planet 2 is full of epic akrid, which you’ll get full doses of constantly throughout your journey of the campaign mode. In Episode 2 you’ll be up against one such akrid, mysteriously named Akrid X. We’ve got a bunch of new screens to share with you, as well as some info on how this devilish looking monster attacks. He’s fast, using his wings to fly and hop all over the city. Keeping your eyes on him is not easy, which means you’ll be on your toes the whole fight with him.
His attacks range very widely, including quite a few nasty tricks with his glowing arm. He’ll swipe at you and your allies, and even focus in for a painful pin-point stab.
Be on the look out for his throw. Akrid X picks up anything he can find, like rocks, or even train cars and hurls them at you. And if you get hit by a train… well, you’ll be watching that respawn screen.
Loads more screens and info about how this guy attacks after the jump!
Final Fight: Double Impact is two great arcade classics coming to XBL and PSN in one sweet package.
Final Fight is one of the all-time greats of the beat-em-up genre. Choose from Mike “the Mayor” Haggar, Guy, or Cody, to team up and take back the kidnapped Jessica. On your way to final boss wheelchair crossbow master Belger, you’ll have to fight your way through Street Fighter boss crossovers, including Rolento, Sodom, and Andore (aka Hugo?). This game is absolutely required reading for any fan of beat-em-ups, and features enhanced HD graphical filters (a la MVC2), and drop-in online co-op!
Magic Sword is another side-scrolling classic, chock full of everything you want out of an epic dungeon fantasy: secret doors, power-ups, tons of enemies, bosses galore, and oh yeah—assist characters (go with the Knight—he’s so good!). Magic Sword also gets more on-line coop goodness, and the purdy new HD graphical filters.
Final Fight: Double Impact will be shipping with GGPO netcode. Tony Cannon, GGPO creator created GGPO in an effort to bring that immediate arcade feeling online. He’s succeeded beyond the wildest expectations, but don’t take my word for it: try it yourself, and become a believer! Check out GGPO here : GGPO OFFICIAL WEBSITE , It’s totally fantastic and should be tried out.
Final Fight: Double Impact arrives April, 2010!

With the campaign in MW2 being short, Infinity Ward have put a lot of work into the multiplayer experience. The MP has so much depth, there is no way I can go through it all, would take ages and use up a lot of time I would rather be playing MW2!
I completed Prestige 10 on COD4, racked up about 64,000 kills all up. What kept me going for so long was the fantastic MP and getting to Prestige 10! What it also did was put me off MP FPS for a while. I hardly played COD5 online, so I think I was pretty fresh for MW2. I am not the best, far from it, I just played a lot!!
Infinity Ward has added some nice little extras to the MP experience, changed some things around (Juggernaut and Matrydom!!), given us Title and Emblem’s for online achievements. There are no gamerscore achievements to get online, which I think is an added blessing.
Prestige is back in MW2, Level 10 is back, this time you need to rank up to Level 70 to go up a level. Once you hit Prestige, you are then given the option to “start” again, all your stats reset to 0.
Let’s look at my favourite new things!
Killstreaks!! Yes, we are now able to choose our own Killstreak rewards. Things like Care Packages, Sentry Guns, Harrier Strikes and Nukes!! Are available. Kill streaks rewards need to be unlocks over the course of the 70 Levels. Killstreak of 5 will get you a Sentry Gun, 7 get you a Harrier Strike, 15 an EMP to wipe out everyones electronics (no more red dot!), and the big one, 25 kill streak will get you a game ending Nuke.I do think that some of the Kill Streaks are way too powerful, AC-130 – causes absolute carnage, on an open map there is little place to hide. Chopper Gunner, give you control of the gunners seat, again this can cause absolute carnage online.
Death Streaks!! Remember dying so many times in a row and spawning and dying.. and spawning and dying.. well there are now 4 Death Streak rewards.
Copycat – where you can copy the person who has just killed you class.
Painkiller – gives you 10 seconds of extra health boosted health.
Matyrdom – drop a live grenade when killed.
Last Stand – gives you that extra bit of life to kill that attacker
These are nice added extras, especially when on a bad run.
Emblems – Do special things, get an emblem which you can add to your badge.
Title – Again do special things, get a Title which can change your badge.
The multitude of weapons are back, with a few added extras. You can equip a Riot shield, which is not only good for blocking opponents bullets and grenades, but is used as a effective battering ram if they get too close. If you team up with a buddy who has a shield equipped you can rack up the kills.
My favourites are still the P90, the M16A4 (triple burst, just need to aim straight!), the M4A1, the RPD and a new one the AUG (Light Machine Gun).
Each gun has XP rewards to help you to level up faster. There are also gun Mastery rewards for using the guns in different ways. Mastery level for a gun require 9 different achievements. These include 60 kills with the Red Dot equipped, 15 kills with the silencer, 20 kills with the grenade launcher, 40 kills with bullet penetration – complete all 9, get an extra 10,000 XP. It can definitely add up and help you rank up faster.
Perks are back, again a couple of nice extras. Bling is pretty cool, lets you outfit most guns with 2 attachments. So you can have the Grenade Launcher and Red Dot sight fitted, or Holographic Sight and FMJ (bullet penetration), the choice is yours to help out on your quest to kill!
Might like to mention new equipment, not just your plain frag, C4 and Claymores anymore. Probably the most effective one in team objective games (Domination, Demolition) is Tactical Insertion. This will let you spawn anywhere you want on the map. But be careful, the enemy can also destroy you tactical insertion point. I have seen plenty of matches where players spawn directly on a flag!!
Another one is the Knife – lets you throw a knife for an instant kill on an opponent. We are already starting to see some amazing knife kills with knives being thrown across the map and killing people – expect to see way more in future.
What I don’t like at the moment, but put up with it.
LAGGGGGGGGGGG!!! COD5 included a local option search when looking for multiplayer games, this was great for Aussies as it gave us good connections 90% of the time. IW seems to have forgotten this important extra, and have supposedly got optimised matchmaking. Yeah sure, 90% of the time you either have 1 or 2 bars as an American is host. This is not good, sometimes it can take a whole clip to kill a player. With 4 bars solid green connection, 3-4 bullets to the body kills the enemy! Come on Infinity Ward!!!
Boosting! Yeah, I know there are no achievements, but people always like to get to the top of the Leaderboard. One thing that is proving popular is getting a Nuke. Now a 25 killstreak is nearly impossible for most of us (well for me it is impossible!) – in Free for All, you may find 2 players camping, typically in a corner of the map where no one usually spawns, tactical insertion in place, and repeated kills. Someone will go 25-0 in a match, but you will also find that someone went 0-25. We should all make it our mission to find the boosters and kill them!
Leaderboard kill streaks.. you have to laugh 1000 kill streaks? Come off it, maybe IW will take care of these players one day soon.
Well that’s about it for me, this game was hyped up big time – to me, the hype has been justified. I can see myself playing time for a long time to come.
