Yeah baby! You hear that sound? That’s the sound of us doing our superior dance over here at EA. Why? Because we took home a whopping six VGAs this weekend. Woo hoo! In your face, everyone else! Sure, it helps when you are a humongous corporation that partners with other folks who do all the work–like making those good games–but, whatever! We’re still taking the credit! That’s what we do!
Anyway, here is the list of winners that we are taking all the credit for because we are awesome:
A couple points of analysis, if I may. By taking home the best 360 and PC games, we almost swept the platform awards. This was a problem on the PS3, though, since we weren’t even nominated in that category, which I think says more about the PS3 than it does us. Second, while I am happy about Beatles: Rock Band winning best music game, it totally didn’t follow to me that that game then lost best soundtrack to DJ Hero. TheBeatles shouldn’t lose to a bunch of knob-twiddling, tattoed skinny boys sucking on pacifiers, if you ask me.
And don’t get me started on the awards show itself. I’ll save that for another rant somewhere else. But, meanwhile, if you want to see a list of all the winners, not just the ones that we here at Everything’s Awesome won, go to the Official Site, where they’ve cleverly designed it so you need to click through about 800 pages to see it all. I need to try something like that here now!

Capcom have announced that starting on December 22nd, you’ll be able to buy Devil May Cry 4 via digital distribution from any of the digital distribution partners of your choice.
If you don’t have a favorite online store, then you could get DMC4 directly from the Capcom E-store. They provide excellent service and hey, you can’t get any better than buying it directly from the source.
Like many of Capcom’s PC SKUs, DMC4 PC is by far the very best version of the game.
Here are some of the PC specific enhancements:
• Turbo mode will turn-up the action to insane speeds not possible on consoles
• Legendary Dark Knight Mode will harness advanced PC processing power and fill the screen with an unbelievable number of enemies for extra difficulty
• Familiar enemies from the console versions will show-up in new locations
• High resolution screen settings allow the cut scenes of the game to run at up to 120 frames per second (up from 60 frames per second)
• Benchmark Testing lets users test PC performance to run DMC4 through a series of intense boss fights
• PC Settings allow you to customize graphic resolutions, texture sizes, and a frame rate in accordance with your PC
• Part of the games Games for Windows program
•Compatible with DirectX 9 and DirectX 10.
If you happen to have one of the Nvidia 3D Vision setups, the game is extra stunning. Until RE5 PC was released, Capcom believe DMC4 was the best experience that could be had on that technology.

They announced today their upcoming game release schedule for early 2010 for both the new DS and Wii owners.

Manomio’sC64 emulator for the iPhone ver 1.2 has been shipped off to Apple for review. Accoring to Manomio, the Apple App store review process takes approx 14days to approve so, if all goes to plan we can all be playing with our updated C64 emulator around the 24th December – WOOO HOOO !!!
Now whats in the new 1.2 update ?? Glad you asked! Here is a summary of the most interesting changes:
Left / Right handed control options. Default is now joystick on left and fire on right.
Joystick as icon in landscape mode.
Displays the joystick as an icon, showing it’s position in a fixed location at the top left / right of the screen.
DPad style mode in portrait. You only have to touch the general direction to register movement.

DARK VOID GOODIES !!
This swag is WAY OUT THERE !! It’s been to the VOID and back, so it’s very special. Ok lets go through them one by one.
First, we have a cool looking Dark Void USB Flash Drive, this will always come in handy when your hacking into the Watchers central database.
Next we have the Dark Void Iron On Heat Transfer sticker, perfect to slap on the side of your Dark Void Helmet .. will make you look extra cool (bonus points with the ladies, that’s the Watcher Ladies .. ewwww !!)
Next an Exclusive Dark Void Prelude Comic. Just the thing to keep you company at night when you’re all alone in the Void. (its a good read by the way) great work by Udon Comics, it looks like they have travelled to the Void as well.
Next we have some limited edition Greetings from the Void – Postcards. If your’re stuck in the Void battling all those Nasty Watchers, You’re going to want to send your mother pics of you flying and gallivanting all over the void so that she can rest easy at night. (warning .. postcard might never reach your mother due to the very very bad postal service that the Watchers have in the void)
Next, something we all need. A Rubber squishy Yellow Dark Void Grenade. Perfect for squeezing and letting out all that stress of flying around in circles trying to get the hang on that Jetpack on your back. The Grenade can handle the pressure, so give it as much as you can. It can take it. And if all else fails and you run out of real bullets whilst battling the watchers you could throw this at them. It wont hurt anyone but it could buy you some time to high-tail it outta there while they try and figure out what it is. (The Watchers ain’t that bright you know)
And finally the JEWEL in my Dark Void helmet. Here we have a very RARE and limited edition Dark Void Poster signed by the who’s who of Dark Void. Now this is even better than Dan from Street Fighters personally signed Autograph that he tries to flog to everyone he meets on the street. I do have to say that this is certainly very authentic and will be worth a little bit of Dark Void currency in the future .. hmmm I wonder if any of the Watchers would be interested in it .. with this .. I could buy myself a nice condo in the Void and have Watcher maids bring me cocktails while I’m over looking the total destruction of the earth !! MUUUHAHAHA (evil laugh)
