If you have watched the first Inuyasha which has been broadcasted for many years now in America and other parts of the world, you may know the voice actress Kelly Sheridan who performed the voice for Sango(seen below). Today she said on both hertwitter, and her facebook that she has begun to do voice over work for the new Inuyasha series, Inuyasha: The Final Act. Inuyasha: The Final Act adapted the final 21 volumes of Rumiko Takahashi’s Inuyasha. The Manga itself had ended in June 2008 and since then Viz Media has been releasing the Manga in North America. One can guess that they also may be releasing this new and final anime adaption to Inuyasha.
Inuyasha was one of the very first Anime I ever was able to watch and is what made me love Anime for what it is today. I was able to follow the Manga all the way to it’s end and was always concerned that the Anime adaption had ended so early with the final battles still left unshown. Looks like now we will all see what will happen to Inuyasha and Naraku. For those that don’t know, Inuyasha is the story of a half-demon called Inuyasha, and a girl who can pass through time named Kagome. They are seeking the Shikon No Tama, or the Jewel of Four souls which has the power to grant any wish. Only there is evil afoot and many demons are seeking the jewel for their own use. The worst of all the demons is Naraku who has spun a lethal web of deceit among every main character’s lives.
Looks like there was a bit of a mis-step made by somebody when Lionhead and Microsoft uploaded this cover art to Games Press. The unfortunate problem is that the stamp on top of the case says Only on Xbox 360 and Windows. This means that unless this is just an error in released box art covers, then there will be a PC Fable 3 as well. There has been no official announcement yet however by either company but one can guess that thanks to this mess up that it will be coming shortly.
Switching gears, what do you guys think of this cover art? Looks amazing with the gruff looking man and the crown in my opinion. Plus the crown definitely raises some questions as to what the plot may be.
Looks like trouble is brewing in the world of Alpha Protocol. There are so many factions going at war with each other or teaming up with one another that there will be continuous blood shed on all fronts. With the groups such as the Triad, terrorists, special police force, and Mafia to name a few there will never be an end to the conflicts. However what is a lone spy to do? That is up for you to decide.
One thing is for certain though, step on one faction’s shoes and you may gain the trust of another. However by joining forces with that organization you may make enemies with yet another one, this precarious balance of factions should lead to some very interesting predicaments. With Alpha Protocol set to be released by Sega in Australia on May 27th, Europe May 28th, and the United States on June 1st we shall see who sides with who.
Racing through the deluge of titles coming out next week (Alan Wake, Prince of Persia, and Red Dead Redemption) is the Racing game that prides itself on everything around you being blown up: Split/Second Velocity.
Recently the developers have let loose a bunch of videos, and when I say a bunch… I mean a bunch. I think I’ve supplied a new video every 2-3 days in the last 2 weeks. The strategy could work, hyping up a lot of people over a short period of time. On the other hand, it could backfire with not enough time to let people decide whether they want it or not.
Either way, below is another video, this time emphasizing the audio within the game. If I play the game and can recognize and actual Lion Roar, I’m going to burst out laughing.
You gotta love the month before E3, it generally leaves us editors desperately scratching and clawing for any tidbit of news.
Speaking of scratching and clawing… (see what I did there?)
I bring you: a zombiefier.
Yes, a zombiefier. Haven’t you always wondered what you would look like as a flesh eating corpse? As a walking pus-bag? A ‘Zack’? Skin Eater?
Coming soon, an official George A. Romero “App of The Dead” will be available for the iPod and iPod Touch, and will finally answer that burning question.
You will able to use the images of yourself, friends or whoever on your iThing and zombify yourself by adding gashes, scratches, all sorts of wounds and facial deformities to your picture-perfect face.
Not only will you FINALLY be able to see what you look like as a zombie, you will also be able to “shoot” at your zombie self, complete with blood splatter and all. And if you’re really proud of your work, you can save and upload your ghoul to Facebook.
I’m totally buying this. As a zombie connoisseur I’ve always wanted to know what I’d look like as one. Thank GOD for this app, otherwise I was worried I’d have to inject myself with the T-Virus or something.

Rocket Knight Publisher: Konami Developer: Climax Platforms: Xbox 360 Release Date: May 12th, 2010
Story
“Sparkster makes his triumphant arrival on next-gen consoles with Rocket Knight, the newest entry in the beloved 2-D side-scrolling rocket action series. Our favorite opossum hero returns home after 15 years to find the kingdom of Zephyrus in shambles. Use your wits and Sparkster’s trusty rocket pack to dodge and defeat a menacing wolf army threatening the lives of the people.” [via Xbox.com]
The game starts out with Sparkster tending his farm, but when the wolf army attacks the kingdom of Zephyrus he grabs his trusty Rocket Knight armor and rushes off to save the kingdom. You take control of Sparkster as you go through the levels destroying the wolf army, fending off the Alex, and uncovering a secret enemy disguised as the new Zephyrus defenders.
Gameplay
Take the jetpack and the sword as your traverse 14 different levels. There are 3 types of levels that you will run into while playing. Platforming levels where you jump through the level killing bad guys. These levels play out just like a normal platforming games. The second type of level are flying levels where the screen scrolls by itself and you have to avoid obstacles such as flying enemies, mines, and missiles. Flying levels only require one button press in order to shoot and holding in the button to charge up a powered shot. The final level type is boss stages which have the most spectacular scenes in the game, but the bosses work on a random pattern system. I say random because it isn’t a pattern exactly, but more of a set amount of attacks that each has a specific way to be avoided. The only problem lies in the fact that there isn’t a clear order in which each move will occur and the location the attack takes place at is based on your attacks against the boss.
Extra gameplay twists are added throughout the game, such as ice levels midway through the game. The cold level causes your jetpack to freeze and halt the usually recharging power bar. In order to refill it you must sit in front of torches to thaw it out. The icy levels also add frost around your screen which is a nice little graphical bonus.
The gameplay is straight forward with the only task being to survive till you get to the end of the level. Although it is straight forward, it doesn’t mean it is easy. On normal the game starts out really easy but the last four levels are brutal. On hard every level is pretty brutal and beating it without dying will test many players, but once you have the levels memorizes they too will be beatable.
Audio & Graphics
Rocket Knight is a 3d sidescroller. The only audio and graphics in the game that is memorable are during the boss battles. Throughout the rest of the game you have basic 3d esque elements in this sidescrolling platformer. There are a few annoyances within the game, such as enemies or platforms in the background that look like they can be attacked or stepped on. The graphics are nice but on occasion distracting.
Achievements
The Achievements found in Rocket Knight consist of beating the game, quite a few times. You’ll need to beat the arcade mode on normal, on hard in a single playthrough, on hard in less than 60 minutes, complete arcade mode scoring 1,000,000 points or more and on gold Sparkster mode. That’s a minimum of 3 playthroughs only if you can beat hard in one playthrough and in less than 60 minutes at the same time, which is pretty hard to do. 1,000,000 points needs to be achieved during one of those playthroughs as well, but if you can manage to beat hard on one playthrough or even beat gold Sparkster mode you will most likely be achieving 1,000,000 points. There are also the miscellaneous achievements for doing certain tasks on certain levels, but you can just go back to those levels through the free play option, you can even complete all levels using free play so you don’t have to start over if you die to many times. Overall the achievements found in Rocket Knight are pretty hard.
The Achievement List is:
Elhorn Tourist – 30 – Completed all stages
Zephyrus Saviour – 35 – Completed Arcade Mode on Normal
Devotindos Defiler – 25 – Completed Arcade Mode on Hard in a Single Playthrough
Impatient Hero – 20 – Completed all stages below par time
Spark Dog Millionaire – 15 – Completed Arcade Mode scoring 1,000,000 or more
Redoubtable Runner – 15 – Completed Arcade Mode on Hard within 60 minutes
Ferocious Flier – 10 – Completed 1.2 having defeated all enemies
Wolf Connoisseur – 10 – Completed 2.1 having collected all pickups
Nimble Knight – 10 – Completed 3.2 without taking damage
Burst Friends – 5 – Defeat 5 enemies in a single Rocket Burst or Drill attack
Woodland Bouncer – 5 – Defeat 3 enemies with a single reflected projectile
Overview
This Rocket Knight reboot is a welcomed addition to the Sparkster series that fans crave. The game is short but with 3 different difficulty modes has some replay value. Overall the game is a welcoming experience to any fan. The game is small and can be beat in under an hour, there is fun within the game, even if it starts out pretty easy, the last 4 levels are brutal even on the normal difficulty.
I give Rocket Knight
Pros
Return as Sparkster in this new Rocket Knight game
Thanks to the koopas having the ability to ignore friction as they hurtle across the screen bouncing off everything they come by, they will in turn never stop moving. CollegeHumor has looked has examined this fact and has shown us how cruel we have been to those poor koopas. Check out the video below and witness the horror you has set into motion. Stand with me now brothers and sisters and take a step back to stop those shells from bouncing. Stop the shells and save every koopas’ sanity!
Can’t get enough Alan Wake? oh… wait… my bad. Wish you could even play Alan Wake? Well good news for UK readers, you get to play the thriller tomorrow. US readers have to wait until the 18th.
Either way, the first batch of DLC is dated for July 27th, or 28th. The exact date is kinda blurry due to contradicting Microsoft dates, but my bet is the 27th since it is a Tuesday.
The DLC will not cost you anything, as long as you buy Alan Wake new. An included token will net you the DLC for free. For those of you who plan to rent or buy used, there is no set price on this DLC yet.
On another note, if you play the special edition disc on your xbox you gain an avatar award. So for all of you who want the avatar award, best start getting that last bit of money of your and put it towards the special edition.
Bioware has released new information about a brand new DLC pack named Overlord. Priced at 560 MSP/bioware points depending on the console purchased for, players of ME2 will be in for a ton of new features and new storyline featuring a violent AI. One thing however is that there will be no inclusion of new party members which is unfortunate.
Full information and story from Bioware’s website below:
When sent to investigate a Cerberus research base that’s mysteriously gone silent, Shepard arrives to find Geth overrunning the base. The sole survivor, Chief Scientist Archer, paints a dire picture: an experiment to fuse a human volunteer with a virtual intelligence created a dangerous hybrid “VI overlord”. The rampaging VI has already attacked three other Cerberus bases, controlling any technology it finds in an attempt to break free–and unleashing Geth across the planet. Unless Shepard can infiltrate the VI’s fortress and shut it down, this homicidal intelligence will beam itself-off planet and wreak havoc on other systems. The action unfolds over five new level areas, with two new achievements.
One small notice, whatever happened to the Cerberus network? It was said that there would be a relatively continuous release of content available for the network. However rather than there being the addition of new content, we are seeing priced content that costs money for both those who have the network and don’t have the network. I wonder what will happen down the line, if they will ever release more for the network or if it was simply a gimmick to purchase the title as new.
