The Halo: Reach beta has received the invasion mode today. This mode pits a team of elites against a team of spartans. This mode also incorporates vehicles as the game moves on. Vehicles include ghosts, warthogs, tanks and wrathes.
You can either play the normal invasion mode, or slayer invasion which has all the tiers like invasion but the game ends when a team hits 100 kills. This fun mode also incorporates squads. In a sense, each team of 6 is again broken down to teams of 2. the 3 squads all kill towards their teams total kill count, but the squad members can spawn next to their other squad member if they are not in combat. This squad spawning lets you jump into battle again more quickly.
My only complaint is that I enjoy playing as the elites way more then the spartans, give me the sword and the dodge armor ability and I’m pretty much unstoppable. The only thing that usually stops me is an enemy tank.
I just have one last thing to say. “TO THE MOTHERSHIP!” Yeah, that was the last one. Get hopping!

Earlier today during an investors briefing in Japan, Nintendo CEO Satoru Iwata announced Wii Party, the follow up title to Wii Sports, Wii Play and Wii Music.
An English transcript of the briefing was made available online.
“Nintendo has not launched a marquee party game since Mario Party 8, launched in summer 2007. However, since Wii is usually being played by several people at once and the global sales of Mario Party have reached 7.6 million units, a party title has great potential. [Wii Party] is one of the titles which, we hope, will play an important role for this fiscal year.”
As the name implies, this will be a party game which will allow players to use their Mii (fact of the day: Over 160 million Miis have been created throughout the world, according to Iwata) and will include “marquee” (as Nintendo called it) games such as bingo, roulette and dice, which will be playable with up to four players.
There also appears to be multiple party modes. For example, “Living Party” will consist of games that are playable with two or more players and “Pair Party” games will be available for two players only.
There was no mention of online capabilities. The title should release sometime this year.

If you happen to live in the San Francisco Bay area and are a fan of Haruhi Suzumiya then you are in for some great news. Bandai Entertainment, Crunchyroll, and Yen Press are teaming up to premiere The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya on May 21st. The premiere will take place at Viz Cinema which is in San Francisco, CA.
According to Japanator after the movie, guests will be treated to a raffle of both Manga and Novel giveaways from Yen Press, and Crunchyroll will be giving away premium memberships to their anime streaming website.
Not only that but Cristina Vee will be performing a few songs both in English and in Japanese from the various Haruhi Suzumiya series and movies for movie goers, as well as autographing posters which she will be giving away.
After the debacle of The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya‘s handling of the endless eight storyline, it is clear to see that fans of the anime are extremely die hard and willing to continue supporting the SOS Brigade.
For those that also don’t know, Endless Eight was a controversial animation choice, where a total of eight episodes of anime were produced using literally the exact same dialogue, and only minor adjustments in perspective and clothing. The storyline was the exact same, as time was being repeated continuously until a small non-consequential bit was changed. The story itself was only a small 30 pages in the manga, but spanned a total of 8 episodes. The usual running for new episodes is 13. This means that the studio producing the anime had literally wasted over half a season showing the same episode over and over again. The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya however, is the most anticipated storyline of the entire series.
The more fantastical version of Dynstasy Warriors is back for its second game, and has released a few screen shots to go along with it. Those of you may remember the first iteration of the game, which was one of the first titles to actually be released on the 360, as being a bit of a let down compared to other pure hack n slash games of the time. However Konami is hoping to remedy this and from the screenshots the graphics at least have taken a nice upswing.
Not too sure what to say about this one. Overall the first game wasn’t exactly stellar but from these few screenshots it already looks like this will be a better iteration. Hopefully with the fantasy element it’ll also put a nice little touch on the gameplay.
Ninety-Nine Nights 2 is set for release in Japan on July 22nd, though the American release date has not yet been announced the title is expected to come out to the rest of the world.
