New Trailer for Donkey Kong Country Returns- Featuring Rambi!

It wouldn’t be a true Donkey Kong Country title without Donkey Kong and Diddy for sure but a new trailer reveals one of the most memorable animals in the series that will be making his comeback in Donkey Kong Country Returns, Rambi The Rhino. Rambi was always known for assisting Donkey Kong and Diddy get through some of the toughest of areas, charging through enemies and walls, even at times discovering hidden areas. In the latest trailer from Nintendo, Rambi is featured and the first announced returning “animal buddy” that the duo will be able to ride in the game at certain areas to plow through thorns and hoards of enemies in just seconds. By the look of the trailer, he doesn’t miss a beat either. My hope now is to see Expresso the Ostrich, Winky the Frog, and all the others from the first title will be showing up soon in some new trailers.

You can check out the new trailer posted below and we will keep you updated as soon as we hear any more news on Donkey Kong Country Returns which hits the Wii in November.

Cos Play Characters at Tokyo Game Show 2010

The public days at Tokyo Game Show is famous for its Cos Play Characters. (Saturday & Sunday) Some of the most dedicated fans come dressed as their favourite anime and video game characters.  Let me tell you it’s something you have to experience at least once in your life.  The amount of time and effort that some of these fans go through is totally amazing.  This year I must say was  one of the best I’ve ever seen.  My Personal favourite was E.Honda and Ryu from Capcom’s Street Fighter series.  Initially E.Honda was walking around taking pictures of other Cos Play characters.  Approaching the big SUMO, I asked him to pose for a photo, he agreed and proceeded to take off his robe, at that time Ryu had made his way through the crowd and I asked him to pose with E.Honda.  What happened next was a pure brilliance  E.Honda and Ryu created some fantastic posses and by doing so crowds of fans and photographers mobbed the two cos players taking photos and cheering.

Armor to go with your helmets from Halo: Reach available now

I’m sure that anyone who has played Halo: Reach already maybe has unlocked a few of Noble Team’s helmets to go on your avatar.  But doesn’t that helmet look a bit out of place?  Well not anymore it won’t.  Too bad though that the only way to get the matching armor for your avatar character will require that you spend a bit of money on it in the way of MSP.  Too bad they weren’t extra Waypoint awards or even Halo: Reach multiplayer rank awards huh?

First though we have the leader of Noble Team, Noble One: Carter’s armor: male , female
Secondly we have the tech specialist of Noble Team, Noble Two: Kat’s armor: male , female
Then we have the sniper Noble Three: Jun’s Armor:male , female
The tough and grizzled fighter of the team; Noble Four: Emile’s Armor:male , female
And last but definitely not the least we have the gatling gun carrying Noble Five: Jorge’s Armor:male , female

All of these armors will cost 400 MSP ($5). This isn’t too bad considering if you are a major fan of a certain Noble Six member then you can make your own avatar appear as them. Though it’s also interesting their are both male and female suits for everyone on the team, but does keep the options open for everyone.

Dissidia 012 [duodecim] Final Fantasy will be getting a western release

Square Enix’s newest Final Fantasy game will be released outside of Japan after all. And not just that but it will be seeing a complete worldwide release next year in 2011. The name may have not changed at all, and will still be called Dissidia 012[duodecim] Final Fantasy, which is the sequel to the previous Dissidia game. There is a bit of extra information as to why the 12 was added however.

The Duodecim means 12 in Latin and refers to this being the twelfth battle between the Chaos and Cosmos. Both good and evil characters will join together and fight one another in battle. Not only that but three new characters have already been confirmed; Lightning, Kain, and Tifa.

Beyond the three already announced characters, players will be able to experience both the Chaos and the Cosmos storyline and experience many new additions to the series which you can see below:

  • Combining all-out brawling alongside RPG-style character development and customization, the creators of the FINAL FANTASY and KINGDOM HEARTS series take fighting gameplay to another level.
  • New Assist Mode – Choose your own ‘Assist’ character to give you back-up in battle
  • Battle with exciting new characters including Kain (FINAL FANTASY IV) and Lightning (FINAL FANTASY XIII)
  • New Chaos storyline and story missions to battle through
  • Look out for more surprise new features and characters to be revealed in the coming months

Worms Battle Islands Trailer Surfaces

Here’s a new trailer for Worms: Battle Island, THQ’s new strategy game that’s set to hit the Wii in November.

Unlike THQ’s previous Wii effort, Worms: A Space Oddity, this game will feature online multiplayer. That’s right, up to 8 players over Nintendo Wi-fi, which should make for some good times. It will also feature a bulky single-player quest with 30 missions and 30 puzzle challenges to work your way through. Additionally, there will be something called War Room, which presents you with the option to customise weapons.

Although it was originally announced as a WiiWare title, it has now been confirmed as a full retail release. Check it out below!

Zombies invade Australia to play Dead Rising 2 !!

Night-Of-The-Living-Dead-Rising-2-Event-Sydney-01
What Would CHUCK Do ?? ..... Easy ..... SMASH EVERYTHING !! 😉

It was only a matter of time before the walking dead reached the sunny shores of Australia and this evening the Zombies arrived in typical horde fashion, but not to eat our brains but to watch an advanced preview of Resident Evil : Afterlife in 3D VMAX and then to play the soon to be released Zombie masterpiece Dead Rising 2.

The event took place in Sydney at Bondi (Westfield Shopping Centre) and was hosted by the Capcom’s partner THQ Australia.  The THQ guys made sure everyone had a great night and the Zombies were fed the right amount of alcohol and Dead Rising 2 so they wouldn’t turn on the regular humans mingling amongst them.

A whole lot of prizes were given away, some lucky people walked away with PS3 Consoles and also copies of Dead Rising 2.  The rest of us picked up some cool Resident Evil goodies (Chris Redfield, Sheva and Executioner action figures) to coincide with the Resident Evil : Afterlife movie.

MasterAbbott and Deathdude222 managed to pull off some cool Zombie shots .. Don’t ask us how but seems like the Zombies were very happy to co-operate and not eat our brains this evening.  (I think it was because they were able to get their decaying hands on Dead Rising 2)  .. Note .. Next time you see a Zombie, let them play Dead Rising 2 .. If they stop and play then you’re cool.  If they don’t then run for the hills !!

Special thanks once again to the THQ guys for organizing this great event.  The Capsule Computers crew had a fantastic time.  Resident Evil AFTERLIFE was surprisingly good and the hands on time with Dead Rising 2 was totally awesome !! Make sure you pre-order your copy now if you haven’t already done so.
