Six brand new screenshots have been revealed for the inbound LEGO title, LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean: The Video Game. The new images are from Pelegosto and Dutchman Key, two levels that players will be able to interact with which re-create key moments from Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest. You will probably recognise some of the memorable scenes re-lived in LEGO from the screens, such as when Jack Sparrow – or should I say Captain Jack Sparrow – is covered in face paint.
You will also be able to play through levels from the new movie, Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides too, as well as all the other levels onwards from the game’s multi-platform release on 12th May 2011. Take a look at the latest screens below:
Looks like videogames have enough pull now to pull in star actresses because Bethesda has just announced that Lucy Lawless will be voicing the character of Seraphine in their upcoming dungeon crawler Hunted: The Demon’s Forge. Fans of the Xena: Warrior Princess series and Spartacus: Gods of the Arena should instantly be able to recognize the name due to her playing a major role in both series.
Lucy Lawless’s character Seraphine will be playing an ex-adventurer who has become a temptress now. With the influence of the Demon Forge she becomes a spirit guide that brings Caddoc and E’lara deep into the dark and twisted depths of the world by promising them great riches. Hunted: The Demon’s Forge will be coming out on June 1st for the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC so you will know just how and when you can enter the intense dungeons of The Demon’s Forge.

37,989 years is a pretty long time to wait to experience the next chapter in the Dawn of War series. I mean, you might even be dead by then! So don’t be a sucker! THQ has announced that the second expansion pack for Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War II has been released, titled Retribution.
As each expansion is known to do, Retribution adds a new race to the roster; the Imperial Guard will now be playable in both single and multiplayer modes, as well as adding new multiplayer maps, super-heavy units, and a new Last Stand hero and map. In addition, extra units will be available for the existing races, the Space Marines, Orks, Eldar, Chaos and Tyranids. There are also downloadable packs for each race, granting additional abilities and wargear, at a price of $1.49US each or $7.49 for all six.
The expansion marks several firsts for the series; the single-player campaign is now playable with any race, rather than telling the story only from the Space Marines’ point of view. Also, THQ have made the switch from the Games for Windows Live platform to Valve’s unstoppable Steam system. As a result, Retribution is a stand-alone title, meaning it does not require the original Dawn of War II or its first expansion, Chaos Rising, to play. Unfortunately, it also means that players cannot carry over characters and campaigns from the previous games.
Details on the campaign story are slim, but enticing. Set ten years after the events of Chaos Rising, Sub-Sector Aurelia has been a constant warzone. As the fighting intensifies, players are given the opportunity to choose a race, and consequently determine the fate of the sector.
So don’t risk not being alive in another 38 millennia to experience it firsthand – get a copy now.
Twisted Pixel has developed several creative titles. ‘Splosion Man and The Maw are just a few of their games that have been hits on the Xbox Live Arcade Marketplace. Now, they are back at it with ‘The Gunstringer.’ This original IP is set to be released on the Xbox 360 Kinect. It was also recently shown off at the Microsoft Showcase. While there, a new trailer and screenshots were taken of the game. Take a gander at them below. They will also answer some of your questions about how the gameplay and movement will work.
‘The Gunstringer’ tells the story of a “skeleton cowboy marionette seeking vengeance on his old posse who shot him in the back and left him for dead.” They say that this game will utilize the most advanced use of Kinect aiming controls. This may be the game that really gets us excited for the Kinect.
THQ and Kaos Studios today have now released a brand new live action trailer for the upcoming highly anticipated first person shooter
‘Homefront’. Similar to “Salt Lake City Bombing” teaser which THQ and Kaos Studios previously released in February, this new trailer mixes in both live action footage (which is pretty damn good) with in-game footage and gameplay that really show cases the potential that this game has to offer, and hands down the game looks pretty sweet.
With this being the second horror themed game coming out in June it certainly seems like June will be the month for fans of scary games. EA has announced today at the GDC that Shadows of the Damned would be released on June 7th, one week before Alice: Madness Returns. This news comes despite the fact that there has been only a small amount of information released about the game since it was announced last year.
Being developed by a company called Grasshopper Manufacture, players will step into the motorcycle boots of Garcia, a demon hunter. Garcia is on the hunt for his lost love who was kidnapped from him by the same demons that he is hunting down. The developers over at Two Tribes received their 3DS dev kits a few months ago, they want fans to pitch some ideas, and anything is possible they say. If you’re a budding game designer, this looks like a good chance to flex your talent towards the open door.
The 3DS was just released in Japan and kicked off with a bang, selling around 400.000 units on it’s release. In a few months, a download service will be added for 3DS players to purchase new games from. Since Two Tribes games are digital distribution only, the prospective game will be through this service.
Two Tribes are uncertain of what the audience for Nintendo’s 3DS will be like, so they’re adopting an approach of experimentation, which is always good for the industry. The download service may also end up being a good incentive for purchase if it pushes out the goods for the new platform. The details about what will happen if they pick you idea are sparse, but I guess you’ll just have to submit an awesome idea to find out!
As a result of Two Tribes brave experiment, they’ve posted the question on their site “What should we make for 3DS?” There’s already alot of comments for suggestions, you can check it out on their blog here and post your idea. If there isn’t a suggestion about a Charlie Sheen game already, I’m sure there will be soon.

It seems that the best time to release a horror game is going to be when it is mostly sunny, outside at least in the United States. EA has announced that they will be releasing Alice: Madness Returns on June 14th this year for the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC. This game is the sequel to the previous re-telling of Alice in Wonderland from American McGee which was called American McGee’s Alice.
Players will step into the role of Alice after she returns to the twisted ruins of Wonderland, both mentally unstable and seeking an answer to what really happened to her parents in the real world. Players will be able to use the Vorpal Blade, Teapot Cannon and Hobby Horse to name a few of the weapons Alice will have at her disposal to stop the horrors of Wonderland.
