Dropping the price of two of their best sellers on the iOS App Store from now until Monday, August 1st. If you head there now you can pick up Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars (iPhone/iPad) for $2.99 down from $9.99 and Beaterator for $.99 down from $2.99. If you don’t know, GTA: Chinatown Wars is a complete GTA experience in 3D rendered from an isometric perspective. It’s a fantastic game, and we here at Capsule absolutely loved it. Beaterator (iPhone) is developed with Rockstar and music producer Timbaland and is a simple to use yet extremely deep music creation app.

Konami has announced the release date for Pro Evo 2012 on Playstation 3, Xbox 360, and PC today. The latest football simulator in the franchise will be released in the Americas on September 27, and in Europe and Oceania on October 14.
PES 2012 is packed with plenty of features and improvements from its 2011 counterpart. The AI and controls are improved, and Konami has introduced a new Teammate Control system (read more about that here) which allows the user to control two players at once. There will also be improvements to defense and controls, and enhanced animation – including managers which can be seen wandering on the sidelines.
Unfortunately, Konami still hasn’t confirmed a release date for the title on Nintendo Wii, PSP, and PS2, however they are saying this release date will be decided shortly.

So we have already seen parts of Chicago in Need for Speed’s The Run, Death from Above trailer at E3, which looked awesome, and the guys at EA are back with more juicy footage this time showcasing the strip from San Francisco to New York. Entitled Run to the Hills, the trailer highlights many of the environments playes will get to compete in as well as what is required to triumph and keep progressing through the race. Starting in Nevada in the middle of the pack, players have to battle through the desert and challenging ever-changing terrain to claim glory. Gesundheit is the latest game to hit iPhones, iPads and iPod Touches from Konami Digital Entertainment, Inc. Based on an original concept by film & TV animator Matt Hammill, Gesundheit is a story about a pig with allergies that is told through incredible hand-drawn animations, a unique original soundtrack as well as what looks to be some highly innovative gameplay. The result of a partnership between Konami and independent games studio Revolution Concepts, Gesundheit looks to be a welcomed addition to the App Store and iOS devices. Guide the curly tailed hero across 40 unique levels while he faces off against whacky monsters, while at the same time attempting to keep his allergies under control. Gesundheit is available on the App Store for only $0.99 for iPhone/iPod Touch and $1.99 for iPad.
For the tech-savvy canines who love a social life, Radical iDeas Group have released a new social networking App for iPhones: Barkin’ Buddy. Okay, so it’s obviously not designed to be used by the dogs themselves. I mean, how would they enter their own details? They have paws! Barkin’ Buddy is more for pet owners and pet lovers. It is a relationship management App that is set to improve the dogs social life, allowing for pet owners to create profiles for their dogs, upload photos of their dogs, notify buddies when they are walking their dog, and plan out social activities for their dog to play with others. Barkin’ Buddy is out now in the Apple App Store (Aus/US) for just $1.99.

Well think again and rejoice, as EA have announced a brand new Treasure Hunt mode for Need for Speed World, their acclaimed Play4free online PC racing game. Explore the vastness of the NFSW environments such as Palmont and Rockport, searching for 15 different treasure items, earning players valuable rep points and in game cash rewards. And just to make thngs more interesting the items locations within the various levels will be reset daily adding almost unlimited replay value to the mode.

The cool dudes over at Xbox Australia have confirmed and we are ready for deployment for 8pm to 12pm AUS EST on Friday 29th July. Remember, this is Australian Eastern Daylight Savings Time. Put this date in your diaries and also make sure you check the XBOX Community Dashboard (AU and NZ Dashboards only) for more details (shown below)

What we are thinking of doing is hosting some Private matches and we can change things around so we can get as many of the community in to play with us. Okay all of you World of Warcraft junkies, the time hath come to get serious. Blizzard has recently issued a website to continually release updates for the coming BlizzCon in October. The heart and soul of this gathering is to join in celebration of each universe Blizzard has created – Warcraft, Starcraft, and Diablo. The attendees are able to engage in several activities: hands-on play, discussion panels, tournament game play, contests, commemorative merchandise, and more surprises.
Event Availability
The downside about being a highly anticipated event is the likeliness of being sold out. Fortunately, Blizzard has offered a virtual ticket to allow viewers at the home the opportunity to join in the jubilation of its many events. With a virtual ticket, the viewer will be able to access BlizzCon live in high-definition. This grand occasion will be the host of several events simultaneously through the website. Why not see these events at the same time? That’s what the All-Panel-Access allows you to do.
With four different stages being recorded live, you will be guaranteed to see more action than an actual attendee. Each of the four panels will have a unique purpose during the event. For instance, the main stage will be the foundation for ceremonies, contests, and discussions. The panel stage will deal more directly with developer discussion and Q/A sessions. Starcraft II tournament games will be held strictly at the RTS stage, and World of Warcraft will have its own stage as well. Did I mention that you could also leave for that bathroom break? That’s right! If you thought you missed something important, chances are you did. Don’t you fret – they have instant replay.

Thinking as a consumer of Blizzard games, I wonder what this website has to offer me. The live stream option seems reasonable for those who are purchasing a virtual ticket. But information about release dates and upcoming expansions is practically invaluable. If a beta for Diablo 3 is going to be released prior to BlizzCon, you bet people are going to be talking about it. In fact the site has its very own forums section where Blizzard consumers may interact with one another. A unique feature about the forums is that you may choose an in-game profile to serve as your identity. However, you may only post in the forums if you have an active Starcraft II or World of Warcraft account.
