Gabrielle’s Ghostly Groove 3D goes golden

It was quietly announced a few weeks ago that Gabrielle’s Ghostly Groove 3D was delayed to an unknown time. Well that delay is nearly over as Natsume Inc. revealed that Gabrielle’s Ghostly Groove 3D has gone golden. This more or less means that the game is officially complete and ready to be shipped to stores in North America. Of course this won’t happen until the game’s official release date on October 4th.

Gabrielle’s Ghost Groove 3D will be a rhythm based adventure title where players will help a young girl named Gabrielle find her soul after she lost it by sneezing. Hiro Maekawa, President and CEO of Natsume says that the title is “a family-friendly rhythm adventure game loaded with spectacular dance moves, cute, quirky characters, and a fun-filled story!”

Harvest Moon: The Tale of Two Towns 3DS version arriving early October

While the Nintendo DS version of Harvest Moon: The Tale of Two Towns will be released next week on September 20th, the 3DS version of the game won’t be showing up on store shelves alongside it. A mild delay was announced for the 3DS version of Two Towns a few weeks ago and no new release date was given at that time.

Well it seems that the delay was quite small, as Natsume has revealed on their twitter that the 3DS version of Harvest Moon: The Tale of Two Towns will indeed be released in early October. While Natsume hasn’t officially given a date, both game rental service GameFly and online retailer Amazon both list a release date of October 11th for the title.

Team Ninja Unmask Pre-TGS Event Tokyo 02

Team Ninja hosted a Pre-TGS Event in Shibuya Tokyo this evening.  The guests in attendance were shown the latest build of Ninja Gaiden 3 and also got to see a sneak peak at Dead Or Alive 5 which looked AMAZING.  Quite a few of the Tecmo KOEI staff were in attendance along with President & CEO of Tecmo KOEI Mr Yoichi Erikawa <Photo shown above>

The Team Ninja team were also roaming the floor more than happy to answer any questions the guests had regarding Ninja Gaiden 3 and Dead Or Alive 5.  The event was held that stunning Legato Restaurant in Shibuya, check out one of the photos in the gallery below to see the amazing view we had of Shibuya.  The event was fantastic, the Tecmo KOEI staff were super great, the food and drinks kept on coming all night long.

Check out the pics below (appologies for the quality of some of the pictures, the lighting wasn’t the best)

Ace Combat: Assault Horizon demo available now; helicopter trailer released

One of Namco Bandai’s biggest franchises out in the West is the Ace Combat franchise. Well fans of that series will be glad to know that they won’t have to wait until the release date to play the game. Instead they can go right onto their PlayStation 3 or Xbox 360 and download the demo that is now available.

The demo will give players access to two missions. One mission will involve fighter jets and dog fights but the other one will have the player taking control of a helicopter sent out on a rescue mission. Also released today was a ten and a half minute video showing off one of the helicopter missions in the game. You can catch the video below and find the demo on the console of your choice.

Halo Anniversary will contain Headlong map remade as Breakneck

While Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary may be a HD remake of the original Halo title, there is going to be a Halo 2 map in the multiplayer section of the game. Anyone who spent a decent amount of time online in Halo 2 should know roughly what the Headlong map looks like. Well if you do then you should find the map above a little bit familiar because that map is being remade and re-titled.

Now called the Breakneck map, 343 Industries has made some minor layout changes and extensive graphical upgrades to the level. There is now turret and cover panels up where the teleporter in Blue Base was and the Red base has lost a bit of ceiling and an Engineering Hallway extended. If these changes don’t mean much to you don’t worry, just enjoy the new multiplayer levels!

Fallout: New Vegas’ Lonesome Road receives a trailer

With the final piece of DLC for Fallout: New Vegas being released next week, Bethesda has released quite an enticing trailer for the content. The Lonesome Road DLC trailer released today can be seen below and I must say, the voice of Ulysses, the man who initially turned down the job of delivering the Platinum Chip which inevitably set the Courier down the path to save, destroy or control the Mojave Wasteland.

Ulysses calls for the Courier to travel to the Divide where he will answer his questions and see the world that he lives in laid bare. No matter how many guns you bring, or friends you may have made in the wastes, the last road must be traveled alone. The Lonesome Road DLC will be available next week on September 20th for 800 MSP or $9.99 on the Xbox 360, PC and PlayStation 3.

PixelJunk Lifelike becomes PixelJunk 4AM

It seems that the game which was once known as PixelJunk Lifelike is now going to be called PixelJunk 4AM. The change in the name is supposedly due tot he feeling that one gets around 4AM. Because whenever you are in a club, the music drifts from reality, and outside of clubs 4AM feels like the night is almost over and dawn is rising.

While this sounds a bit strange, well it is. But the PlayStation Move certainly needs some new and interesting things and PixelJunk 4AM seems like that will be exactly that. Players will be able to stream their own music live onto the PlayStation Network so they can broadcast their own online performances. Expect to see a lot of bad rave dancing and music. Either way check out the trailer below which was released for the game for Tokyo Game Show.

Max Payne 3’s first trailer hits the streets of São Paulo

As promised in past announcements, Rockstar Games has released the first trailer for Max Payne 3. As one would expect with Rockstar, the trailer looks absolutely amazing, especially if you consider that roughly everything shown below was taken from in-game footage.

Max has moved to Brazil in an effort to escape from his traumatic past and he is working as private security for a family in São Paulo, Brazil. When a violent and ruthless gang target the family he is meant to protect, Max must leave his old life behind, apparently shave his head and take them on. MOre information will be coming in the next few months as Max Payne 3 is currently set to be released in March of 2012 on the PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 platforms.

Ninja Gaiden 3 Gameplay and Online Details Revealed TGS2011

As mentioned in our previous article / trailer for Ninja Gaiden entitled “Consequence” Team Ninja’s Yosuke Hayashi and his Team Ninja crew provided everyone at the Team Ninja Unmask Pre-Event with a gameplay presenation to an updated build of Ninja Gaiden 3 that we got to play at this years E3 (read article here).

Hiyashi-san explained there are now 3 modes available in the game.  Hero (EASY MODE) this pretty much does all the hard work for you such as auto evading and auto guarding and making your life a whole lot easier when taking down enemies.  This mode is best used if you want to experience the Ryu’s Story without having to throw your controller up against the wall.

Then there’s Normal mode, which I’d suggest everyone start off on as its not that hard and will give you a good run for your money.  But if you think you have what it takes to be a hardcore Ninja you can jump right in and try everyone’s favourite HARD mode entitled “Ninja” play style – The two videos below show both HARD and NORMAL mode.  Now the bear in mind the Team Ninja crew were all in attendance tonight and one of them took up the challenge and demo’d HARD MODE for us.  Watch and see how hard it is even for a seasoned vetran of the game that probably plays this all day long.

Now after failing twice they switched it to NORMAL mode showing us that Team Ninja have stayed true to the core roots of Ninja Gaiden series making sure that the hardcore fans of the series will get a true high quality and tough gameplay experience if they do decide to play the game on NINJA mode.  With the video gameplay shown below you can see the new Consequence feature in the game and also at the end of the demo a red firey dragon power up which wasn’t explained but looked awesome.  After the presentation a very brief run down on Online Multiplayer was explained.  Giving players the option to play cooperatively or competitively. New challenges, characters and missions await those who choose to join the Shadows on the World online! Players get to take on other Ninja’s and also regular enemies in different modes that would then allow them the honor to take on Ryu Hayabusa himself.  Details were very minimal so expect a whole lot more details in the weeks ahead. For now enjoy both the videos and the screenshots from the game.

Bodycount developer Guildford Studio to be shut down by Codemasters

0

The developers behind the recently released generic first person shooter Bodycount have received bad news today. Per UK law, the company and its 66 employees have been informed today about the 30 day consultation shut down period, meaning that Codemasters is going to be shutting down the studio. Bodycount, the game developed by Guildford Studio received very poor ratings across the board and barely placed on sales charts the week of release.

In a statement to Eurogamer, a Codemasters’ spokesperson stated “”As we look to take greater leadership in the racing category, Codemasters is proposing a studio structure that adds resource and strengthens our best-in-class racing teams.” He went on to say that anyone who is being fired at the moment should apply for a position at Codemasters’ Warwickshire HQ which works on games such as Dirt and Grid or the Birmingham Studio that is working on a new racing franchise.
