Those of you who have been keeping up with the game may remember that a 3DS version is being developed as well, however at this time that version of the title only has a release window of “later this year.”
Now Unchained Blades follows the story of a man named Fang, who just happens to be a dragon that has lost all of his powers. As players follow Fang’s journey they will encounter a number of allies including mystical beings such as a medusa priestess, a phoenix maiden and more. In some unfortunate news, Siren Visual announced, along with their acquisition of Black Rock Shooter, that they will be delaying their release of the anime series UN-GO.
Previously they announced that they would be releasing UN-GO on the 23rd of August, 2012, that release is now delayed for an indeterminable amount of time. Siren Visual’s representative in charge of their official facebook page suggested that the series may be released in October instead, but could not give a solid confirmation of that.
The reasoning for this delay is the fact that Siren Visual are acquiring an English dub for the release, which was originally scheduled to be simply a sub-only release for the company. They have chosen to delay the release in order to be able to provide a more complete release of the series, due to the uptake of previous sub-only releases not being on par with their expectations.
We will be sure to keep you up to date with Siren Visual’s release of UN-GO and get back to you once we have a solid release date for the title. Be sure to let us know what you think of this delay in the comments section below.
A leak on the Xbox Live Marketplace earlier was picked up by several internet gaming communities and websites, a listing revealing a HD port for the Sega Dreamcast classic , Sonic Adventure 2. Sonic Adventure 2 last saw a port on the Nintendo Gamecube by the name of Sonic Adventure 2 Battle.
In the image above you can read some details of the release, further to this was a release date of 3 October 2012. Sega has recently been releasing some of their Dreamcast library on the Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network, which included Sonic Adventure DX.
A HD port of Sonic Adventure 2 shouldn’t be too surprising to anyone, but it has yet to be confirmed by Sega. That said, it will be awesome to have one of the best 3D Sonic releases as a digital title.

Earlier today Siren Visual sent shock waves across the Australasian Anime Fandom when they announced that they have acquired the license for the critically acclaimed Black Rock Shooter anime series.
The announcement was made through the company’s official facebook page with a few details given on the nature of how and when they shall release the Black Rock Shooter series. They plan to release the series in September on DVD, with pre-orders for the release now available. It is unknown whether they will also release the series on Blu-Ray but one could imagine that it’s highly likely considering that is was released on both formats in Japan. So far it is also unknown whether it will be a sub-only release or if it will feature an English dub.
The series wrapped up airing in Japan earlier this year, in which it aired in the popular late-night anime slot ‘noitaminA’. What do you think of Black Rock Shooter being licensed by Siren Visual for distribution? Let us know in the comments section below.
The rumour mill is rolling again today, this time for the Medaka Box anime series, which is set to wrap up in the next few weeks. Crunchyroll posted an interesting article earlier today in which they hint at a second season for Medaka Box coming in Fall 2012, with the series taking a break through Summer 2012.
Crunchyroll of course streams the series and as such their words hold more weight in this rumour. Though at the end of the day this still remains a rumour, which even Crunchyroll themselves acknowledge in their article.
Personally I believe this is a series that needs a second season. The manga upon which it is based is miles ahead of where the anime is up to and there is a lot of plot that will be left hanging with the end of this first season. So I for one hope that a second season does come to fruition because there is really a lot more that this series has to offer than what it’s first season has shown us. What do you think? It’s that hefty task that’s depicted in the Darksiders II live-action trailer, starring James Cosmo of Game of Thrones fame (Jeor Mormont, Lord Commander of the Night’s Watch, and a constant reminder of that old adage, “Winter is coming”). In it, he plays a priest giving his last sermon before the end.
Or is it the end?
Darksiders II is an action/adventure game in the vein of Zelda and God of War, and will feature a massive world full of hub-towns, side quests, and loot, as well as providing plenty of RPG-esque customization for the game’s protagonist, Death. The story of Death’s redemptive quest will occur parallel to the event in the first Darksiders.
To check out an extended version of the trailer, you’re going to have to like the DarksidersFacebook page. Darksiders II releases for Xbox 360, Playstation 3, and PC in August 2012, with a Wii U version to come later.
