Keldeo Event Coming to Pokemon Black and White

It’s yet again time for another Pokemon event, and this one is to get the legendary Keldeo. Beginning September 15th, players can download Keldeo at participating EB Games/Gamestop and Target locations to their copies of Pokemon Black & White. This particular Keldeo will also be able to be transferred into Pokémon Black Version 2 or Pokémon White Version 2, where it will be able to change into a new form and learn a new technique.

Check out the details for Keldeo below, and you can find a link of participating locations here.

Because the Colt Pokémon cannot be found during normal gameplay, this distribution is the only way Pokémon players can receive it at this time. During the distribution period, 15th September through 10th October, Pokémon fans can bring their handheld console from the Nintendo DS® or Nintendo 3DS™ family of systems and a copy of Pokémon Black Version or Pokémon White Version to selected EB Games and Target stores and receive a Keldeo that knows Aqua Jet, Leer, Double Kick, and BubbleBeam. As a Fighting- and Water-type Pokémon, Keldeo excels at moves that are super effective against seven different Pokémon types: Normal, Fire, Ice, Ground, Rock, Dark, and Steel.

Powerful in its own right, when transferred into Pokémon Black Version 2 or Pokémon White Version 2, Keldeo can learn its signature move, Secret Sword, and transform into Resolute Form, a new look that features a more prominent horn on its head. Secret Sword is a Fighting-type move, well suited to Keldeo’s high Special Attack stat. Because Keldeo can learn this move from the very first stages of Pokémon Black Version 2 or Pokémon White Version 2, it will be a powerful ally as you continue your adventure.

Nintendo Power Shutting down this December

It’s always a sad day when a major magazine closes, but this time things are even more somber as the long running publication Nintendo Power will be ending in December. Nintendo announced the news earlier today via their Facebook page, and gave a brief statement.

We can confirm that the December issue of Nintendo Power will be its last. To celebrate Nintendo Power’s long history, please share a memory or favorite story. For Nintendo Power subscription inquiries, please visit nintendopower.com/customerservice.

Some could say that the quality of the magazine has been a bit on the decline in recent years, but we all know that the real reason for the end has to do with the digital revolution. We all seen it coming, but it’s still a sad thought that the next generation of gamers won’t get that joy of Mario coming to their mailbox each month.

Mugen Souls delayed a month in North America

NIS America revealed some unfortunate news today for fans of their upcoming Mugen Souls title. It seems that Chou-Chou is going to have at least another month to rehearse her world conquest in North America, because the title has been delayed for one month in that region.

Due to “schedule adjustments” Mugen Souls will now be released in North America on October 16th instead of September 18th. This means that those of you in Europe will actually be getting the title first, as the release for your region is still coming on September 28th. While this delay is unfortunate, those interested in learning a bit more about some of what Mugen Souls will have to offer can check out our E3 preview of the game here.

“It marks the first time a new composer has taken the reins for the iconic series’ musical score since the launch of the original “Halo” game more than a decade ago.”

Each Halo 4 Special Edition 2-Disc set is individually numbered, and will include the Halo 4 Remix Album, produced by Davidge in tandem with fourteen of the world’s most renowned electronica producers and artists, including DJ Skee, Sander Van Doorn, Gui Boratto, Caspa, Apocalyptica, Hundred Waters, and many more.

Neil Davidge stated the following:

“It was an honor to compose and produce the ‘Halo 4’ score. I am so proud of the way the OST has turned out and to have had the opportunity to evolve the great legacy of ‘Halo’ music. To be able to then collaborate with these talented DJ’s and musicians on various remixes was a real bonus as it is always fun and interesting to see how others interpret and re-imagine what you have created.”

If you are an avid collector of the Halo universe then you will be able to pick up a limited edition of the soundtrack for $75 and it will include a behind the scenes video on making the music of Halo 4, an exclusive hardcover book about making the music for Halo 4, a signed art print, and much more!

Sleeping Dogs Demo Released on 360 and PS3

If you aren’t sure yet if you’ll like the recently released game, Sleeping Dogs, then you are in luck. If you are still unsure on how you feel about the game even after you’ve played the demo then you can check out our review for the game which will be release in the next couple of days.

Kinect gets a Price Drop

As the company begins to make its holiday hardware push, Microsoft has announced, by way of Major Nelson, that the Kinect will be getting a permanent price reduction.

The Kinect originally launched at the asking price of $149 so it made it a little hard for some conservative gamers to purchase it but, Microsoft has lowered the price to $109 which is a little more reasonable. The price drop will take affect immediately.

As some of you may remember though, Kinect went through a timed price drop last holiday season in which you were able to pick that and three games up for only $100. In other words, you might want to wait and see what Microsoft has up their sleeves for this upcoming holiday season.
