Using similar game mechanics as Angry Birds and Cut the Rope, Green Jelly looks to be one of those games that will drive you crazy with rage at times whilst leaving you calm and in a state of Nirvana at others with a simple concept of guiding a blob of green jelly back to its Gingerbread home, something that is much easier said than done.

RAGE: The Scorchers DLC is Out Now

RAGE was in my books an underestimated shooter of 2011. Overshadowed by many triple A games, RAGE was an open-world title set in a post-apocalyptic wasteland by developers id Software, of DOOM fame. While the game was quite good in its own right, many critics and fans were annoyed at the lack of continuation after the ending and the fact that there was little to do. Well this new Scorchers DLC (and the first real DLC since pre-order bonuses I might add) is set to address some of those concerns.

The Scorchers DLC adds in the following features:

  • New enemies and weapons
  • Additional unique environments, mini-games and of course Mutant Bash TV
  • Ultra-Nightmare Mode
  • Ability to continue after the games’ ending
  • New Combat Selection Mode that lets you relive your favourite levels

Adding in six new environments (which look like a nice green change to the overall brown tone of the main game), a whole new clan to fight against and some interesting characters to support you, The Scorchers DLC looks like everything a RAGE fan could want from additional content. If anyone still plays the game that is…

RAGE: The Scorchers is available now for the Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and PC for just $4.99 or 400 Microsoft Points.

The Unmaking of Carthage Behind the Scenes Dev Diary Released

Creative Assembly is giving more information on their upcoming game Total War: Rome II in the form of a behind the scenes video focus on Carthage, as it was just officially announced as one of the factions of the game.  Looking to be a huge map the developers also go over the newly added tactical map, that should ease the pain of having to find out where all the units currently are.  Though the developers seem quick to note that units can’t be controlled from the tactical map itself, in case players were worried the addition might make it too easy.  Not to mention the sea units now available.

Players can check out the Dev Diary embedded below to check out all they have to say, including a look at what will probably be announced as the next faction.  Those players looking for lots of detail from the Lead Unit Designer can check out that video HERE, as it isn’t for everyone.

Sleeping Dogs Zodiac Tournament DLC Out Now

The next big DLC pack for Square Enix and United Front Games’ Sleeping Dogs is out now. Much like how Sleeping Dogs took inspiration from classic Hong Kong cop dramas and action films, The Zodiac Tournament DLC takes inspiration from classic 1970s Bruce Lee kung-fu action flicks Fists of Fury and Enter the Dragon.

You know something along the lines of this ‘Baddest Fight Scenes EVER! from Enter the Dragon’:

The Zodiac Tournament is set away from Hong Kong island and instead takes place on the remote Zodiac Island, hence the name, where Wei Shen must face the ultimate test of his mastery of martial arts, by taking on the world’s greatest warriors in a fight…to the death, before taking out the island’s big boss.

Sleeping Dogs Zodiac Tournament DLC is available for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC for 400 Microsoft Points or $4.99 respectively.

Humble Indie Bundle 7 Out Now

The seventh Humble Indie Bundle is out now, conveniently timed to coincide with Christmas (you don’t say?).

The seventh incarnation of Humble Indie Bundle includes The Binding of Isaac, bloody platformer Shank 2, the surreal Closure, the gross-tastic Binding of Isaac with its Wrath of the Lamb DLC, and colorful sidescroller Snapshot.

Along with the award wining Indie Game: The Movie documentary, and just by clearing the average price: $6.09 (as of writing), you’ll get two bonus games Legends of Grimrock and Dungeon Defenders with DLC included.

As always you determine the price you want to pay for the bundle, and how much of that goes towards charity and to the developers.

Humble Indie Bundle 7 can be bought over on their official website but it won’t be around forever, so get on board now!
