Star Wars Pinball, a new standalone pinball game from Zen Studios (the makers of Zen Pinball) will drop next week on the PlayStation Network.

Zen Studios have set themselves apart as the premiere developer of video game pinball, and they’re looking to up the ante by giving fans of the illustrious Star Wars franchise a taste of pinball for their PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita.

The new pinball title will feature tables originally released as a three-table pack for Zen Pinball 2. Players who already own those tables for Zen Pinball 2 will be able to download the new game free of charge. Also, players who download Star Wars Pinball will get access to those same tables in Zen Pinball 2 free of charge.

Will you support the Rebel Alliance or the Galactic Empire? Every score counts as the community contributes scores toward one side or the other. This will directly affect the main game user interface, depending on which side wins.

The game will also feature an XP progression system, stereoscopic 3D, leaderboards, and several multiplayer modes. The game will cost $9.99 in North America and €9.99 in Europe.

Team Plasma Deoxys Event Officially Goes Live

The Badass From Space, Poke-Peeps!
The Badass From Space, Poke-Peeps!

The latest Wi-Fi event for the Pokemon Black 2 and White 2 games is officially live and ready for all English Language games.

The Legendary Deoxys has been released and this will be the first time, without trading or hacking, that you will be able to get it on Black and White 2. Not only do you get the Pokemon but you get it at Level 100 and with a few awesome moves too, not to mention a special item.

Deoxys, Level 100, comes with the moves; Nasty Plot, Dark Pulse, Recover and Psycho Boost which is great considering it’s a psychic type. The item that it is holding is the Life Orb which boosts an attacks power by 30% yet takes 10% of health away which is actually not too bad since Deoxys is powerful enough to take out a great deal of enemies with haste. It’s ability, like most of the Legendary Pokemon, is Pressure which effects the PP of the enemy. If that’s not enough it also comes in it’s very own Dusk Ball which, while having no actual effect, looks pretty cool when throwing it out to battle. You can also take advantage of all of Deoxys Forms by taking it to Nacrene City that way it can fit in with any team structure you could have.

As you can see this beast of a Pokemon would make a great addition to any team and is ready for a fight as soon as you get it.

To participate in the Deoxys character distribution event via the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection service, players will need:

  • Wireless broadband Internet access
  • A Nintendo DS, Nintendo DSi, Nintendo DSi XL, Nintendo 3DS, or Nintendo 3DS XL system
  • A copy of the Pokémon Black 2 or Pokémon White 2 game
  • No more than 11 Wonder Cards in their possession

This Event runs until the 31st of May so go grab it now before it takes off back into space once again!

Bethesda has just recently released details on their latest project. That Project? Wolfenstein: The New Order.

The Wolfenstein franchise has a fairly strong legacy behind it. The first memorable game in the Wolfenstein franchise is the game Wolfenstein 3D, which many attribute to be the pioneer of 3D gaming in general. From there, there was a potential sequel, Rise of the Triad, but this was quickly turned into its own game. From there, the next notable game was Return to Castle Wolfenstein, by Raven Software.

This brings us to the current Wolfenstein game, Wolfenstein: The New Order. This retelling of the story is by developer MachineGames, who claim to be massive fans of the franchise. To quote the Press Release:

“We are excited to bring a new chapter of Wolfenstein to gamers everywhere,” said Jens Matthies, creative director at MachineGames. “As fans of the series, working on this game is an honor, and our team is driven to create an unforgettable action-adventure experience that will make FPS fans proud.”
