BioShock Infinite has shipped 3.7 million units since launch

bioshock-infinite-environment- (3)

If for some reason you have been sitting out on 2K and Irrational Games’ latest BioShock game, BioShock Infinite, then you are one of the few. Today it was revealed via Take-Two’s year-end financial report that the company had shipped over 3.7 million units of the title since it was released.

It is interesting to note that the company has stated that the game has seen “significantly” higher first-month sales than any other BioShock release in history. It is also worth noting that Take Two stated that the BioShock Infinite Season Pass has seen solid demand. It seems that Take-Two is pleased with the status of the BioShock series so far, though of course if it was Square Enix, they’d probably be closing up shop.

WWE 2K14 to be released in late October

wwe-2k14-reveal

As you may or may not know, as the rest of the surviving gaming publishers circled THQ’s freshly killed carcass, there were a number of rumors and finally a confirmation that Take-Two had acquired the company’s popular WWE gaming franchise.

Well today it was announced by 2K Games that WWE 2K14 will be released on October 29 for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. No other consoles were mentioned at the time of reveal but it is worth noting that Yuke’s will continue to work on the series. As for who will grace the cover this year, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson will be featured on the cover if Stephanie McMahon is to be believed.

Atelier Escha & Logy receives over 45 minutes of gameplay footage

Atelier-Escha-and-Logy-Alchemist-of-Dusk-Sky-09

Remember how last week it was discovered that the first gameplay footage for Atelier Escha & Logy: Alchemist of Twilight Sky would be shown off on Nico Nico Live today? Well it was, but there is a very good chance that most of you, like myself, ended up missing it due to various time frame differences.

However a helpful YouTube user was able to record all 46 minutes of gameplay footage that was shown off during the stream which provides us a look at the game’s crafting system, revamped combat and of course, the game in motion for the first time ever. Anyways, take a look at the video below and be wary of the rather loud commentators who speak over the game’s voicework and music.

Currently Atelier Escha & Logy: Alchemist of Dusk Sky is set to be released in Japan on June 27th and Tecmo Koei, owner of developer Gust, have yet to announce their plans for the series in the West.

How-I-Met-Your-Mother-Season-8-Surprise

*** SPOILER ALERT***

Like seriously, it’s a massive spoiler, bigger than that Doctor Who one, you’ve been warned.

On Monday’s season 8 finale of How I Met Your Mother, ‘The Mother” was revealed….and CBS has confirmed it. Featured in the picture below (we don’t want to ruin it just yet), is a picture of a girl seen from Monday’s season finale. You may notice she has a yellow umbrella, and the same boots shown in season 8. She’s shown getting on a train to Farhampton, which lines up perfectly with Ted meeting her at the train station outside of Barney and Robin’s wedding. She also wears the boots we’ve seen previously and even has a yellow umbrella.

Ok, you ready?

Boom! That’s Cristin Milioti. She’s no stranger to the small screen, already appearing in shows like 30 Rock and The Good Wife. She even was nominated for a 2012 Tony award for her performance in The One.

Table top Anime RPG gets funded over 630% on Kickstarter

ova-ks-01

Graphic designer Clay Gardner launched a Kickstarter on May the 8th for his newest role playing game, six days have passed and the project already has over $48,000 pledged to it.

OVA: The Anime Role Playing Game’s Kickstarter page describes the game as a tabletop RPG that was “lovingly crafted to capture the diverse worlds of Japanese animation.” Originally created in 2005 the game was met with praise; however Gardner wanted to re-create the game entirely, he has spent years taking out unnecessary items and adding new features to make the game more exciting.

OVAs character creation is one of the main features pushed for the game, the rules are said to be simple to understand and can be tailored to the character concept you had in mind.

Pledges start at $1 which gets you digital wallpapers and avatars of OVA, all pledges over $30 will get a PDF version and a hardcover full color copy of the actual game. People who contribute $125 will be giving the physical and digital versions of the game as well as 3 player books, dice and a dice pouch.

The initial goal for the project was $7,500 and has 34 more days to go before it closes. OVA currently have 956 backers, click here to check out the Kickstater page.

The mock-up Attack on Titan poster which can be seen to the right, is so damn good that we wish it was real. Tajima claims that he is a huge fan of Attack on Titan and would love to get an offer to work on the upcoming live-action film. I don’t see why he shouldn’t after making a poster that incredible.

The date on Tajima’s mock-up poster is not the actual release date of the film. The film is slated for 2014, but no official date has yet to be set.
