crimson-dragon-tgs-2013- (2)

Yesterday a new trailer for Crimson Dragon was released for Tokyo Game Show and while we knew at that time that it would be released digitally the same day the Xbox One launches, we had no idea exactly how much it would cost.

Well today Microsoft revealed at TGS that the game will sell for $19.99 when it is released on November 22nd. Interestingly enough, if anyone buys the game before the end of the year they will be given an exclusive dragon for use within the game. To go along with this announcement the company has released a handful of new screenshots of the game which can be seen below.

SimCity: Cities of Tomorrow Expansion Coming November 14

Those are some Mega-City One looking buildings! But no, this isn’t a Dredd city-builder (how cool/odd would that be?!) – this is your first look at EA‘s SimCity: Cities of Tomorrow. The expansion pack releases on November 14th for PC and Mac and will take you 50 years into the future, where you can utilise new technologies and experimental urban planning techniques to shape your city into a thriving, clean utopia (as seen below), or a hyper-commercialised dystopia.

Patrick Buechner, General Manager, Maxis Emeryville, said;

Will the world of tomorrow be a utopia powered by clean energy or an industrial society consumed by mass commercialism? With SimCity Cities of Tomorrow, players can build the future as they imagine it. Transport your Sims on MagLev, power your cities with fusion reactors or tidal wave generators, manufacture a legion of drones to serve your Sims and build massive MegaTowers that dwarf modern skyscrapers. We’re giving you plausible technologies to take your cities onto a journey 50 years into the future. What will you create?

New regions, specialisations and transportation methods are just some of the thematic additions that will aid you, as Major, to mold and evolve your city. Underpinning your decisions is the ever-present influence of two organisations: the Academy, and OmegaCo. The former believes in clean energy providing a bright future for all, while the latter is a giant, greedy corporation who feed off commercialism, strip-mining natural resources and polluting the land without a care. Now, cities can be built vertically with multi-zone MegaTowers (this is Mega-City One!). Maniacal players can also summon a new and exclusive natural – or possibly not-so natural? –  disaster.

Check out the announcement trailer for SimCity: Cities of Tomorrow below. So, will you go green, with service drones at the ready to manage the day-to-day operations of your high-tech wonderland, or will you plunge entire regions into depressive, high-pollution hell-holes just for the fun of it? Guess we’ll find out on November 14th.

You may remember that back at E3, Tecmo Koei announced that they were planning on localizing Toukiden: The Age of Demons. Since then they haven’t said much about the game except that it would be released sometime this year.

Well today it has been revealed that that release window won’t be hit as the company is now planning on releasing Toukiden: The Age of Demons in early 2014. The game itself focuses on taking out destructive Oni who have invaded the world with characters they create themselves as they fight alongside six NPCs that were designed by Atelier Ayesha artist Hidari.

Deception IV: Blood Ties heads West early 2014

Today Tecmo Koei revealed a number of games they are planning on localizing over the first few months of 2014 and after revealing they would be bringing Atelier Escha & Logi, to Europe (so far), they also announced that the previously named Kagero: Dark Side Princess will be coming over as Deception IV: Blood Ties.

The game is confirmed by both the American and European branches of Tecmo Koei for release. As for the game itself, it comes from the producer of the Fatal Frame series and is a re-imagining of Devil’s Deception. It is a strategy action game where players must defeat enemies by luring them into imaginative traps.

Atelier Escha & Logy announced for European release in 2014

Great news fans of the Atelier series, Tecmo Koei is planning on continuing to support the franchise in the West. Today it was announced by Tecmo Koei Europe that the company is planning on releasing Atelier Escha & Logy: Alchemists of the Dusk Sky in Europe early in 2014.

At the moment Tecmo Koei of America has not mentioned whether the title will be released in North America, but it will likely be revealed soon, we hope. Anyways, we’ve heard a lot about Atelier Escha & Logy since it was first revealed by Gust, such as how it is the first game to feature two playable protagonists. To calm people down, Tecmo also announced that the game will have both English AND Japanese voice overs, alleviating concerns over the dub only release of Atelier Ayesha.

For Tokyo Game Show Namco Bandai has released a new set of screenshots for the game alongside the new trailer, both of which can be found below. In Tales of Xillia 2, players take control of Ludger. Ludger starts the game with a debt that must be paid to get further in the game. Ludger wields not only melee weapons such as a sword and a hammer, but also a pair of pistols.
