The release of the Attack On Titan: The Last Wings Of Mankind 3DS game is slowly creeping up on us with it set for an Official Japanese release on the 5th of December, we really havn’t seen a great deal but as the weeks and months go by we are seeing more and more screenshots that are telling us more about this game each time. As of right now I’d say the excitement level for the title isn’t too high but I can see it rising the closer it gets to release.
The screenshots released shows a Titan takedown in action as Eren locks-on to a Titans neck and goes in for the kill, the targeting system actually looks pretty impressive and I can’t wait to see some actual video footage. Alongside a screenshot of character customization is a screenshot that actually shows Eren in his Titan form which means we may get a chance to let loose as a Titan within the game. The game still looks like it needs a bit of work and fleshing out but that’s just my opinion, let us know what you think about Attack On Titan: The Last Wings of Mankind in our comments section below.
One Piece is an Anime that is extremely close to a lot of people’s hearts, it’s been running for so many years and it’s episode count has gotten so high, I’d say a lot of people find it hard to keep up to date, especially us here in Australia considering there is no real legal and easy way to go about watching brand new episodes. Crunchyroll has decided to change all that by announcing, on Thursday, that they will begin streaming the Shounen Jump Anime on the 2nd of November for all free and Premium users to see.
They will be starting with the newest episode to be released which will be Episode 619 and it will air at 10:00pm on Saturdays. The company has also stated that, within the coming months, they will start adding the older episodes so that those who aren’t caught up can do their best at blasting through this long series. It will be Streamed for users in the United States, Canada, South Africa, New Zealand, Latin America and down here in Australia. Daisuki is also streaming the series yet it is not available for us “down under” so now with Crunchyroll we can get our pirate fill without feeling like a pirate ourselves, if you know what I’m saying.
Back when Ubisoft acquired South Park: The Stick of Truth at the start of the year, the game started to be delayed and now the company has announced that the game has been delayed to March 4, 2014, placing it around a year after the initial release date for the title.
You see, apparently when Ubisoft acquired the game they “sadly realized we had to turn this thing upside down if we hoped to deliver the experience everybody wanted” according to Ubisoft North America’s president Luarent Detoc. Matt Stone and Trey Parker went further to day that “Getting the game up to the crappy standards of the show has been a real challenge and we’re excited to say it’s taken way longer than we thought it would.”
To go along with the delay announcement they released a seven minute gameplay video which can be checked out below.
Halloween is done and gone here in Australia but over in America it is just beginning and it seems that GAMEVIL is going to kick off the spooky celebrations with a huge update for their, already huge and popular, game Dark Avenger. The update will contain a great deal of updated content like graphics, gameplay and a very special, brand new Class to play as: The Sorceress! Adding to the hack-and-slash title’s cast of the Templar, Archer and Berserker, the Sorceress uses a great deal of ranged attacks which is great for crowd control while in a battle and to subdue large numbers of enemies at once.
Armed with elemental and arcane magic, this Sorceress is a force beyond your wildest dreams and she’s here to stay. Along with her addition to the game comes a whole new way of playing it so if you are a seasoned Dark Avenger player I suggest you swap to this Femme Fatale for a bit to see how she works and how the game has changed. The game is free to download on any iOS and Android device, click the respective operating system to be taken to the download page. Head down to our Featured Video Section below to see a video from GAMEVIL explaining what the character does, what she is like and, somewhat, how to use her!
Today Activision and Infinity Ward have released a new trailer for Call of Duty: Ghosts which happens to highlight the bonus multiplayer map “Free Fall” which can be obtained by pre-ordering the game from a number of retailers.
The map will be a close-quarters environment that will have players shooting it out with one another on a shattered skyscraper that is about to collapse and from the looks of things, will actually collapse during the match. Check out the trailer below and keep an eye out for Call of Duty: Ghosts when it is released on current consoles next week and as a launch title on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
It looks like Devil Survivor 2: Break Record is going to be getting yet another delay. Today Atlus has announced that Devil Survivor 2: Break Record will be released sometime in 2014 and apparently the delay is due to quality issues with the game.
Devil Survivor 2: Break Record was originally meant to be released in Japan earlier this year in July before being delayed to sometime this fall and now with the most recent delay it will be quite some time before this 3DS exclusive is released. For those interested, Devil Survivor 2: Break Record will feature a brand new story that will take place after the original game.
When you are making a game where a cyborg ninja slaughters numerous zombies and various demons all while having a mouth dirtier than a sailor then you have a pretty good excuse to release a trailer on Halloween. As such, Tecmo Koei has released a new trailer for Yaiba: Ninja Gaiden Z where Yaiba is told about his various cyborg implants all while making dirty and mostly funny comments about them.
To go along with this trailer, which can be seen below, the company also announced that the game will be released on the PS3, 360, and PC on March 4, 2014 in North America and February 28th in Europe.
Konami and MercurySteam have released a new trailer for Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 just in time for Halloween and what better fixture than Dracula himself. But, this is no time for fun and treats as this new trailer is all about Dracula getting his vengeance.
The trailer for Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 also points out some other things of note, particularly the identity of Alucard, which makes sense when thinking about all the crazy things with this messed up family. Will Dracula be able to achieve his vengeance or will he be forced to suffer his haunted dreams of his wife and child forever?
Those wanting to see what Dracula has in store for his vengeance can find the trailer embedded below. Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 is set to release February 25, 2014 for Xbox 360, PS3, and PC. Those wanting to get a taste of the game can also check out the demo currently on Xbox Live and PSN.
Midnight City, the indie label for publisher Majesco, released both Slender: The Arrival and Blood of the Werewolf just a few days ago and now that it’s Halloween they’ve got a lot of videos coming out to celebrate. The first of course is the launch trailer for the first and so far only official Slender Man game, Slender: The Arrival from developer Blue Isle Studios, which shows off the dark and creepy locations from the game as the player goes in search of Kate.
The Slender Man isn’t the only creature to fear in the game however as Charlie, a thrall of the thin man himself will also be on the prowl. Check out the launch trailer embedded just below and those looking to experience the terror themselves can find Slender: The Arrival on Steam.
Halloween isn’t all about scaring either as it is also about treats and Midnight City has an interesting treat in the form of a more fun video starring everyone’s favorite suited, tentacled, eldritch-like horror Slender Man. The promotional video for Slender: The Arrival gives an interesting glimpse into Slender Man’s home life of baking, making music, and writing a buddy cop movie starring him and Peter Dinklage titled Short and Slender.
After the disjointed creepiness of the previous trailer it is nice to get a little bit of comedy, so those wanting to see how Slender Man spends his time when not standing out in the woods or how he feels about the release of Slender: The Arrival can find it all in the video embedded just below.
Going in a much different direction from Slender Man, Midnight City has also released a launch trailer for the action platformer Blood of the Werewolf, which pits one of the lasts werewolves against the other classic monsters, such as Mr. Hyde, Dracula, and The Mummy. Developed by Scientifically Proven, players will aide Selena as she tries to save her son Nikolai from kidnapping after her husband was murdered.
With both crossbow and wolf form, Selena will be cutting a path through all these enemies to save her son. Those wanting to see the game in action and/or some more details of Selena’s quest for vengeance can check out the launch trailer for Blood of the Werewolf embedded just below and players wanting the game for themselves can find it from Steam.
Contrast has already been making waves with its gameplay at conventions and after showing off a little bit more on the main character and the music of the game, Focus Home Interactive and Compulsion Games have released a new trailer giving a backstage look at some of the different elements.
From the origins of the game itself, to the use of noir elements for both the setting and puzzles, this video gives a nice look into the mindset that Compulsion Games had while making Contrast. There has of course been many games with European settings, so with Contrast they gave the extra effort to ensure something new and different with the look and feel with the Jazz/Burlesque era.
Those wanting to learn more about where Contrast came from conceptually can find the new trailer embedded below. Contrast is currently set to release November for XBLA, PSN, and PC. Though pre-purchasing the PC version offers the Collector’s Edition which includes the soundtrack, 52 pages of concept art, and is currently discount 25%.
