Disney Infinity Toy Box Challenge Week 13

A week has gone past us already, and it is time for the awesome folks over at Disney to shower us with free Disney Infinity maps in this week’s Toy Box Challenge. As with previous weeks, there are five free maps for Disney Infinity owners to download, as well as a new Toy Box Submission Challenge, and a video that showcases the winners of the previous challenge. Without further adieu, lets get into it!

TOY BOX SUBMISSION CHALLENGE

This week’s Toy Box Submission challenge will be a tricky one. The theme for this week is DuckTales. Life is like a hurricane here in Duckberg, so make sure to build the ultimate Race cars, lasers and aero-planes to make the ultimate Duck-Blur. Will you solve the ultimate mystery or re-write Disney Infinity history.

As always, you can create and share your Toy Box creations though, using these instructions:

Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii U

Bring up the Pause Menu and select “Online/Multiplayer.”
Then select “Toy Box Share” > “Disney’s Toy Boxes” > “Submit to Disney.”
Follow the prompts. You’ll be asked to give your Toy Box an original name and description. Choose carefully – they will be shown to everybody if your Toy Box is featured.

This week’s Toy Box Countdown features the top 5 user generated maps that were submitted to Disney for the previous Toy Box Contraption Challenge. Check out the video below to see the top 5 entrants in the challenge. All of which you can download right now!

P.A.W.S. Kickstarter Campaign Launches

2+1 Games LLC have launched a new Kickstarter campaign for Prime Alien Watch Squad (P.A.W.S.), an adorable free-to-play, casual indie and strategy game planned for iOS, Android and PC.

P.A.W.S follows a highly trained squad with special abilities; Spiffy the Tiger (fast, strong and resilient), Dusty the Bear (healer), Tycho the Tortoise (spin area attack) and Bobi Sue the Squirrel (hurl projectiles), as they embark on a time-travel mission to conquer the alien invasion on Earth. Featuring an elegant design of 2D cartoony graphics and hand-drawn cel-animation, Prime Alien Watch Squad draws players into turn-based battles on a hex grid within different historical periods; including the Great Pyramid, the Eiffel Tower and the Statue of Liberty. The simplistic unit strength number gameplay adds to replayability; each stage containing more than 40,000 arrangements for players to move and attack the enemy.

Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues Character Posters

Paramount Pictures have released the 5th character poster from the upcoming Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues, this one featuring Veronica Corningstone (Christina Applegate). You can check it out at the bottom of the article.

Here’s the official synopsis:

With the 70’s behind him, San Diego’s top rated newsman, Ron Burgundy (Will Ferrell), returns to the news desk in Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues. Also back for more are Ron’s co-anchor and wife, Veronica Corningstone (Christina Applegate), weather man Brick Tamland (Steve Carell), man on the street Brian Fantana (Paul Rudd) and sports guy Champ Kind (David Koechner) – All of whom won’t make it easy to stay classy…while taking the nation’s first 24-hour news channel by storm.

The much anticipated sequel to the modern comedy classic will release nation-wide on December 19. In the meantime, watch the latest trailer where Ron Burgundy smokes crack during a live broadcast. Ah, the 80’s… I have no idea, I was born in 1990.

24 hours after teasing us with a teaser poster and two mere 6-second clips, Paramount Pictures Australia have released the official trailer for Darren Aronofsky’s NOAH, starring Russell Crowe, Jennifer Connelly, Emma Watson & Anthony Hopkins.

You can check out the action and drama-filled trailer embedded at the bottom of the article. We all know the biblical tale of Noah and the Ark, and with it making its way to the silver screen in our modern era of cinema, its clear that the story will be represented in a very visually arresting way.

The Great Flood will hit our shores on March 27, 2014. And we’ve got a fellow Australian to save us! Aussie, Aussie, Aussie! Oi, oi, oi!… Oh, he’s a Kiwi?… can Noah fail in this retelling?

Awesomenauts’ Private Mels DLC Profits To Charity

Ronimo Games, responsible for the 2.5D MOBA Awesomenauts, has today released update 1.25 for the game, bringing with it some new announcers and a new piece of ingame music as well as one other surprise. The biggest part of this update is the release of the Private Mels DLC skin for the Sheriff Lonestar character. Ronimo Games has decided to be most generous, and is donating all revenue generated by the special skin until the end of 2013 to the Make-a-Wish foundation! This act of kindness was brought about when Mels, a kid from the foundation, had their dreams fulfilled when they visited the studio where Ronimo develops their games.

Private Mels will be wearing a tough looking military uniform and will have a visual upgrade to his Bull-throwing ability. The two new announcers that are currently only being released to Kickstarter backers are Pappa Gnaw and Voltar, providing a nice variety to the announcer line up. In addition, the first Starstorm character, Ted McPain, has entered beta testing this Tuesday. Kickstarter backers with beta access are able to testdrive him until he’s ready to be released to everyone.

Beamdog and Overhaul Games are happy to announce the release of Baldur’s Gate II: Enhanced Edition. For those that have enjoyed the many perils of the epic September 2000 RPG sequel “Shadows of Amn” and later expansion “Throne of Bhaal”, the time has come for Bhaalspawn Saga to re-emerge with over 1 GB of new content. Yes, this includes 4 new characters to the title (3 from the previous enhanced edition) and plenty of upgrades to graphics as well as music content. First access to Destiny Beta will be on PS3 and PS4

During the PlayStation All Access launch event, a partnership between Bungie, Activision, and Sony was announced and this partnership will make it so that the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 will have first access to the Destiny beta which will launch early next year.

A new trailer was also shown off which you can see below. It features four players exploring a cave and facing off against a slew of robotic enemies as well as a gigantic troll-like creature. Also shown off in the video is plenty of great looking environments that players will be able to venture through once the game is released sometime next year.

Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes to feature a Sony exclusive mission as Classic Snake

The Metal Gear franchise has had a long history of being exclusive to the PlayStation and only in recent years have Metal Gear titles appeared on other platforms. As such it should come as no surprise that the PlayStation 3/4 version of Konami‘s upcoming Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes comes with something exclusive.

Today it was revealed exactly what that exclusive bonus is, and it happens to be a “Deja Vu Mission” where players can play as Classic Snake where he looks exactly like he did back during the PlayStation 1 era and it looks like enemy models will undergo the same trip back in time. You can check the video of the exclusive content below and at least take a look at a few polished snippets of new Metal Gear Solid V gameplay.

The Last of Us: Left Behind announced for Spring 2014

During Sony‘s PlayStation 4 All Access launch event Naughty Dog has revealed some more downloadable content for The Last of Us, our review of which can be found here, and this time it is story DLC which occurs before Ellie meets Joel and kicks off the events of the game’s main campaign.

The Last of Us: Left Behind is set to be released in early spring 2014 and it will tell the story of Ellie and Riley Abel as they attend a military boarding school in the Boston quarantine zone and it will explore an “essential relationship” in the game’s story. Currently no price has been announced but the reveal trailer for the DLC can be found below.

inFamous: Second Son release date announced for March 2014

inFamous: Second Son release date announced for March 2014

Today during the PlayStation All Access launch event, a new trailer was released that showed off a new ability that the new main character in inFamous: Second Son, Delsin, can use and it is called the neon power. At the end of the trailer, which you can check out for yourself below, Sony also happened to reveal the release date for the game.

The PlayStation 4 exclusive inFamous: Second Son is now set to be released on March 21, 2014 and from the looks of things, the new abilities will give players a new way to navigate the city of Seattle as well as take out anyone standing in their way.
