New ‘Ninja Turtle’ Movie Designs Leaked

ninja-turtles-poster-04

Even though the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles received a recent reboot within the film industry with the 2007 film TMNT, a new movie is in production by Paramount Pictures simply titled ‘Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles’. This new film is bringing an entirely different look to the series and a poster leaked today finally gives us a good look at what the new designs are like and as you can see for yourself in the picture above, it’s definitely different. The photo of the poster is said to have been taken at a recent London toy fair and still features the tentative title of the film when it was known simply as Ninja Turtles.

An interesting fact about this movie is that actors are acting out many of the scenes with full motion capture suits on and life-sized turtle shells on their back. The new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is due to release on August 8th, 2014. Do you like the more ‘alien’ design these turtles are taking ? Let us know your opinion in the comment below.

doctor-who-companions-screenshot-01

Do you hear it? That sound the TARDIS makes? That wheezing, groaning? That sound that brings hope wherever it goes? I can certainly hear it, and that is because tickets for Hub Productions: Whoniverse are now on sale! Whoinverse, like other Hub Productions events before it offers fans of the infamous Doctor Who a unique opportunity to meet and greet with some of the biggest stars of the hit tv show.

Oh boy is it a treat this time, as the 11th Doctor himself, Matt Smith will be sauntering onto stage alongside his companions Amy (Karen Gillan) and Rory (Arthur Darvill). This is incredibly exciting for anyone who has spent any amount of time watching the series, and is also the first opportunity Australians have ever had to see and talk to a modern doctor here in our sun baked country. Here are the dates for each of the stops that the group will be making across the tour:

  • Sat 1 Mar – Qantas Credit Union Arena (formerly: Sydney Entertainment Centre), NSW
  • Mon 3 Mar – Riverside Theatre, Perth
  • Sat 8 Mar – Adelaide Convention & Exhibition Centre, SA
  • Sun 9 Mar – Melbourne Park Function Centre, VIC

Matt, Karen and Arthur will be travelling the big cities in early March for a Live theatre-style production where they will be sharing stories and answering fan questions. If you have ever wanted to step into the TARDIS, or point a sonic screwdriver then you absolutely cannot miss this.

Tickets are available now through Ticketek at a variety of different prices and packages. The A, B, and C Reserve tickets include access to the event to see the stars live on stage, while the Gold and Silver packages also include professional photograph and autograph opportunities. Curve Mega Bundle out now for PlayStation 3/Vita

Curve-Mega-Bundle-Banner-01

Curve Studios have announced a great bundle featuring four of their most critically praised titles of 2013. The Curve Mega Bundle includes Proteus, Stealth Inc, Thomas Was Alone and Lone Survivor: Director’s Cut, and is available now on the PSN store. Each game is a Cross-Buy release, which means you’re able to play them on both the PlayStation 3 and the PS Vita with a single purchase, and some are also Cross-Save enabled.

The bundle will have the following discounted price for the first two weeks:

  • AU: $21.95/$17.56 PS Plus (Buy Here)
  • US: $14.99/$13.49 PS Plus
  • EU: €14.99/€12.99 PS Plus
  • UK: £11.99/£9.99 PS Plus

As usual, Australia gets the short end of the stick when it comes to pricing. The bundle is otherwise approximately 70% off compared to purchasing the games individually, and is cheaper than buying Proteus on its own. After the initial fortnight, the bundle will drop to about a 30% saving all up. Curve Studios PR Manager, Rob Clarke, said;

This bundle has everything from exploring a peaceful, dreamlike world to getting your head exploded by lasers. It represents a nice little slice of the ‘Indie Pie’ for those who have yet to stuff their face full of its delicious goodness.

They’re all quality indie releases, and we highly recommend checking out the bundle.

Tome of Holding: Paper Sorcerer Released Online

Paper-sorcerer-screenshot-01

Paper Sorcerer, developed by indie developer Ultra Runaway Games and crowdfunded through Kickstarter, has finally been released online for PC, Mac, and Linux. A version for iOS and Andriod will also soon be available.

Paper Sorcerer is a single-player turn-based RPG with a focus on strategy, party-building and management, and puzzles of an environmental nature (like an adventure game). You play as a sorcerer trapped in a mystical prison inside of a book who is attempting to escape. Players make use of a variety skills and spells in a battle system that attempts to emphasize strategy over grinding.  It appears to have some parallels to another game, Legend of Grimrock (the announcement of a sequel to which, we covered here), in terms of gameplay with players exploring an isometric 3D world.

Paper-sorcerer-screenshot-02

Party building is also a possibility as you assemble monsters, dark beings, and other villains to assist you in your escape. They’ll apparently be able to help you solve puzzles to uncover secret paths and find extra loot (the BEST kind of loot!).

The game also has an interesting style which makes use of hand-drawn artwork. Said style is somewhat reminiscent of the artwork on the covers of old-school pen and paper role-playing modules.

You can see a short trailer below and a demo is available here. If you deem it worthy of your patronage, you can buy the game on Steam here.

GhostControl Inc. Now Available for PC, Mac, and Linux

After being announced a few months into 2013, it looks like GhostControl Inc. is finally ready for players to jump into the turn based strategy ghost hunting game. Coming from Application Systems and Bumblebee Games, players can now fully prepare for with the demo and “Guide to ghost hunting in the 21st Century” manual which they have just released in preparation.

With 20 hours of gameplay, 18 different ghost types, and tons of unique dialogue and phone messages filled with references and call outs, players can expect plenty to amuse themselves in the strategy game. Players can expect to jump into the game for themselves right now from digital retailers like Windows Store, Desura, Gamers Gate, Indiegamestand, macgamestore, as well as currently being on Steam Greenlight. It will also be hitting the Mac App Store on January 30th.

Players wanting to check out the demo and/or manual for themselves can check out the GhostControl Inc. Website before they buy the game digitally for £9.99 ($13.90 / €12.99), but a box version is also planned for retail for £9.99.

CD Projekt RED Celebrates New Forum with Witcher 3 Screenshots

After announcing that The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will in fact be making its way to Australia and New Zealand thanks to publisher Namco Bandai, CD Projekt RED is happy to announce even more good news for fans of the series. It seems that the forums for the game have gone through a complete redesign to better improve the experience .

Just what can fans expect to find on the new forum? In addition to linking accounts to their other game forums, i.e. CyberPunk and REDkit, players will be able to easily navigate from room to room and its own achievement system. So now players should have a much better time as they discuss CD Projekt RED‘s upcoming projects.

To add even more to the release of the new forum, CD Projekt RED has also released 3 new screenshots to show of the diversity of the world of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. Players can see the screenshots above and below, as well as seeing the full sized images by clicking on the images themselves.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is currently set to release for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC sometime in 2014. Those wanting to take part in the discussion of their games can check out the brand new forum from the CD Projekt RED Website.

Are You Ready to be Born of the Gods?

born-of-the-gods-screenshot-02

Magic: The Gathering Players, it is time to get excited! This weekend marks the time where we shall all emerge from the Nyx and be the ones who are Born of the Gods. We have been playing with Theros cards since September and now it is time to move forwards. Born of the Gods, the latest set in the Greek Mythology-inspired Theros block is almost here, and this weekend marks the set’s prerelease event.

The prerelease gives players an opportunity to play with some of the new cards coming out in the set (and come up with some new strategies for the game), as well as to win some cool prizes (usually in the form of more cards). As with all prerelease events, it will be a Sealed Deck Tournament which means that you will be given six booster packs when you register and you will make and play with you 40 card deck from those cards.

born-of-the-gods-screenshot-01

Much like the Theros prerelease from September, players will choose their destiny in the form of five prerelease packs, each based on the colours of Magic. The five packs are: Destined to Lead (White), Outwit (Blue), Dominate (Black), Conquer (Red) or Thrive (Green).

Included in these packs will be:

  • 3 Theros booster packs
  • 2 Born of the Gods booster packs
  • 1 Seeded Born of the Gods booster pack (featuring mostly cards that match your chosen colour)
  • 1 Promotional card (again, matching your chosen colour)
  • 1 Hero Card
  • 1 Spindown Life Counter d20
  • 1 Activity Sheet

A Look at the Hero’s Packs for the Prerelease

The prerelease for Born of the Gods is also the next step along the Hero’s Path that was introduced for the Theros Block, so you can continue your journey to greatness, or begin anew. You don’t need to have played any of the previous steps in the Hero’s Path in order to join in, so don’t feel disparaged.

The prerelease will be running this weekend from the 1-2nd February, with many Local Gaming Stores running multiple events (so you can play through more than one colour and try out a bunch of different cards). Also remember that any card you open or win at the event is yours to keep, a full week before the set launches. So start tapping those lands, and remember that for all the Magic: The Gathering news as it becomes available, be sure to stay tuned to Capsule Computers.

The apocalypse is drawing near and the god Bhunivelze has created a new world that will serve as a new home for the people. kokoro-connect-volume-1-coverToday Seven Seas Entertainment has announced that they have acquired the license for the manga adaptation of Kokoro Connect. So far five volumes of the ongoing series have been published in Japan and Seven Seas is planning on releasing the first volume sometime in August 2014.

The manga‘s story is being handled by the original author of the light novel series, Sadanatsu Anda, while CUTEG is taking care of the artwork. The story of the manga follows the strange occurrences that happen involving Yamahoshi Academy’s Culture Club, starting with a strange incident where the male and female club members start randomly switching bodies with one another.

The light novel series was previously been adapted into an anime series back in 2012 that has since been released with an English dub in North America by Sentai Filmworks.
