Titanfall will contain sniper rifles but no-scope and quickscoping to be ‘ineffective’

titanlfall-wall-running

Despite being an issue that many people have complained about for years but certain companies do nothing to fix the problem or simply make it worse than before, it looks like Respawn Entertainment and EA will be making sure that Titanfall will not feature a certain cheap method of gameplay.

A representative of Respawn Entertainment replied to fans on the game’s forums saying that “Sniping is in the game, but due to how the game plays it’s a pretty different animal than you’ll find in your run of the mill modern military shooter. Quick scoping and no scoping are ineffective.”

It is currently unknown how they will counter these problems but for those who don’t know, a “no scope” is randomly firing a sniper rifle at close range hoping to one-hit kill anyone in front of the player while “quick scoping” takes advantage of a game’s auto-aim feature to instantly hit opposing players without aiming.

As we now know, the second season of Date A Live will begin airing sometime in Spring 2014 and now that we have a debut window, the first promotional video for the anime has been released. Despite being only seventeen seconds in length, the trailer gives us a sample of what will likely be Date A Live II’s opening theme, “Trust in You” by Sweet ARMS, as well as a look at three new girls, two of which have already been confirmed as twin spirits with the power to control the wind.

For those who didn’t follow the first season, which was licensed by FUNimation, the story follows Shidou Itsuka who learns that he has the ability to seal the powers of spirit girls who can wield devastating abilities by dating them.

Those who have been following Criminal Girls Invitation since it was announced by Nippon Ichi Software probably know that there are a number of new additions to this Vita version of the game but if you have, you likely know that NIS America, who never brought the first game over, probably won’t be touching this version either.

Still… for those who may want to import the game, are on the fence, or want to beg for a localization, the company has released four gameplay videos which total almost an hour and a half in length showing off the dungeon crawler which features some rather interesting touch screen controls…

Remember that countdown website that Compile Heart had running? Well the countdown has long since ended and the game that has been announced is called Genkai Totsuki Moero Chronicle for the PlayStation Vita. The title will be similar to Monster Monpiece but feature a number of differences, such as playing as a 3D dungeon RPG.

Interestingly enough, Compile Heart is defining the game as a “rubbing, pinching, panty-wearing RPG” which is certainly something. Some of the first details and images of what the game will look like have come from Japanese retailer listings.

The story will follow a boy who happens to be a pervert but can’t bring himself to talk to any girls because he is afraid of being called such. The only one he can talk to honestly is a monster girl that happens to be his childhood friend. When disasters begin to occur around the world monster girls become hostile towards mankind and a “Legendary Monster Girl” is attempting to destroy the world.

The boy, named Io, is ordered by the village head to investigate the source of these rumors and he takes his monster girl friend, named Lilia, with him on his journey. The game is currently set to be released on April 24th in Japan and those interested probably should prepare to import the title.

2.8 million downloads and counting – version 2.0 of popular iOS game now features new RunBot models, customised skins, in-game missions & more

London, UK – December 29, 2013 –  Marvelous Games has today announced a major update to RunBot, the graphically stunning endless runner that has been downloaded over 2.8 million times on the AppStore since its launch on August 22.  RunBot 2.0 is a comprehensive update with a wide array of features including a varied mission system, striking new RunBot models and skins with enhanced in-game abilities, daily rewards, a score-multiplier system and a host of other customisation opportunities.

RunBot is a free to play game set in the year 2371, in a 3-D futuristic cyberpunk landscape.  Players are cast in the role of RunBot, an artificially intelligent robot that has rebelled against its role as a next-generation killing machine.  They must use intuitive touch/swipe motions to control fluid freerunning Parkour moves – vaulting static obstacles, sliding underneath electrified fences, leaping vast chasms – anything to keep ahead of chasing authorities.  It’s not just about running – powerful cutting-edge laser and missile weapons systems help RunBot blast a way to freedom.

“The development team at Bravo Games has been working incredibly hard over the past few months to bring RunBot fans this content rich update,” says Jonathan Nevill, RunBot Product Manager, MAQL Europe. “Our players love RunBot, and have been quick to suggest new improvements that we’ve included – customising RunBot and a mission system were both top of their list!”
