sword-art-online-ii-reveal
Popular anime Sword Art Online has just been given a sequel set in the gun-centric world of Gun Gale Online. The announcement was made by Aniplex at the end of the Extra Edition special that aired on New Year’s Eve and streamed via Daisuki.

Due to be aired in 2014, Sword Art Online II will adapt the Phantom Bullet Arc of the light novels, which are set one year after Sword Art Online was cleared. Kirito is asked by Kikuoka Seijirou to investigate a weapon called Death Gun within the world of Gun Gale Online. The story includes new characters such as Sinon (pictured below) and a gun tournament known as Bullet of Bullets.

Titanfall will contain sniper rifles but no-scope and quickscoping to be ‘ineffective’

Despite being an issue that many people have complained about for years but certain companies do nothing to fix the problem or simply make it worse than before, it looks like Respawn Entertainment and EA will be making sure that Titanfall will not feature a certain cheap method of gameplay.

A representative of Respawn Entertainment replied to fans on the game’s forums saying that “Sniping is in the game, but due to how the game plays it’s a pretty different animal than you’ll find in your run of the mill modern military shooter. Quick scoping and no scoping are ineffective.”

It is currently unknown how they will counter these problems but for those who don’t know, a “no scope” is randomly firing a sniper rifle at close range hoping to one-hit kill anyone in front of the player while “quick scoping” takes advantage of a game’s auto-aim feature to instantly hit opposing players without aiming.

For those who didn’t follow the first season, which was licensed by FUNimation, the story follows Shidou Itsuka who learns that he has the ability to seal the powers of spirit girls who can wield devastating abilities by dating them.

Those who have been following Criminal Girls Invitation since it was announced by Nippon Ichi Software probably know that there are a number of new additions to this Vita version of the game but if you have, you likely know that NIS America, who never brought the first game over, probably won’t be touching this version either.

Still… for those who may want to import the game, are on the fence, or want to beg for a localization, the company has released four gameplay videos which total almost an hour and a half in length showing off the dungeon crawler which features some rather interesting touch screen controls…

Remember that countdown website that Compile Heart had running? Well the countdown has long since ended and the game that has been announced is called Genkai Totsuki Moero Chronicle for the PlayStation Vita. The title will be similar to Monster Monpiece but feature a number of differences, such as playing as a 3D dungeon RPG.

Interestingly enough, Compile Heart is defining the game as a “rubbing, pinching, panty-wearing RPG” which is certainly something. Some of the first details and images of what the game will look like have come from Japanese retailer listings.
