Atelier Ayesha Plus details and screenshots released

A couple of weeks ago Gust announced that they were once again making a Plus version of an Atelier title, and this one happens to be from their most recently released game, Atelier Ayesha. Now today some of the first details about what Atelier Ayesha Plus: The Alchemist of Dusk will contain and a whole slew of screenshots have also been revealed.

As with past Plus titles, the Vita port will come with all of the downloadable content available for the PS3 verson of the game, including the “Hidden Paradise” and “Cow’s Paradise” sites, new costumes for Ayesha, Linca, and Wilbell, and Marion and Odelia as playable characters. There will also be a new boss and a hard mode which makes enemies stronger, introduces new enemies, and more.

Are you ready Guys? That’s right, everybody’s favourite action packed, and completely historically accurate, series has just thrown out another trailer. The fourth instalment in Capcom‘s Sengoku Basara game series, aptly named Sengoku Basara 4, will once again see those timeless figures of Japanese history duke it out with blades, bombs, mechs, fish, a single deer and much,much more.

In addition to the already established characters, the game will add a few new faces to the fray. Shima Sakon, Shibata Katsuie, Yamanaka Shikanosuke, Goto Matabei and Ii Naotora will bolster the roster of playable characters whilst Kyogoku Maria and Ashikaga Yoshiteru will join as NPCs. Certain characters paths promise to contain an “anime route” that will see special cutscenes provided by Production I.G. (the studio behind the entire Sengoku Basara anime saga)

Crunchyroll to Stream Sakura Trick

It’s a very, very close friendship

Crunchyroll has added yet another new anime to their Winter 2014 lineup, with the acquisition of Sakura Trick. The anime itself is set to be animated by Studio Deen and focuses on the unique new relationship that develops between two old friends.

Based on the 4-panel yuri manga written and illustrated by Tachi, Sakura Trick focuses on two girls Haruka Takayama and Yuu Sonoda, who were inseparable during junior high. However, as they entered high school, they end up being seated on opposite sides of the room. Having to spend time with more friends, the two girls decide to do something to make their relationship special.

Sakura Trick is set to broadcast every Friday starting on January 10, at 9:00a.m (Pacific Time) for premium members, with a week delay for free members. So if this is the type of anime that piques your interest, make sure you tune in and watch the budding romance between these two girls. It’s kind of sweet in an innocent, friendly way.

SteelSeries Release First Wireless Controller for iOS 7

In a nod to iOS’ fast growing gaming market, SteelSeries has released the first full featured wireless controller that is compatible with all iOS 7 devices and games supporting iOS 7 controllers, like Asphalt 8: Airborne. The SteelSeries Stratus Wireless Gaming Controller connects to iOS 7 devices via Bluetooth and lasts for 10 hours of gaming. The internal battery is recharged via USB. The controller features a D-pad, four face buttons, and four shoulder buttons that are all pressure sensitive. The Stratus also features two analog sticks. Each iOS device can support up to four controllers at once. Bruce Hawver, SteelSeries CEO said:

Nippon Ichi Software aiming for two or three “Masterpieces” in 2014

While NIS America localizes plenty of games from Japan from a slew of developers, Nippon Ichi Software, their parent company in Japan, puts out a number of titles that usually are related to either Disgaea or are one off titles.

However it looks like they are going to be working on some brand new titles for 2014 according to company president Sohei Niikawa. In an interview with 4Gamer Niikawa has said that while last year was the 20th anniversary of the company’s founding, the challenge now is for them to come up with “two or three new masterpiece titles.”

He went on to say that he is currently overseeing two titles in development at the moment and that the company is intending to take on a number of challenges in the coming year.

D-Frag! to be streamed by FUNimation

Over the weekend FUNimation has announced that they will be streaming the anime adaptation of the manga, D-Frag! which debuts today, January 6th, in Japan. As for the manga, it has previously been announced for release in North America by Seven Seas Entertainment.

The story of D-Frag! centers around a delinquent named Kenji Kazama who runs into a game making club with an all girl team. Kazama finds himself joining the group and being surrounded by this strange group of girls and even some of his former gang members are brought into the group. A preview of the anime can be found below.

Secrets of Raetikon Set to Launch on Steam Early Access

Last year we were given the chance to preview Secrets of Raetikon, the latest game in development by award winning indie developer, Broken Rules. All in all, we gave it a glowing first impressions, praising it for its vibrant 2-D art style and solid controls. After months of waiting, the time has finally come for it to be released to the public as an early access open alpha on Steam.

Secrets of Raetikon is a massive 2-D exploration/puzzle game that lets you soar through the skies above the alps, completing ever more challenging and mysterious puzzles as you delve into the secrets behind a civilization long lost to the mountains. Daylight Trailer Reveals Spooky Gameplay

The latest trailer for Daylight, a first person psycho-horror game, reveals the frightening aspects of the Mid Island Hospital and beyond.

Zombie Studios, the indie developers responsible for making this game, made sure that every generated level is unique through its Unreal 4 game engine. Every door, window, flare, and clue that shows up in the game will be in a different spot, creating a completely unique experience for the player every time they start up the game. The game is being published by ATLUS, the brand responsible for publishing famous names such as Shin Megami Tensei, among other popular titles.

The game will be released in the first quarter of 2014 for a global audience. It will be available on the PC and PlayStation 4 system. Check out the trailer below for some spooky footage of the game.
