Spider-Man, Spider-Man, does whatever a spider can, and in Disney Infinity 2.0: Marvel Super Heroes that is just about anything. In the midst of all the E3 excitement going on this week, Disney have sneakily revealed a brand new Play Set for their upcoming game.

Based on the current Ultimate Spider-Man animated series, the Spider-Man play set features a slew of familiar cast and characters and a plot that involves Normal Osborn (AKA the Green Goblin) trying to clone the Venom Symbiote (and pretty much creating Carnage in the process). The play set includes everybody’s favourite wall-crawler, Nick Fury, Nova, Iron Fist, and Venom. A few other characters make appearances in the recently revealed trailer, but aren’t confirmed as playable characters such as; Green Goblin, Mysterio and Doctor Octopus.

Final Fantasy Type-0 HD Announced for PS4 and Xbox One

Final-Fantasy-Type-0-Screenshot-01
Is that you Ace? It’s been far too long.

You heard right Final Fantasy fans, the long awaited Type-0 will indeed be gracing Western shores sometime in the future. Originally released for the PSP back in 2011, the game also saw a divergence from its connection with the XIII series in the same way that XV has…though still no news on that game at the moment. Damn. Regardless, we will finally be receiving what we have been wishing for the past 3 years: localisation. So start the victory fanfare and prepare yourself for the Final Fantasy game with the highest number of fans who have never actually played the game.

Though no specifics have been given about the release date for Type-0, I think we can all agree that this is a step in the right direction. Though announced to be seeing a release on the PS Vita in addition to the PS4 and Xbox One, a swift retraction noted that the PS4 will be the only Sony console to net this Square Enix title. Unfortunate, but as we’ve all been so painfully aware these past few years: Beggars can’t be choosers.

Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire Gets Brief Trailer

Fun if by land, cool if by sea

Very brief. Following a trend brought about in some Pokemon X and Y advertisements, this trailer features a large amount of live action footage. In it, we see a trainer making his way through a jungle. After trekking through said environment, he stumbles upon an ancient wall depicting two very familiar creatures: Groudon and Kyogre.

Now the game footage kicks in. Though only a quick view into the visuals of Ruby and Sapphire reborn, it does indeed look awesome. Featuring the same 3DS style that took Pokemon to the next level, the Hoenn region has never been so…three dimensional. We catch glimpses of Gyms, Gym Leaders, Steven Stone and a few other familiar faces. However, the coolest visual by far is the in battle footage of the three brand new Mega Evolutions and two Ancient  Devolutions. It’s just so cool!

So hop to it. Check out the trailer below and get pumped for the Pokemon remake fans have been clamouring for since FireRed and LeafGreen were released. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: There’s no place like Hoenn.

Devil’s Third Trailer Finally Released

Thrice the violence

No you didn’t hear me wrong, Nintendo‘s E3 press conference finally revealed some more information about a game that has been a long time coming: Devil’s Third. With conception reaching all the way back to 2008, Devil’s Third has seen a lot of hurdles before it found its new home on the Wii U. As in, THQ was the original publisher…yeah. But luckily for the game, and us, Nintendo has gotten into the habit of saving projects in danger of falling by the wayside.

Anywho, the trailer released provides us with a little insight into the gameplay of Devil’s Third and it is….excessive. You play as Ivan, a mercenary type covered in more tattoos than you can throw a hatchet at. Regardless, his inherent skill with weaponry grants you the privelage of versatility in you murder spree. Enjoy shooting? There’s plenty of guns. Enjoy slashing? Boy has the game got swords for you. Enjoy…drum solos? Well, there’s one of those too. Awesome. From what was shown the game will also feature an influence of Asian culture, somewhat modernised by the excessive combat that shall take place throughout.

But enough of me telling you what’s in the trailer, check it out for yourself. It’s just down below. How convenient…did I mention the excessive violence? I feel like that’s important.

Mii Fighters Make Super Smash Bros. Personal

Mii, Myself and I

You feel lucky punk? Well, do ya? You’d best figure it out soon because at Nintendo‘s E3 press conference, it was announced that Super Smash Bros. for 3DS and Wii U just got a little more personal. Of course I speak of the inclusion of a rather interesting fighter: You…by which I mean Mii.

However, rather than simply slapping a Mii skin into a game as they have in the past, Nintendo has invested a large amount of effort into making the Mii Fighter a viable choice for battle. Featuring more than just a single control set, the Mii’s are divided into three categories: Brawler, Swordfighter and Gunner. As you may be able to guess from the names, these characters will focus on hand-to-hand combat, swordsmanship and projectile weaponry respectively. Featuring a plethora of special moves, these characters provide just as much versatility as their designs.

So there you have it. As if being countless Nintendo champions wasn’t enough, now you can join the fray personally. It’s pretty cool, especially since it’s more than just a gimmick. Check out the screenshots below for a little taste of what you can do as a Mii…you know what I mean.

Hyrule Warriors is of course a Dynasty Warriors styled Legend of Zelda game which tasks players with taking on large hordes of enemies in epic hack and slash combat.

Palutena confirmed for Super Smash Bros. for 3DS and Wii U

Along with the confirmation of the official release date for Super Smash Bros. for 3DS, Nintendo revealed a brand new character for the upcoming Super Smash Bros. games. The new character is none other than Palutena of Kid Icarus fame.

She was confirmed as playable during a video shown at Nintendo’s E3 2014 press conference. While there hasn’t been any further details on her, she was shown as playable on the 3DS version of the game at the very least. One can presume that she would also be playable on the Wii U version as well.

Stay tuned as more characters are confirmed for Super Smash Bros. for 3DS and Wii U.

Bayonetta 2 Set to Include Entire First Game as a Bonus

Bayonetta-Wii-U-Screenshot-01
Wait…Samus is a girl?!

That’s right fellow Umbra supporters, at Nintendo‘s E3 press conference it was announced that the upcoming Wii U exclusive Bayonetta 2 will ship with a little bonus feature: a complete copy of Bayonetta…the first game, not the witch.

Whilst obviously an awesome addition to the release for those who loved quad-wielding, Witch Timing and Durga slamming enemies sent from Heaven, the inclusion of the first game also grants Platinum Games the opportunity to draw some new fans into the franchise. Which, now that the series lives entirely on the Wii U, is definitely a good thing. Just to further relay the message that Bayonetta is now a Nintendo property, the first game will also include three new costumes, based on classic characters Princess Peach, Link and Samus. In addition to changing Bayonetta’s look, these outfits also provide some slight changes to the game’s audio and aesthetic. For example, donning the pink dress of the Princess will change Halos into coins and the demonic limbs that punctuate combos into those of Bowser. Link’s Hyrulian garb will also net you some trademark audio that’ll have you pining for Temples…when you’re not too busy smashing pots.

Oh yeah, the trailer released also showed some more information on Bayonetta 2 itself. So that’s cool. We learn that Bayonetta decides to rescue her on again, off again bestie Jeanne by visiting that tourist hotspot we’ve all heard of: Hell. Naturally this place is jam packed with Demons, so you now have the chance to decimate the other side of this biblical war. Bayonetta also appears to have a new travelling buddy who joins her on her jaunt through the Underworld, as any sane person would…

Well, what’re you waiting for? Check out the trailer below and enjoy watching everybody’s favourite Umbra Witch do what she does best: kick ass…and look damn good doing it.
