Black Butlers Sebastian Becomes a Robot Vacuum Cleaner

Black-Butler-Vaccum-Cleaner

Although we aren’t at the stage of having our own personal robot servants just yet, Sharp electronics in Japan have begun pre-orders for the next best thing, a vacuum cleaner that talks like an anime butler.

A new model for the Cocorobo Vacuum is going to be released which will feature both artwork and actual voice over lines from Sebastian Michaelis, demon butler and Ciels bodyguard from the popular anime Black Butler.

The voice actor of Sebastian, Daisuke Ono, has recorded a variety of quotes from the series and original lines to really give the illusion of an actual butler; the vacuum can give you weather updates, set alarms and converse with you on certain topics. You can even praise the vacuum for doing a good job and it will respond positively, which is a strange feature to give a small circular dust collector.

Having your own anime voiced servant will come at a hefty price though, the Black Butler vacuum is currently selling for 150,000 Yen ($1248 USD) on the Anilpex+ website with pre-order finishing at the end of this month.

Rockstar and Wavves Holding Contest to Create Official Music Video for Leave

Grand-Theft-Auto-V-promo-shot-001

Rockstar and American rockstars (the type who play guitars) Wavves are turning to the Grand Theft Auto V community to create the music video for Wavves’ new track “Leave.” The song is featured on the album The Alchemist and Oh No Present: Welcome to Los Santos.

The rules are pretty simple:

  • The video must feature the song “Leave” by Wavves as its soundtrack, and only that song.
  • Your video must be between 3 and 5 minutes in length.
  • The video must be published to Rockstar Games Social Club and tagged with the word ‘leave’ between now and 11:59pm ET on June 8th to be eligible.
  • For legal reasons, only residents of certain countries are eligible to win.
  • The video must be made entirely using the Rockstar Editor. We know that many advanced Rockstar Editor video creators like to use additional third party editing software but in order to keep this competition fair for all entrants, we require that you only use the Rockstar Editor in producing the video.

Wavves and Rockstar Games will choose the winners. In case you need a little inspiration, Wavves has provided the following statement on what they are looking for in the video:

The song is about leaving a bad situation. Whether that means a criminal enterprise or activity, or a bad romantic relationship, or something else entirely is up to you to interpret as the music video director. Just have fun with it and don’t be afraid to get a little weird along the way.

There are a ton of prizes to be won. The grand prize winner will take home

  • G910 Orion Spark Gaming Keyboard and G510 Proteus Core Gaming Mouse branded with both the winner’s Social Club ID and the Rockstar Editor Logo
  • $100 gift card to the Rockstar Warehouse
  • a prize pack of official GTAV swag

There will be two runner ups who will also receive the $100 gift card and the GTAV prize pack.

For those who aren’t in the mood to create a music video but want to free stuff, anyone who uploads any video to the Social Club during the contest period will get a The Loneliest Robot in Great Britain branded tshirt in game.

‘Dungeon Travelers 2’ Calendar Launch Bonus Announced

Dungeon-Travelers-2-Calendar-001

When Dungeon Travelers 2: The Royal Library & the Monster Seal is released in North America sometime this summer there will be a nice little bonus alongside the physical release of the game.

Atlus USA has announced that all pre-ordered and first-run copies of Dungeon Travelers 2: The Royal Library & the Monster Seal will come with a 17 month calendar featuring hand-drawn artwork of the game’s female characters. Since the artwork is similar in style to the artwork that will appear in the game, it will be fairly lewd from the looks of the image above but of course will be kept to an M rating.

Persona-5-Screenshots- (3)

PlayStation Japan recently revealed the official Persona 5 game page and with this official website comes a batch of high-res screenshots. It is worth noting that a large batch of these screenshots come from the gameplay trailer we saw back in February but a handful of them come from poorly shown magazines or thumbnails so it is certainly worth checking them out below.

As for the game itself, Persona 5 is still currently scheduled for release on the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3 later this year for Japan, and while no time frame was announced, Persona 5 has also already been confirmed for release in North America by Atlus USA.

If you happen to remember playing Grandia II back on the Dreamcast then you’ll likely be quit disappointed that other than a third game being released four years later for the PS2, the series has more or less been forgotten about.

However it seems that GungHo Online Entertainment is listening to fans and thanks to fans “enthusiastic feedback” from an April survey, the company will be bringing the original Dreamcast version of Grandia II to PC through Steam.

Speaking with GameSpot, the president of GungHo America, Jun Iwasaki, revealed that the game will feature high-definition visuals, support for Steam achievements and trading cards, as well as mouse and keyboard support.

CBS’ Supergirl Gets an Extended Trailer

Supergirl-CBS-screenshot-001

As someone who grew up a fan of DC Comics, I have really enjoyed The CW’s Arrow and The Flash series from Greg Berlanti. But this upcoming season, Berlanti has a new superhero series coming to CBS starring Kara Zor-El, known to us as Supergirl.

Today, CBS released an extended trailer for the upcoming series. SPOILER WARNING: The trailer pretty much shares the plot of the entire pilot — including its ending — so don’t watch if you have never seen a superhero film or television show and want to be surprised:

I am ecstatic to see Superman does in fact exist in this world. I was honestly worried that they would try and keep him non-existent in their TV universe. We are still unsure if CBS will let Kara exist in a shared universe along side Ollie and Barry in CW’s Arrow and Flash, but we still have our fingers crossed. After all, CBS co-owns The CW alongside Warner Bros. and Berlanti is producing and showrunning all three series. Fingers crossed and all that. And it looks much better than whatever DC Comics is doing with their movies.

Supergirl stars Melissa Benoist as the titular character along with Mehcad Brooks as Jimmy Olsen, Calista Flockhart at Cat Grant, David Harewood as Hank Henshaw, and Chyler Leigh as Alex Danvers (Kara’s foster sister). The series is developed by Greg Berlanti and Ali Adler (who also wrote the pilot together) along with Andrew Kreisberg. I’m also quite excited to see Calista Flockhart back on TV playing a strong character like Cat Grant. It was also announced that Dean Cain — who portray Superman in the ’90s television series, Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman — and Helen Slater — who played the titular role in 1984’s Supergirl film — will appear in the series as undisclosed characters.

Supergirl will air Mondays at 8pm on CBS beginning this November. I guess I might actually have a reason to watch CBS next season.

That isn’t all the news they had for the game however as the company also released a teaser trailer announcing that The Witch and the Hundred Knight 2 is in the works though at the moment no actual details have been released about the title. For now you can check out both teaser clips below.

life-is-strange-episode-3-01

Life is Strange Episode 2 (full review here) continued the great experience from episode 1 and now Dontnod and Square Enix have announced the release date for Episode 3 ‘Chaos Theory’. The May 19th release date lines up nicely with the every six weeks plans Square Enix had for the game. Chaos Theory will have protagonist Max and her best friend Chloe breaking into their school after dark but their motives are being kept hidden for now. The disappearance of Rachel Amber that was heavily mentioned in Episode 1 will be touched on in this new episode as well.

Life is Strange Episode 3 will be available on PC, PS3, Xbox 360, PS4 and Xbox One on May 19th. The season pass will give you access to all five episodes for $29.95 AU while each episode costs $7.55 AU individually. I’ve really enjoyed the series so far and am definitely looking forward to what Episode 3 can bring the table. Look out for our full review a few days after the launch.

D4: Dark Dreams Don’t Die Season 2 Teased

d4-dark-dreams-dont-die-season-2-screenshot-01

Earlier this month it was revealed that Hidetaka Suehiro, better known as SWERY, was planning on bringing D4: Dark Dreams Don’t Die Season 1 to the PC and in a recent interview with Famitsu he has revealed that Access Games plans on releasing the title on June 5th for $14.99.

While this news is great for those who never had a chance to play the original due to it being an Xbox One exclusive, the exciting news from this interview comes in the form of a screenshot teasing D4: Dark Dreams Don’t Die Season 2. This comes as a pleasent surprise since this is the first time that a continuation to the story has been confirmed in any way.
