NEOCOREGAMES INTRODUCES WARHAMMER: 40,000 INQUISITOR – MARTYR

NEOCOREGAMES INTRODUCES WARHAMMER: 40,000 INQUISITOR – MARTYR

Budapest, Hungary – July 16, 2015 –  Veteran video game developer NeocoreGames (The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing trilogy, King Arthur) is proud to announce today a totally new action-RPG, Warhammer 40,000: Inquisitor – Martyr, produced in close collaboration with Games Workshop, developers and publishers of the well-known Warhammer 40,000 tabletop game and universe.

Warhammer 40,000: Inquisitor – Martyr is an action-RPG that not only evokes the dystopian world of the dark and violent 41st millennium, but also becomes the next milestone in the evolution of action-RPGs.

Building on the experience gained from The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing action-RPG trilogy, NeocoreGames aims to expand the boundaries of the genre itself by taking the in-game mechanics and visual solutions to a brand new level and also by opening up a persistent sandbox action-RPG.

The single-player campaign pitches players into a grim and secret war among the stars as the agents of the ever-vigilant Inquisition. After the end of the campaign the story continues in a colossal sandbox game set in the same secluded sector of this vast universe. This persistent setting grants years of constant entertainment, gradual development and a continuous flow of content that enriches the action-RPG gameplay.

Coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, and Mac in 2016, Warhammer 40,000: Inquisitor – Martyr will be a monumental, brutal, and grim experience, undeniably true to the spirit of the Warhammer 40,000 universe.

“There’s a reason why we chose the world of Warhammer 40,000: it’s intense, brutal, visceral – a perfect material for an action RPG,” said Zoltán ‘Pozs’ Pozsonyi, Producer, NeocoreGames. “Working with Games Workshop, we’re doing our best to bring a high quality game to the community. We’re huge fans as well, so we care deeply about this game.”

“A Warhammer 40,000 action RPG has been notably absent from our portfolio of video game licenses so far and it’s great to finally be able to talk publicly about this wonderful game that the guys at Neocore have been working so hard on for some time now,” said Jon Gillard, Head of Licensing, Games Workshop. “Their previous action RPGs are very impressive and we feel privileged to be partnering with them on this game.”

DAVE & BUSTER’S LAUNCHES INNOVATIVE NEW MOBILE GAMES THAT ALLOW PLAYERS TO WIN REAL PRIZES

Players Can Now Redeem Real Tickets for Real Prizes by Playing Popular Arcade Games Speed of Light, Big Bass Wheel and Tippin’ Bloks – on their Phones and Tablets

DALLAS, TX. – July 16, 2015 – Dave & Buster’s, the ultimate destination for fun, food, friends and games, introduced today three new mobile games based on some of their most popular arcade games.

For the first time ever, these mobile games give Dave & Buster’s players the ability to play in the digital world, and win prizes in the “real-world.”  Players redeem points for real-world tickets that are automatically stored on their Power Card and redeemable for prizes at all Dave & Buster’s brick-and-mortar locations throughout the United States and Canada. Prizes range from toys and video games to gaming consoles and tablets. The games are available for both iOS and Android devices.

The mobile versions of Big Bass Wheel and Tippin’ Bloks, developed by Robosoft Technologies, and Speed of Light, developed by Sarbakan, are all based on guest favorites from Dave & Buster’s restaurants. The development teams expanded on the arcade themed fun by adding new features to the mobile games, optimizing them for a smaller screen and integrating the technology that allows players to accumulate tickets and transfer them directly to their Power Card.

“We wanted to enhance our in-store experience by providing a virtual experience,” said Kevin Bachus, senior vice president, entertainment and games strategy. “Now guests can keep the Dave & Buster’s fun going even when they’re not at our restaurant. They can download these new mobile games and win tickets to redeem for prizes on their next visit.”

Video game industry veteran Kevin Bachus led the creation of these ground-breaking new games for Dave & Buster’s. Bachus was one of the original creators of the Microsoft Xbox console and joined the Dallas-based restaurant group in 2012 to evolve the on-premise arcade experience into a multi-platform gaming experience.

“We didn’t just put an arcade game on your phone; we made these games feel ‘native’ to mobile,” said Bachus, “These games are about more than winning tickets — these are really good, really fun, games you will want to play.”

About the games:

  • Tippin’ Bloks – Get ready for the ultimate challenge to stack endless waves of Bloks falling from the sky. Move the Base from side to side and try to catch and stack ‘em straight. Be careful or the Blok tower will become wobbly. If the Base moves too fast, it will all come crashing down.

Nobunaga’s Ambition: Sphere of Influence Battle Details, Gameplay, and Screenshots Released

nobunaga-ambition-sphere-of-influence-screenshot- (18)

Today Koei Tecmo has released a slew of new screenshots, a handful of new gameplay clips, and new battle details for Nobunaga’s Ambition: Sphere of Influence which is set to be released on the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, and PC on September 1st in North America and September 4th in Europe.

Most of these gameplay clips show off the various strategies that players can use during large scale battles in Nobunaga’s Ambition: Sphere of Influence as well as a combined strategy. As for the actual battles, players will be spending quite a bit of time in combat since it is not necessary for players to declare war to strengthen their position, enemy lords may attack castles, towns, and settlements to increase their area of influence and grow their wealth. Defeating enemy fiefs can also strengthen the overall standing of the player’s chosen clan, so growing a strong, well-equipped and well-trained, loyal army is key to successfully completing the game.

Players can enter the battlefield with one or multiple army regiments, call on banner-men, allies and subordinates, and strategically use the terrain to the advantage of their clan. Battles are resolved in multiple ways, including a remote, birds-eye view of the map where there is free control of individual armies or combinations of allied forces, and a close-up view option that offers more control of individual units.

Story of Seasons Became XSEED’s Fastest Selling Game; PopoloCrois Trailers Released

popolocrois-story-of-seasons-screenshot- (1)

It seems that despite having a different title than fans of the core series would be familiar with, Story of Seasons still did incredibly well as XSEED has announced that not only has the title sold more than 100,000 units so far in North America but that it is also their fastest selling game ever released. The company went on to mention that Rune Factory 4 has moved 160,000 units in North America since its release back in late 2013.

That wasn’t all they had to say about their farming titles however, as they also released some new English screenshots and gameplay footage for Return to PopoloCrois: A Story of Seasons Fairytale which is set to be released in North America sometime in winter.
