Mighty No. 9 broke records back when it was being Kickstarted and ever since it was funded it has been bad news left and right for the title. Inafune and Comcept made things worse today by announcing that despite Mighty No. 9 originally being set for release in under a month by Deep Silver, that they are now delaying the side-scroller to sometime in Q1 2016.
This news comes a week after members of the staff denied that Mighty No. 9would not be delayed, with the announcement being held off until the end of Inafune’s recently failed Red Ash Kickstarter project. According to the update that was released to backers and then posted on NeoGAF, Comcept stated the following “As we have communicated in the updates to our backers, all of the core content for the game is developed and in a complete state. However, there are still bugs and issues pertaining to the online features that are included in the game. These bugs and issues have a direct affect on enjoyment of the game, so a decision was made to work these issues out before release.”
