Nintendo didn’t have many surprises up their sleeve for E3 but new RPG from developer Grezzo was one of the few. Ever Oasis is a brand new IP for the 3DS that focuses on a young boy named Tethu who has to create a village in the middle of a vast desert to try and save his older brother from the forces of chaos.

The game is being produced and directed by Koichi Ishii who is best known for directing the first three Final Fantasy games and many of the titles in the popular Mana series. Alongside the new trailer was also a press kit detailing some of the games features.

Ever Oasis Features:

  • Explore a savage desert, deep caves, and puzzle-filled dungeons.
  • Forage materials to make productions at shops, or synthesize equipment and items at your treehouse.
  • Complete missions to recruit new villagers, each with their own shops, weapons and abilities, then bring them exploring/foraging.
  • Earn dewadem, currency, over time as shops sell their wares to build new Bloom Booths.
  • Battle wildlife that are possessed by Chaos and other enemies in real-time combat, while actively switching between party members.
  • Immerse into a beautifully crafted world inspired by Egyptian culture/mythology.

A trailer and live demonstration of the game was released today on Nintendo’s YouTube channel and you can check out the trailer for yourself below. Ever Oasis definitely has an interesting premise but will have to do a lot to stand out from the already crowded RPG market on the 3DS console that already has gamers busy with the likes of Fire Emblem and Bravely Second. The game does not have a release date as of yet apart from a 2017 window.

pokemon-go-01

Pokemon GO is a lot closer to release than many believed with late July 2016 being the aimed for release date announced at a recent live play event at Nintendo’s E3 Treehouse. It was noted this is when the game is aiming to be released and it may have to be pushed back if problems arise. We also got our first look at direct feed official gameplay, right from the developers themselves which revealed some interesting new information as well as some laughs, such as this picture of one of the developers dogs vsin g a Nidorino.pokemon-go-02

You can watch the footage in whole below but we’ve neatly listed all the highlights for you from that footage below.

  • The main focus of the game is catching Pokemon. You can earn XP for fancy Pokeball throwing methods such as a curve ball.
  • More Pokemon will be added later but at launch only the original first generation will be available.
  • The accessory GO Plus will flash green if a Pokemon is nearby. If you press the button it will then automatically try to capture the Pokemon for you, if it flashes rainbow then it’s caught, if it flashes red the capture failed.
  • The GO Plus accessory is also aiming for a July release date and will be available at certain retailers for a cost of $34.99 US.
  • Pokemon GO will eventually have connectivity with the new series core games Pokemon Sun & Moon.
  • Trading will be implemented into the game at some point after launch through an update.
  • To evolve Pokemon in Pokemon GO you need to use specific candies. Catching a Pokemon will give you a candy. You can use these candies to Power Up or Evolve a Pokemon. For example, if you catch 25 Bulbasaurs you can use those 25 candies to evolve it into Ivysaur or Power Up 25 times.
  • There are plans to have events where players meet in one physical location, most likely similar to the Mewtwo capture in Times Square we saw in the announcement trailer.

Be sure to check out all our previous Pokemon GO! reports to see all the news we have collected over the last year, including how battles and gyms will work.

Plymouth, MI. – June 15, 2016 – Stardock released the new ‘Rise of the Terrans’ DLC for its popular strategy game, Galactic Civilizations III today. The DLC allows players to experience the early days of the Terran Alliance and lead humanity’s first steps out into the galaxy with a brand new campaign.

“Destiny might be calling, but you’re not alone and not all races are especially friendly,” said Paul Boyer, lead designer for Galactic Civilizations III. “After humanity discovers how to build a Hyper Drive and starts to explore space, they run into all sorts of new races and situations that eventually culminate in forming the Terran Alliance. It’s always been a pretty cool story to us, so that’s what we wanted to cover in this new campaign.”

The “United Earth” faction, led by Secretary General Mathews, is new to the DLC as well. The new faction comes armed with the “experienced” ability, which allows their ships to gain experience from battles and surveying anomalies more quickly.
