War Rock pits Clan against Clan this June

War Rock pits Clan against Clan this June

New robust clan-based matchmaking system now available in multiplayer shooter

Berlin, Germany – 16th June 2016 – Free-to-play shooter, War Rock has received an update that adds a robust new Clan matchmaking system to the game, giving players the opportunity to team up with their buddies in game and take on other teams.

The update implements a new, streamlined auto-matchmaking system that makes easy for players to team up with their Clan and head into the action guns blazing. Players just need to create a waiting room that their members can join, select a map and mode and the game will do the rest; ensuring the clan is on the same team and pitting them against another clan.

An updated ranking system ups the competitive ante, stacking a clan‘s performance against others. Teams will earn points for winning matches, or have them deducted for losses.

In addition to overall team performance, the new Clan system ensures that the contribution of individual clan members is recognized.  Players can now easily access their personal record from the Clan Home page; from here they can view their Clan Battle Record which displays in game statistics such as number of wins and losses, win rate and clan dedication.

The new system also supports Friendly Clan Matches, which offer the same intense team-based battles but do not impact Clan Rankings. This means that clans can freely jump into matchups without putting it all on the line, and gives the perfect opportunity to get some team training in.

Akiba’s Beat E3 Trailer Shows off New Gameplay Footage

Akibas-Beat-screenshot-005

XSEED Games announced last week that they are already planning on bringing the recently announced Akiba’s Beat over to North America for the PlayStation 4 and PS Vita and now the company has released an E3 2016 trailer for the title showing off brand new English footage that hasn’t even been shown off in Japan yet.

You can check out the video below and as for the game’s story, Akiba’s Beat follows Asahi Tachibana, a textbook NEET living in Tokyo’s electronic district of Akihabara, who gets caught in a temporal loop where Sunday repeats each day. Together with six other characters the group must locate “delusions” that have been made real and destroy them in order to restore Akihabara to its natural state.

A full description for the story of the game has been provided by XSEED Games and you can read it below:

NEET: Short for “No Experience, Education, or Training.” Typically considered to be underskilled shut-ins who live by themselves in humble yet comfortable apartments, NEETs are known to mooch off their parents’ good will to play video games and watch anime all day instead of looking for work.

Asahi Tachibana is a textbook NEET, living a lazy, cozy life in Akihabara, the infamous Tokyo suburb renowned for its proliferation of anime and video game merchandise, maid cafes, pop idols, and all other forms of counterculture indulgence. To him, every day is Sunday, and every Sunday is a fun day.

Little does he know, however, that every day is about to become Sunday for real! Caught in a temporal loop, where the day restarts as soon as it ends, Asahi is one of only a chosen few whose memories don’t reset with it. He and his merry band of time-displaced losers must now scour Akihabara for signs of “delusions” – people’s innermost fantasies made manifest, changing the cityscape and the behavior of its citizens alike. It is the duty of this ragtag team (whether they like it or not) to infiltrate and destroy these delusions, restoring the natural order of Akiba in the vain hope that this loop may be their last.

During the course of this increasingly improbably quest, Asahi and his companions will unravel a deep, twisted mystery that blurs the line between the physical world and that of mankind’s innermost desires. Can this band of misfits restore normalcy (or what passes for normalcy) to Akihabara? Or will they succumb to the will of the enigmatic pink-caped man, who seems to be the key to everything…?

This minute and a half long video tries to highlight some of the game’s story while also showing off a bit of gameplay and battle systems that players will use when the game is released. One lone Hunter, the game’s protagonist, meets an early demise and through a pact with a lesser god, is brought back to life in exchange for his pledge of servitude. The other video released shows off the “Type-F Regalia” that players will be able to eventually use after a certain point in the game.

ever-oasis-promo-01

Nintendo didn’t have many surprises up their sleeve for E3 but new RPG from developer Grezzo was one of the few. ever-oasis-screenshot-02

ever-oasis-screenshot-01

A trailer and live demonstration of the game was released today on Nintendo’s YouTube channel and you can check out the trailer for yourself below. Ever Oasis definitely has an interesting premise but will have to do a lot to stand out from the already crowded RPG market on the 3DS console that already has gamers busy with the likes of Fire Emblem and Bravely Second. The game does not have a release date as of yet apart from a 2017 window.
