Ubisoft’s Virtual Reality Titles Launching between October and December

Ubisoft’s first thrust into the virtual reality headset market is kicking off this October and will continue into December. The first VR title announced by the French publisher was Eagle Flight. This high flying game set in Paris will launch on Oculus Rift on October 18th, PlayStation VR on November 8th, and HTC Vive on December 20th.

Co-operative multiplayer game Star Trek: Bridge Crew will be launching simultaneously on all three platforms. While playable solo, the game puts players on the bridge of a Starfleet ship. Each player has their own important role on the ship that will allow them to successfully explore the galaxy and return home in one piece.

Ubisoft’s VR spin on the classic game of werewolf will also be seeing a simultaneous release. Werewolves Within will launch on all platforms on December 6th. The game supports five to eight players in fast paced rounds to uncover who in the group is the werewolf.

Finally, Ubisoft will be adding a free patch to TrackMania Turbo for PlayStation VR support on November 8th.

Overwatch Short Film “The Last Bastion” Released at gamescom 2016

Blizzard’s legendary animation department is at it again! A brand new short film for Overwatch entitled “The Last Bastion” has been released, joining previous films starring Winston, Tracer, Hanzo, and Soldier 76. The film saw its debut at the Blizzard stage at gamescom 2016.

“The Last Bastion” follows Bastion’s journey as the robot soldier wakes up after being disabled in a forest for over a decade and begins to marvel at the natural world around it. All is not well, as Bastion’s programming still has it primed for war against the humans. Told without a single word, “The Last Bastion” is a beautiful story of curiosity, regret, and choosing one’s destiny.

Deus Ex: Mankind Divided Launch Trailer Released

Square Enix and Eidos Montreal have chosen to release the launch trailer for Deus Ex: Mankind Divided a week ahead of the game’s release and you can check it out below. The trailer features mostly cinematic scenes but a few gameplay scenes are also included. As for the premise of the game, Deus Ex: Mankind Divided is set in a world where in 2029, after the Aug incident which caused the death of millions, mankind stands divided.

The oppression of the mechanically augmented has created a climate of fear and resentment, resulting in an escalation of crime and acts of terror. Amid all the chaos, Adam Jensen goes after are the Illuminati, the men and women responsible for tearing the world apart. Armed with a new arsenal of state-of-the-art weapons and augmentations, he must choose the right approach, along with who to trust, in order to unravel a vast worldwide conspiracy.

Criminal Girls 2: Party Favors Introduces Kuroe in Latest Trailer

NIS America is continuing with their series of character introduction videos for Criminal Girls 2: Party Favors and this third video introduces the shy Kuroe Ise, who is yet another one of the game’s “Delinquent” girls that players must guide through the Hell Spire as part of the Reformation Program in an effort to cleanse them of their sins to and allow them to be reborn.

Kuroe is described as a very shy girl that is not good with interacting with others and usually talks to them through her doll named Baron. Beneath this gentle and quiet exterior lies an extreme talent for both offensive and healing magic.

Dishonored 2 Screenshots Released for Gamescom 2016

Those hoping for some major reveals for Dishonored 2 probably won’t be too satisfied with just a few screenshots but that is what Bethesda and Arkane Studios chose to release for Gamescom 2016, at least at the moment.

You can check out the new screenshots that focus on various aspects of the game below and as for the game itself, Dishonored 2 is set to be released on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Pc on November 11th and those who choose to pre-order the game from certain retailers will be given a free digital copy of the Dishonored: Definitive Edition that was released last year.

Mafia III “The Marcanos” Trailer Released

2K Games and Hangar 13 are approaching the end of their six video series of feature trailers for Mafia III and in this fifth video the company focuses on introducing the faces of the New Bordeaux Mafia, The Marcano family, led by Sal Marcano. This group has maintained a stranglehold on the city for as long as many can remember. Four brothers, bound to the mob their entire lives, are at a crossroads. Sal’s son, Giorgi, wants to help usher in a new era even now as Lincoln Clay tries to tear the old ways apart.

The King of Fighters XIV Introduces Team K and Team Women Fighters

With The King of Fighters XIV set to be released next week for the PlayStation 4 Atlus USA and SNK have chosen to double down on their team trailers and this means that the focus this time is on both Team K, made up of K, Maxima, and Kula Diamond, as well as Team Women Fighters with Mai Shranui, King, and the newcomer Alice making up that trio.

You can check out individual descriptions for each of the fighters and the team trailers below:

Team K

Maxima: Even though it’s called Team K’, Maxima is the leader of these former NESTS members. He has cybernetic enhancements that make his Type-M fighting style deadly. He and his team are dedicated to bringing NESTS down. His first The King of Fighters appearance was in The King of Fighters ‘99.

K’: K’ was captured by NESTS as a child and made part of the Kusanagi cloning program. This means he shares Kyo’s pyrokinesis abilities. NESTS also removed his memories. After Maxima infiltrated NESTS, he became his partner, and then eventually was able to defect. Like Maxima, he made his debut in The King of Fighters ‘99.

Kula Diamond: Kula was designed by NESTS to be the Anti-K, using her cryokinesis abilities to take down traitors. However, she too defected from the organization and allied with Maxima and K’. She first appeared in The King of Fighters 2000.

Team Women Fighters

Mai Shiranui: Mai is a ninja who first appeared in the Fatal Fury series and is a user of Shiranui-ryuu Ninjutsu. She has some firey attacks and techniques to match her personality. She’s hopelessly in love with Andy Bogard. Her first The King of Fighters appearance was in The King of Fighters ‘94.

King: King originally debuted in Art of Fighting, before joining The King of Fighters in The King of Fighters ‘94. She fights using Muay Thai. A Southtown resident, she disguised her identity and dressed as a man to protect herself. She’s allegedly interest in Ryo Sakazaki.

Alice: Alice is inspired by Alice Crysler, a background character in Real Bout Fatal Fury and The King of Fighters 2002. Currently, she’s a mascot for the Garou Densetsu: The Legend of Wild Wolf pachinko games. Alice is a big fan of Terry Bogard who wants to prove herself to her idol.

Dead Rising 4 Pre-Order Bonuses Announced

The Dead Rising series has always been known for using everything that isn’t nailed down as a weapon to slay the undead that are trying to eat you and as the series has progressed the weapons went from unconventional to incredibly silly and ridiculous. Today Microsoft and Capcom announced that they are going to be offering some retail exclusive pre-order bonuses for Dead Rising 4 that certainly fall into those latter two categories.

Those who pre-order the game from the Microsoft Store will net themselves large X-Fists that allow you to smash and bash your way through the zombie mayhem while equipped in an EXO Suit, GameStop is offering a Steampunk Snowman Head combo weapon that snowballs at zombies and freezes them in their tracks, Best Buy features a Candy Cane Crossbow that allows players to share their holiday spirit by firing candy canes at the zombies, and finally Amazon is offering the Slicecycle which is a combo chain saw motorcycle that has higher speed and strength to really tear through the zombie hordes.
