Nexon Releases 3D Puzzle Adventure Game, After the End: Forsaken Destiny™

A Mysterious Journey to Find a Path through an Extraordinary World Revealed in Launch Trailer. Available Across the World on the App Store for iPhone and iPad and Google Play for Android Devices for £3.99

EMERYVILLE, Calif. – March 2, 2017 – Nexon and developer Neople have launched After the End: Forsaken Destiny™, a 3D puzzle adventure game, to mobile devices worldwide. In After the End: Forsaken Destiny, players discover a breathtaking, ancient world rendered with shades of natural light, while embarking on the parallel journey of father and son, separated by time. With an extensive and varied set of 3D puzzles, After The End: Forsaken Destiny will immerse and challenge players to find solutions by creatively using the game’s 360-degree camera and freedom of character movement.  After the End: Forsaken Destiny can be downloaded for £3.99 on the App Store for iPhone and iPad and £3.89 on Google Play for Android devices.

“After The End’s variety in puzzle mechanics will challenge players to look beyond what they see on the surface, in order to find the correct path to move forward through this imaginative world we’ve created,” said Jaeeun Park, Producer at Neople. “We’ve created a simple yet stylized world for players to interact with as they explore the story between a father and son set across two time periods and told across 12 Episodes.”

In After the End: Forsaken Destiny, players will adventure across an expansive storyline spanning 12 Episodes. Throughout each Episode, players will encounter diverse puzzles which will become more difficult as new gameplay mechanics are introduced. Equipped with 360-degree camera and independent character movement controls, players will guide their hero(es) through evolving landscapes while utilizing varied touch control mechanics to overcome elaborate centerpiece puzzles.

“The talented team behind Dungeon Fighter Online at Neople has developed a visually stunning and bold puzzle adventure in After the End: Forsaken Destiny that is highly accessible but will still challenge the most skilled gamers,” said Lawrence Koh, General Manager at Nexon M. “At Nexon, it’s our goal to create truly unique and fun games and all of our global studios are pushing their creativity to new levels through experimentation on new concepts, gameplay and genres.”

Set across an array of detailed 3D environments, the vast ancient lands of After the End: Forsaken Destiny are bathed in natural light evocative of archaic architecture. Players will uncover the secrets of the world through an episodic story which spans two distinct timelines as a son embarks on a quest to find his father. Additional Episodes will be available later this year to continue the journey in After the End: Forsaken Destiny.

After the End: Forsaken Destiny can be downloaded on the AppStore for iPhone and iPad and on Google Play for Android devices. Players using iPhones or iPads can download an accompanying sticker pack featuring characters from the game for use in iMessage.

VR STUDIO MIDAS TOUCH GAMES LAUNCHES “TURBO POWERED” UPDATE TO ROBOT BRAWLER “FIST OF PHYSICS” ON HTC VIVE AND OCULUS RIFT, CELEBRATES BY SLASHING PRICE 50%

VR STUDIO MIDAS TOUCH GAMES LAUNCHES “TURBO POWERED” UPDATE TO ROBOT BRAWLER “FIST OF PHYSICS” ON HTC VIVE AND OCULUS RIFT, CELEBRATES BY SLASHING PRICE 50%

Players Can Take Advantage of Price Cut to $4.99 for 72 Hours (March 1-3, 2017)

PALO ALTO, CA (March 1, 2017) — Midas Touch Games, a groundbreaking VR studio and physics engine developer, today released a giant update to its robot brawler, Fist of Physics. The Steam Early Access game, which is playable on HTC Vive and Oculus Rift headsets, focuses on robot melee combat. This “turbo-powered” update introduces day/night cycles, deadly drones, and a terrifying new patriotic pugilist, Wall-4, to topple.

Fist of Physics uses Midas Touch Games’ cutting-edge VR physics engine (APE) and articulated character engine (ACE) to let players literally reach out and touch their opponent. There are no canned hit reactions or physically inaccurate responses that break immersion; every response and movement looks real and believable. Each opponent has a unique set of moves for the players to learn to anticipate and counter.

“We’ve gotten fantastic feedback from players during the first phase of our Early Access run on Steam, and this huge new patch makes for a richer, deeper play experience,” said Ethan Einhorn, the studio’s Director of Marketing & Publishing. “To get everyone in on the action, we are dropping the price of Fist of Physics by 50%, to only $4.99, from March 1st to March 3rd, 2017.”

The final game, to be released in mid-2017, is planned for release on HTC Vive, Oculus Rift, and PlayStation VR.

About Midas Touch Games:
After holding senior positions at Blizzard, Roblox, and Disney Interactive, Midas Touch Game CEO Kevin He had a unique vision for next-generation physics. Instead of focusing on box physics, as other solutions had in the past, Kevin felt that it was more important to improve joint physics, as well as the artificial intelligence that drives character movement. His vision has been realized in Fist of Physics, a robot beat-em-up featuring robot opponents that respond to attacks precisely as they would in real life, with no canned animations.

Microsoft Releasing Xbox Game Pass for Xbox One in Spring 2017

WARHAMMER 40,000: DAWN OF WAR III ENVIRONMENT SHOWCASE

As we gear up towards the release of Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War III, SEGA Europe Ltd. and Relic Entertainment invite you to experience a few of the mysterious locations that players will visit in the highly anticipated third installment of the RTS franchise.

Over the course of development, the Dawn of War team has focused on creating massive landscapes – not just to accommodate the huge scale of battle, but to elevate gameplay with destructible features, strategic depth, and nods to the rich 40K universe.

In this Environment Showcase trailer, Art Director Matt Kuzminski and Lead Environment Artist Tristan Brett speak to the inspiration and design process behind these spectacular, deadly worlds that will form the foundation of Dawn of War III, and act as a canvas for a new era of endless war.

These environments include:

  • Cyprus Ultima: Filled with details and history, Cyprus Ultima has a medieval style that expresses the war-ravaged way of life for people in the 41st millennium
  • Cage World: A true alien environment, Cage World’s ever-evolving landscape means the ground can literally shift beneath your feet, so you can never be sure where the battle will take you
  • Starfort: With massive structures towering over each battlefield, the scale of the weaponry on display in this gothic battle station is the ultimate in Imperium technology
  • Acheron: From first glance, where waves of lava clash against mountains of snow and ice, it’s clear that the elements aren’t all that’s at war on Acheron. Home to nothing but violence, the beautiful glaciers serve as frozen tombs for the battles of the past, and as the stage for some of the largest battles you’ll face in Dawn of War III
