You may have heard about a certain fan-made game that was shut down previously by the name of Resident Evil 2 Reborn, an unofficial remake of Resident Evil 2. Well that same team, Invader Studios as they are called, haven’t been at rest these past few years as they have instead created a brand new game.

Daymare 1998 as it is called, is described as being inspired by the terrifying experiences of true 1990’s survival horror games and has been crafted using Unreal Engine 4. To go along with this announcement the developers have released a trailer that you can check out below.

They have also provided a description of what to expect from the title and you can read that here: In the late 90s, the normally peaceful citizens of a small community in northwest America descend into sickening violence. With enemy designs by the legendary former Capcom designer, Satoshi Nakai, the physical and mental deformations that take place within the community are set to be both terrifying and shocking.

Atelier Sophie and Nights of Azure Announced for PC Release on February 7

Koei Tecmo has announced that the first titles from the developer Gust that will be available on PC through Steam are Atelier Sophie: The Alchemist of the Mysterious Book and Nights of Azure. Both of these games are meant to be released on PC on February 7th and at the moment the company has not stated how much these previously PlayStation exclusives will cost when released for the new platform.

For those unfamiliar with these titles, the company has given out the following descriptions of the story. Atelier Sophie: The Alchemist of the Mysterious Book follows the exploits of young novice Alchemist Sophie Neuenmuller, who discovers she is the owner of an enigmatic book imbued with a soul. This Mysterious Book seems to hold all the secrets to the art of Alchemy, even going on to become Sophie’s mentor. As Sophie experiments with Alchemy throughout the story she unravels the book’s forgotten memories and eventually sets out to uncover the strange tale of its origin.

Nights of Azure tells a tragic tale of two friends faced with impossible decisions that will test their loyalty to their quest – and to each other. In the kingdom of Ruswal, very few people leave their homes after nightfall, let alone have the strength and skill to take on the powerful, azure-blooded demons that plague the island. One of the best among these brave few is Arnice, a knight of great skill and power, who is assisted by her friend and priestess Lilysse in a quest to rid the land of these monsters. However, they soon find out that the solution to the island’s problems might not be as simple as defeating enemies in battle.

They do however have a set of new screenshots showing off both of these games running on PC and you can check those out below.

AFL Evolution Announced for PS4, Xbox One and PC

The first AFL game for next generation consoles has been announced, with AFL Evolution sporting a first half of 2017 release date. Not much information was give on the game but we know it will be coming to PS4, Xbox One and PC and is being created by Wicked Witch Software who have worked on the AFL franchise before with AFL Live and it’s sequel. Both games received mild critical reception but it’s important to understand that the game of footy is a hard one to translate into video game form.

AFL Evolution will strictly focus on the men’s side of the game and is putting a lot more effort into in game player recreation, with AFL players from all 18 AFL clubs (it is unclear if that includes all players) doing photo shoots, with 24 cameras used to simultaneously photograph the players in order to create highly detailed likenesses within the game.

Check out this link to the official AFL page for your chance to vote on who you think the cover star should be, although unless you’re voting for Bontempelli I wouldn’t bother as he already has it locked up.

Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 Big Free Patch Out Now, DLC Pack 2 Leaked

Patch 1.05 for Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 was the big patched that was promised for December 20th but it seems to have come early on both the PS4 and Xbox One (with the Steam version once again screwed over with a coming soon message). Below are the patch notes right from the update history. In addition to what is listed below I also noticed Saiyan race created characters now have a new line of dialogue when going Super Saiyan 3.

1.05
-Adjusted game balance

1.04
-Implemented a new online event “Frieza’s Siege Event”
-Implemented a new event to raise the level cap
-Implemented a special area to call out for participants for player and team match
-Added the room search function for online expert mission in the online PQ reception (for some reason it says online twice in the latter part of that sentence)
-Improved map UI
-Added voice of Future Trunks
-Implemented contents of free update
-Implemented contents of “Dragon Ball Super Pack 1”
-Adjusted battle balance
-Other minor bug fixes

Also added but not mentioned there was was the inclusion of new variations of Hit and Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan Goku. Hit gains access to his Rapid Improvement technique that seems to include counters and Goku gains access to Kaioken and Kaioken x 10 while in his transformed state, just like in the Universe 6 vs Universe 7 arc of Dragon Ball Super.

DLC Pack 1 will drop on the 20th of December but thanks to a recent V-Jump leak we now have confirmation on two characters that will appear in DLC Pack 2. Champa, the God of Destruction from Universe 6 and his lovely assistant Vados will be making their playable video game debuts in Xenoverse 2. It will sure be interesting to see what they do with Vados as she hasn’t been involved in any combat at all in the entire series and even Champa has had only brief moments of fighting. No date or other information is provided with these scans as of yet.

UPDATE: Bandai Namco have released a trailer showcasing the content of the DLC and also released a promo of their own revealing Champa and Vados alongside other characters that will be included in the Season Pass in one of the future packs. This includes Super Saiyan Rose Black, Super Saiyan Blue Vegito and Zamasu. Judging by the … more is still to come.
