EXPERIENCE A CLASSIC POKÉMON TALE INSPIRED BY POKÉMON GO WHEN POKÉMON: LET’S GO, PIKACHU! AND POKÉMON: LET’S GO, EEVEE! LAUNCH ON NINTENDO SWITCH TODAY

EXPERIENCE A CLASSIC POKÉMON TALE INSPIRED BY POKÉMON GO WHEN POKÉMON: LET’S GO, PIKACHU! AND POKÉMON: LET’S GO, EEVEE! LAUNCH ON NINTENDO SWITCH TODAY

Explore the Kanto region with a friend or go solo, use the Poké Ball Plus to catch dozens of varied Pokémon, and connect to the Pokémon GO app to transfer Pokémon

16th November, 2018 – Take Pikachu or Eevee on an adventure across the Kanto region and prepare to catch Pokémon with streamlined catching gameplay inspired by Pokémon GO when Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Pokémon: Let’s Go, Eevee! launch today on Nintendo Switch.

With over 300 million Pokémon games sold worldwide to date, and more than 800 million downloads of Pokémon GO, the Pokémon phenomenon that came to Australia and New Zealand in 1998 is set to get even stronger with today’s launch of Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Pokémon: Let’s Go, Eevee! These two new mainline Pokémon games are available exclusively for Nintendo Switch, the unique home console from Nintendo that can be played anywhere, anytime, with anyone, which has passed 22 million consoles sold worldwide.

Players of Pokémon GO will be able to transfer select Pokémon caught in the real world to their Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Pokémon: Let’s Go, Eevee! game by connecting their smart device to the Nintendo Switch console via Bluetooth Low Energy connection.

Enjoy the story and find out where it all began

With these new titles’ accessible gameplay, Pokémon players from the series’ 20-year history, and anyone who discovered the series through Pokémon GO, are all invited to become a Pokémon Trainer in a classic Pokémon story. Beginning their journey in Pallet Town, players will meet, catch, and raise many Pokémon on their journey to become the best Pokémon Trainer that they can be. In a story based on Pokémon Yellow: Special Pikachu Edition brought to the living room in high definition, players will need to work with their partner Pikachu or partner Eevee to thwart the dastardly plans of Team Rocket, who wish to take advantage of Pokémon for their nefarious ends. Even after the story ends, there’s more to do, with the challenge of battling skilled Master Trainers, trying to catch all 151 Pokémon, and more. Plus, any Pokémon originally discovered in the Kanto region caught in Pokémon GO can be transferred to Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Pokémon: Let’s Go, Eevee!

Invite a friend to join the adventure anytime, anywhere

Friends and family can get in on the fun and give a helping hand with the Support Play feature. For example, with this feature it’s possible for two siblings to explore the world together using a single Joy-Con and a Poké Ball Plus (or a single Joy-Con each) – they can even both have a Pokémon travel alongside them as well. In battles, both players will be able to control a Pokémon and issue it commands, giving them the upper hand, while they can boost their chances of catching wild Pokémon by throwing Poké Balls at the same time. And with the benefits of the Nintendo Switch console, friends and family alike can play on their TV at home or take it with them on their travels to catch Pokémon together anytime, anywhere.

Catch Pokémon like never before with the Poké Ball Plus

For the first time in the Pokémon series, players can grab a Poké Ball Plus to catch Pokémon with a simple throwing action just like a Pokémon Trainer would. The Poké Ball Plus is a Poké Ball-shaped device that can be used to play and catch Pokémon in Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Pokémon: Let’s Go, Eevee! in place of the Joy-Con. In addition to having motion controls, the Poké Ball and players will actually feel it rumble and hear the Pokémon inside – it feels like you really caught a Pokémon.

The Poké Ball Plus is also compatible with Pokémon GO, so while connected, players no longer need to look at their phone to know if a Pokémon appears nearby. Pressing the button on Poké Ball Plus throws a Poké Ball, and the device will light up and vibrate to let players know if their catch was successful. As long as Poké Ball Plus is connected to players’ smartphones, it’ll also measure the distance they travel, so they can hatch eggs or get candy from their buddy Pokémon.

Connect to Pokémon Go for even more fun

There is a deep connection between Pokémon GO and Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Pokémon: Let’s Go, Eevee!, as Pokémon originally discovered in the Kanto region that players have caught in Pokémon GO can be brought into these two new Nintendo Switch games.

The GO Park complex is where players’ Pokémon will arrive after syncing their Pokémon GO game with Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! or Pokémon: Let’s Go, Eevee! It’s here where players will be able to see their Pokémon running around and having fun. There’s no limit to the number of Pokémon GO accounts that can be tied to a single save file in Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! or Pokémon: Let’s Go, Eevee! which means players are not limited to connecting with just their own Pokémon GO account – they can get Pokémon from friends and family, too.

Join Pikachu or Eevee on an adventure across the Kanto region and catch Pokémon in a whole new way when Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Pokémon: Let’s Go, Eevee! launch today on Nintendo Switch. Experience a classic Pokémon story and catch Pokémon with the Poké Ball Plus controller, while it’s possible to transfer Pokémon caught with Pokémon GO to both Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Pokémon: Let’s Go, Eevee! game.

New Hunt: Showdown Map Enters Beta Phase for Update 3.0

New Hunt: Showdown Map Enters Beta Phase for Update 3.0

Lawson Delta beta and skill-based matchmaking kick off Update 3.0

FRANKFURT, Germany Nov. 15, 2018 – Today Crytek announced the release of Update 3.0 for the early access first-person multiplayer bounty hunting game Hunt: Showdown. The update contains NVIDIA highlights, as well as many changes intended to improve the overall user experience, the biggest of which are the additions of a new Louisiana map—called Lawson Delta—for beta testing and skill-based matchmaking.

The Lawson Delta map debuted at TwitchCon 2018, and the new map also contains a brand-new Time of Day setting: Daylight. Under the unforgivingly bright light of the afternoon sun, players will need more stealth than ever to succeed. The updated skill-based matchmaking system is based on the Elo rating used in chess and should solve many of the past issues players have experienced. Update 3.0 also includes free tier 1 Hunters (replacing Tier 0 Hunters—and equipped with gear that cannot be resold), weapons-looting, a cash register sandbox feature, and one new weapon: the Nagant Officer Brawler. Via the addition of NVIDIA Highlights, players will also be able to capture and share their most exciting moments from the match.

Alongside Update 3.0, Crytek has released a new Hunt developer diary, in which Hunt team members explore the thought process behind the creation of Lawson Delta. “We wanted to make sure that the compound locations and their positions made sense in the world—that they didn’t just exist somewhere because we needed them there, but because that is where they would naturally have been built,” says Level Design Director Chris Auty. With geographical realism in mind, the team began to flesh out the map, and the developer diary takes a deeper look at this process, while the footage gives players a closer look at some of the new map’s compounds.

About Hunt: Showdown

Hunt: Showdown is a competitive first-person bounty hunting game with heavy PvE elements from the makers of Crysis. Set in the darkest corners of the world, it packs the thrill of survival games into a match-based format. Hunt’s competitive, match-based gameplay mixes PvP and PvE elements to create a uniquely tense experience. Each match pits up to ten players—playing solo or in teams of two—against each other as they fight for bounty by taking out gruesome monsters in the swamps of Louisiana. Once they’ve found and defeated one of these they will receive a bounty—and instantly become a target for every other Hunter left on the map. The higher the risk, the higher the reward–but a single mistake could cost everything. Hunt is available now on Steam. For more information, visit https://www.huntshowdown.com/.

Sword-Punk Sandbox RPG ‘Kenshi’ Opens its Huge Post-Apocalyptic Samurai World in December

Sword-Punk Sandbox RPG ‘Kenshi’ Opens its Huge Post-Apocalyptic Samurai World in December

‘Very Positive’ Steam Rating – Thousands of ‘Recommended’ Reviews

Bristol, UK – November 15, 2018: After 12 years of development (including 4 in Early Access) Kenshi, the single player RPG set in a vast and atmospheric ‘Sword-Punk’ style open world, launches for PC on Thursday 6 December 2018.

Kenshi’s expansive mix of RPG elements, squad-based control and city-building features have earned it thousands of Recommended Steam reviews and Very Positive overall and recent scores. Kenshi’s gameplay is completely free-roaming and open: enjoy the freedom and potential to do whatever you want.

Set in an unrelenting world of bloodthirsty cannibals, starving bandits, brutal slavers and wild beasts, survival alone is a gruelling struggle… You are not the chosen one. You’re not great and powerful. You don’t have more ‘hit points’ than everyone else. You are not the centre of the universe, and you are not special. Unless you work for it.

“I don’t like being told what to do or how to play”, says Chris Hunt, CEO and head developer of Lo-Fi Games. “I don’t want to be given quests, I don’t want to be given a pre-made character that’s already kinda stronger than everyone else to start with. What fun is that? What I really love in a game is when you can take a nameless, weak character under your wing and train them up until they’re the strongest character you have”.

“All the games that really inspired me were the disappointments. You know when you see an announcement for a game, and it seems like your dream game! You can’t wait for it, you imagine all the things you’re gonna do, how you’re going to play it – then it comes out, and you play it, and it’s the most disappointing piece of dumbed-down mindless trash ever. Or maybe just not what you expected. Every time that has happened to me, I became a better game developer, and gained more inspiration to work harder”.

“I just made Kenshi because I wanted to play it, and if loads of people don’t like it, screw it. I think that’s the best attitude to have if you want to make something great, because you’re not trying to please everyone or tone things down”.

What is Kenshi?

  • Open-ended sandbox RPG – Totally freeform gameplay with no linear story and no level requirements to unlock new items and features. Be good, be evil, be a businessman, be a thief, live in a town, live in the desert, travel alone, travel in hordes, build a fortress, raze a city – Kenshi will never seek to limit you or restrict your personal play style.
  • The largest RPG world since Daggerfall – With no gated zones and a seamless map stretching over 870 square kilometres.
  • Mods to customise your characters and surroundings – A highly active player community already with over 1,500 fan-made mods to personalise your playthrough.
  • Detailed squad-based gameplay – Create, recruit and develop multi-character squads and factions from scratch.
  • Build a base to house your squad – Research new technologies, upgrade your defences and craft new gear.
  • Unashamedly hardcore – Harsh and unforgiving game world of constant challenge and reward. There are no ‘hero’ characters with artificially stronger stats.
  • Absolutely no level-scaling – The world does not level up with you and shops don’t change their items depending on your level.
  • Realistic medical system brings surprising survival gameplay – Damage location matters (leg injuries slow you down, arm injuries limit ability to fight), injuries take time to heal, no magical health potions exist and severed limbs need prosthetic replacements.
  • Aid or oppose the various factions in the world – Form alliances or start wars. Strive for the strength and wealth necessary to survive in the harsh desert.

Assets and info

Kenshi will be released on Steam ($29.99 / £22.99 / €26.99 / ¥3500) for all countries on Thursday 6 December 2018.

About Lo-Fi Games – Kenshi’s Development Story

Chris Hunt, founder of Lo-Fi Games, spent his early 20s working as a game programmer but hated working on small cash-cow projects which felt like a waste of time. So he left, and spent the next 9 years working on Kenshi. During daylight hours Chris worked on the game full-time, then as the sun went down drove a windowless car to start his night shift as a security guard.

After being Greenlit on Steam’s Early Access in 2013, Kenshi raised enough money to fund a small team. Hiring an unlikely ensemble including a Bollywood TV extra, a unicycling hockey player and an ex-circus performer who refuses to wear shoes, development of Kenshi ramped up considerably.

Piece of cake, isn’t it?

About Tripwire Interactive

Gamers want games that grab their attention and will keep them coming back for more. Tripwire has been producing those types of games since the first Red Orchestra mod that won the “Make Something Unreal” competition in 2004. Since then Tripwire has won numerous Multiplayer and FPS Game of the Year awards from top editorial sites—and millions have played a Red Orchestra or Killing Floor game, with an average play time of over 40 hours, per player, per game! Since it first launched for PC in 2009, Killing Floor has sold over five million units worldwide. Tripwire has published select 3rd-party titles (The Ball, Zeno Clash, Dwarfs?!), supported each title with free extra content and taken their brand of winning gaming to console, to continuously expand that base. Tripwire will continue to offer new and exciting gaming experiences both to their millions of fans and to new gamers alike—including Killing Floor 2 for PC, PlayStation®4, PlayStation®4 Pro, Xbox One, and Xbox One X, Rising Storm 2: Vietnam for PC, Killing Floor: Incursion for Oculus Touch and HTC VIVE in 2017—along with PlayStation®VR and Windows Mixed Reality in 2018. In addition to developing their own games Tripwire announced a new publishing division at E3 2018 designed to help other independent studios bring their games to market through a truly collaborative publishing model. Road Redemption by EQ Games and Pixel Dash Studios for PC, PlayStation®4, PlayStation®4 Pro, Xbox One, Xbox One X, and Nintendo Switch will be the first game to come from the new publishing arm in Fall 2018 and Maneater for PC will be coming in 2019. Tripwire also recently announced a partnership with Digital Lode to bring Espire 1: VR Operative to VR platforms in 2019.
