Skorecery will be Summoned to PlayStation 4 on 5 Feb 2019

NORFOLK, VA – 8 January 2019 – Independent developer GrappleHook Games has announced that Skorecery, the mystical arcade sportslike, will launch exclusively on PlayStation 4 on 5 February 2019.

Modernizing and paying homage to some of gaming’s most iconic genres and arcade hits, Skorecery combines retro classics like Pong and Breakout with the excitement and depth from popular platform fighters. Players must harness Spells and precise controls to destroy their opponent’s Runes while also protecting their own. Up to 4 local sorcerers can battle for supremacy in fast-paced and engaging skirmishes.

Players must race to gain control of the Arena’s ball to fire away at their opponent’s Runes. The sorcerer with the most Runes at the end of the match will be crowned as the victor. Before facing off, magic wielders must choose from a diverse selection of Spells that can be used to alter their running speed, create barriers, and more. These offensive and defensive abilities can be used to secure the lead or save your team from near defeat. With simple-to-learn controls and deep mechanics, Skorecery is built for players of all skill levels and a natural fit for both friendly gatherings and competitive tournaments. Match rules are fully customizable, allowing creative players to select the layout of the Arena as well as modify the physics of the ball and player’s abilities. Skorecery also boasts 4 distinct Modes for those that want to get straight into the action.

Skorecery’s Key Features:

  • Friendly and competitive local multiplayer battles with gameplay that takes seconds to learn and countless hours to master
  • Fast-paced and tense duels, team skirmishes, and free-for-all matches
  • Vast variety of Spells, Modes, and Arena layouts for infinite replayability
  • Game-modifying Curses that allow players to change rules of the match, physics, and abilities
  • Intricately designed audio dynamics that adjust to match intensity

“While easy to pick up and play, Skorecery’s tight controls and fast action quickly turn a casual experience into a competitive one,” says Eric Peterson, co-founder of GrappleHook Games. “But beyond that tight core, we wanted to give players the tools to experiment and push those mechanics. Spells, Modes and Curses work in combination to do just that.”

Prepare for Skorecery’s mystical multiplayer mayhem by heading to its official website or follow GrappleHook Games on Twitter and Facebook.

BECOME A MASTER OF EARTHLY FORCES WITH THE ELEMENTALIST CLASS IN BREACH

BECOME A MASTER OF EARTHLY FORCES WITH THE ELEMENTALIST CLASS IN BREACH

Not all the classes in Breach, the upcoming action-RPG from QC Games, utilize dark or mystical magic to defeat enemies – some draw upon the powers of the Earth to bring down foes and protect their team. The latest video from QC Games highlights the Elementalist class – a member of the Arcane school of magic that draws its power from elements in nature.

The Elementalist uses elements of nature such as fire, wind, water and ice to cast damaging spells. Utilize Quake to send shockwaves at your enemies, knocking them off their feet.  Or look towards the sky and summon a massive meteor onto your opponents, dealing fire damage and literally rocking their world. Elementalists can also up the defensive measures by casting an Aqueous Globe protective field that blocks projectiles and reduces damage to allies.

Watch the Breach Elementalist trailer:

Special Breach pre-order packages are available starting at $24.99 – players can visit PlayBreach.com and take advantage of exclusive offers from the various pre-order packs that include Steam Early Access, and unique in-game items like sprays, dance emotes, a digital artbook, and much more.

Alpha Testing for Breach continues this weekend, beginning at 12 PM CST on Friday January 4 and ending at 11 PM CST on Sunday January 6. Players who wish to join in on the fun can register at PlayBreach.com.

Breach will enter paid Steam Early Access later this January 2019 with the Free-To-Play full launch in 2019. Can’t wait to prep your mission loadouts and squad combinations? PAX South 2019: 1C Entertainment Lineup Showcases Compelling RPG and RTS Titles

Media and Gamers Invited to Booth #10220 for Hands-on Play with Fell Seal: Arbiter’s Mark, Re-Legion, Eternity: The Last Unicorn, and Stygian: Reign of the Old Ones 1C Entertainment, a global PC and console games publisher, today unveiled its PAX South lineup of four highly anticipated roleplaying and strategy titles for PC and console platforms, giving gamers a reason to look forward to PAX South starting on Friday, January 18. Each of the titles has a unique hook and style that simultaneously embraces the gameplay strengths of classic titles while looking forward with new twists and innovations. The acclaimed Fell Seal: Arbiter’s Mark (PC, XB1, PS4) will showcase the latest build of the new fantasy and steampunk influenced turn-based tactical RPG game, and the innovative Cyberpunk PC strategy game, Re-Legion (PC), will also be showing a brand-new build for the first time. The developers of the unique action RPG, Eternity: The Last Unicorn (PC, XB1, PS4), will present a new build and be available for interviews, as will the team behind the 2D Lovecraftian horror RPG, Stygian: Reign of the Old Ones (PC, Mac, Linux), which will be shown in the US for the first time ever.   All four games sit in 1C Entertainment’s sweet spot of roleplaying, strategy, and action with a focus on the features—and gameplay—that matter to gamers. Attending media and content creators are encouraged to book specific appointment times to guarantee access and attention, and full details can be found below.     1C Entertainment at PAX South 2019 Details   WHO: 1C Entertainment is a recognized global PC and console games publisher with offices in Europe and Russia. The growing company has launched over 100 games including acclaimed titles like 2018’s Ancestors Legacy and Deep Sky Derelicts, making it one of the largest publishers and distributors in Eastern and Central Europe. Demos will be conducted by—and interviews are available with—representatives from 1C Entertainment and developers as noted below.     WHERE: PAX South 2019 in San Antonio, Texas at the 1C Entertainment Booth, #10220.     WHAT: 1C Entertainment is hosting attendees at PAX South 2019 to showcase four highly anticipated upcoming RPG and RTS titles via hands on play for the following PC and console games:   Fell Seal: Arbiter’s Mark (PC, XB1, PS4 | Spring 2019) – The latest build of the story-driven, turn-based tactical RPG set in a fantasy world with a touch of steampunk will be shown. In the game, which is currently available on Early Access with a 93% “Very Positive” rating on Steam, players will control the Arbiter Kyrie, an agent of the Immortal Council tasked with preserving stability and order throughout the land. Paying homage to tactical RPG classics (Rock, Paper Shotgun compared it to Final Fantasy Tactics), the game stands on its own as a worthy successor, bringing a slew of refinements through thoughtful development and helpful player feedback obtained in Early Access.
Re-Legion (PC | Q1 2019) – A new demo of the upcoming cyberpunk-style real time strategy game will provide a unique single-player experience. Played from a classic isometric, top-down view, the game allows players to become a prophet in a futuristic technocratic society where they can define their own belief system, convert citizens into Adepts, and upgrade them into fighting units to rid the city of non-believers. Belief itself becomes the game’s key resource, allowing for a unique strategy game with philosophical undertones—rather “like Syndicate with cults instead of corporations,” as PC Gamer described it.   Eternity: The Last Unicorn (PC, XB1, PS4 | Q1 2019) – A new demo of the unique action RPG inspired by tales of Norse mythology and the mechanics of classic games will be available. Players will encounter lush locations and striking fantasy characters as Aurehen, a young Elf, who undertakes a quest to free the last surviving Unicorn that protects Elven immortality. Developers from Void Studios will be available for live interviews and playthroughs.
Stygian: Reign of the Old Ones (PC, Mac, Linux | 2019) – A roleplaying game of horror, loss, and madness set in the strange worlds of HP Lovecraft. The game offers mix of rich RPG world building and turn-based tactical combat, represented in an illustrative 2D visual style that manages to be both quaint and terrifying. Developers from Cultic Games will be on hand for interviews and to curate the game’s first demos in the US.
WHEN: PAX South show hours; January 18-20, 10 AM–6 PM daily with 30 and 60-minute appointments available.     WHY: 1C has a growing reputation for delivering satisfying RPG, strategy, and action titles for PC and console players. The four titles shown at PAX South presage an exciting year for the company, with every game exhibiting its own strengths with a look to the future as well as the past. From a new take on classic turn-based roleplaying with Fell Seal to an innovative strategy game relying on converting human followers in Re-Legion to a throwback action-RPG with Eternity or Stygian’s madness-fueled, 2D horror RPG gameplay, 1C has a game experience for players of every stripe.

RPG Maker MV Delayed in the West

It looks like NIS America has encountered some trouble with RPG Maker MV as the publisher has announced that the game’s Western release date has been pushed back to an unknown date. Originally planned to be released on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Switch on February 26th the game is now slated to be released sometime in 2019.

According to NIS America the delay has occured “due to ongoing issues with development” and they have apologized for “the inconvenience caused to all those who are looking forward to this game, and we are taking action in order to deliver the best possible product to our fans.” It is interesting to note that while the PlayStation 4 and Switch versions of the game were released in Japan back on November 15th, the Xbox One version was delayed to winter 2019 in that region as well.
