Rebecca Chambers and Barry Burton Join the Resident Evil 5 Gold Edition Mercenaries Reunion!

I don’t know about you guys but I’m very excited about the Capcom announcement that we’re going to be getting TWO classic Resident Evil 1 characters : Barry Burton & the beautiful Rebecca Chamber, both will appear in the upcoming Mercenaries Reunion mode in Resident Evil 5 : GOLD Edition !

Not only can you relive the terror of Spencer’s mansion in LOST IN NIGHTMARES, but now you take control of iconic characters from Resident Evil past. Making their return from the original Resident Evil, Alpha Team’s weapon specialist Barry Burton and the sole surviving member of Bravo Team, rookie Rebecca Chambers, are back to join the cast of THE MERCENARIES REUNION. Both of these classic S.T.A.R.S. members come equipped with their own customized weapon load-outs and will be strong allies as you gun down enemies, chain together kill combos, and rack up the points. THE MERCENARIES REUNION mode provides hours of additional gameplay whether you’re going solo or partnering up with a friend to take on endless waves of enemies.

New Lost Planet 2 Screenshots Show Marcus, Dom, and Wesker

DO NOT ADJUST your monitors, this isn’t a dream: Resident Evil, Lost Planet, and Gears of War have joined forced to destroy the EVIL that is on E.D.N III.

This is certainly a first in video game history that three iconic characters have come together and the real winners here are the gamers as they will be able to select them as playable skins in either the campaign or versus modes.

The Undead Will Rise Again This Summer

London, UK – February 11th, 2010 – Capcom, a leading worldwide developer and publisher of video games, today confirmed that Dead Rising 2, the highly anticipated sequel to the multi-million selling Dead Rising, will be released in Europe on September 3rd, in North America on August 31st and Japan on September 2nd for the Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system, PlayStation® 3 and PC platforms.

Furthermore Capcom is also pleased to announce that Xbox 360 gamers will be able to get an exclusive taste of Dead Rising 2’s signature gameplay with the release of its downloadable prologue, Dead Rising 2: CASE ZERO. Available as downloadable content only on Xbox LIVE® shortly before release of the full game, Dead Rising 2: CASE ZERO, will introduce main protagonist and former motocross champion Chuck Greene and provide a link between the original game and the events that await players in the gambling paradise of Fortune City.

Dead Rising 2: CASE ZERO was formally announced at Microsoft’s global media event, X10, which took place earlier today, in San Francisco. Attending media were able to experience the latest demo of Dead Rising 2. In addition to giving media the opportunity to explore the zombie infested casino, stores and other attractions on Fortune City’s North Strip, this demo also introduced a brand new feature – the ability for players to create improvised weapons by combining two items.

PURE CREATIVE GENIUS !! The Last Story is going to be Brilliant !!

When you look at a cloud, what do you see. Can you make things out, like an apple, a car, a person etc. Well Hironobu Sakaguchi-san the creative genius and founder of Mistwalker Studios who will be unleashing “The Last Story” upon the world soon for the Nintendo Wii saw this amazing image from a photo he took in the morning as the sun was rising over the horizon, it’s first rays of the day blended with the dull grey clouds breathing life into them and creating a most memorable illusion of a magnificent Golden Dragon with its head bowed down towards the Earth as if it is watching over us.

If this is what Sakaguchi-san can do with a simple cloud, imagine what we can only expect from The Last Story.

Microsoft to host X10 Event tomorrow in San Francisco

The last “X” event Microsoft hosted was back in 2006 “X06” Now it’s BACK !! Microsoft will be show casing all their major titles at X10 tomorrow : Feb 11th 2010 in San Francisco, CA.

Things to watch out for will be Project Natal which has been announced will be hitting our living rooms Christmas 2010.

Other major titles show cased will be :: “Alan Wake,” “Crackdown 2,” “Fable III,” “Halo: Reach,” “Splinter Cell Conviction,” “Final Fantasy XIII,” “Toy Soldiers,” “Game Room on Xbox LIVE”, “Left 4 Dead 2 Game Add-ons”

It should be a spectacular event. Pity we can’t make our way over as we’re all the down here in Sydney Australia. Maybe one day we might get some loving and have our own special event that entire world comes to see. We could call it the “Skippy Game Show” Along with games we can have wild Kangaroo’s, Emu’s, Tasmanian Devil’s Koala Bears and Dingo’s running around mauling everyone whilst their playing and trying out the latest games. Someone will surely come up with the catch phrase … A DINGO STOLE MY CONTROLLER !!

Yakuza 3’s Pre-order Bonuses

Playstation Blog announced today some Pre-Order bonus goodies when you pre-order Sega’s Yakuza 3 that’s coming VERY soon to a playstation 3 near you. I don’t know why I keep saying this but this game looks soooo damn similar to Shenmue it’s not funny. I desperately want Sega to deliver the goods and finish the final chapter of Shenmue, but for now I think Yakuza 3 will have to do.

Who else thinks the same ? Anyway before I ramble off here is what u get when you pre-order Shen.. I mean Yakuza 3 😉

4 pieces of DLC will be packed into the game via a special code card. This will allow players access to the following content:

• Battle for Survival – Take on all the bosses of Yakuza 3 as Kazuma
• All-Star Tournament (7 character tournament)
• All-Star Tag Tournament (8 team tournament)
• Haruka’s Request – This unique series of challenge missions will send you on a task of exploration throughout the entire Yakuza world, playing mini-games and entertaining Haruka.

In addition to this, Yakuza fans who pre-order the game at their local GameStop will receive additional content via the Challenge Pack. This will allow them to enjoy 2-player mini games, competing against their friends at Pool, Bowling, Darts and Golf. They will also be able to customize their principle characters with four alternative costumes for Kazuma, Haruka and Rikiya.

Call Of Duty 7 ?

A lot of rumors are flying around at the moment regarding the next Call Of Duty. From what we’ve heard, Activision will continue to churn out the Call Of Duty series every year. So far no official name has been set but it’s been given the label of Call Of Duty 7.

Once again the reigns will be handed over to Treyarch. I don’t know why they don’t just leave it with Infinity Ward this hopping back and forth between developers is silly im my opinion. But hey it’s only my opinion. Don’t get me wrong Treyarch do make and have made great games in the past, but who else agrees that the COD / MW series should be handled by ONE developer not two ?

Anyway not much in location or game details is available at the moment but once again rumors say that it may take place in Vietnam or Cuba. Which one would you guys prefere ? I’d probably like to see it set in Cuba, and PLEASE NO jungles !!

Call Of Duty 7 will hopefully make is away into our grubby little hands this November 2010.
