God Of War III Ultimate Trilogy Edition – Contents Video Review

G’day everyone. MasterAbbott is back for another one of his Limited Edition UNBOXINGs. I love unboxing stuff !! Today we have the newly released Santa Monica Studios masterpiece for Sony Playstation 3 – God Of War III Ultimate Trilogy Edition.  This by far one of the nicest limited editions I’ve come across in quite some time but still MasterAbbott is a hard man to please when it comes to what you get for your money in terms of quantity and quality.

Check out the video review below and see for yourself.

Image of contents

The God Of War III Ultimate Trilogy Edition is priced at WAIT FOR IT … $249.99 AUS which as always is WAY WAY TOO Much compared to what the rest of the normal gaming world pays for video games.  So I have to say that unless your a true HARD CORE God Of War III fan I wouldn’t recommend it.  If you just want to play the game then stick to the regular edition for a far cheaper price.

Content Review : 6.5 Capsules Out Of 10

Purchase only if your a true God Of War fan and want the extra little things such as God of War 1 and 2 remastered onto one blu-ray and also the sound track to all 3 games.

Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep coming to America this Summer

A few months after Jesse McCartney, the American voice of Sora, leaked this in twitter;

Recording yet another Kingdom Hearts Game. All you Gamers eat your heart out! Man what a process tho. First recordin was in 2005 for game 1.

Square Enix has finally addressed that Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep will be coming to American shores “this Summer.” This game is supposedly a prequel to all the current Kingdom Hearts games, adding yet more backstory to the origins of the heartless and Organization XIII, yet not extending the story past Kingdom Hearts 2.

Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep is exclusively for the PSP. You will be playing through as three different main characters named; Terra, Ventus, and Aqua. Only one of which has made any type of appearance before in the past games. Expect even more Disney worlds and characters to make an appearance as well. The announcement reveals Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, and Lilo and Stitch being linked to this game.

The released story so far can be read below;

Long before Sora was chosen by his Keyblade, the worlds’ safety lay in the hands of Keyblade Masters. Three youths — Terra, Ventus, and Aqua — have been training long and hard under Master Eraqus to prove that they, too, exhibit the Mark of Mastery. But they will soon find themselves in the middle of a crisis affecting worlds far beyond their own—just as another Keyblade Master, Xehanort, goes mysteriously missing.

Three friends, three destinies. Everything will link back to the beginning.

Sounds quite interesting, though I am still disapointed that they have yet to expand on the actual storyline and continue to focus on the beginning and the middle. Though they’ve also only been focusing on portable titles, instead of a console release, so that could also be the reason. Anyone else feel differently about this?

Dragon Age: Origins – Awakening rises to shelves tomorrow!

The brand new Dragon Age: Origins release is just around the corner. Dragon Age: Origins – Awakening is a complete expansion to the original Dragon Age: Origins, taking place months after the battle at the finale of the previous game.

This expansion will include a completely different storyline, with five new party members and an old face making a return. As well as increasing the level cap from the previous game, adding in new skills, abilities, brand new items, and a new origin story. The expansion will also offer the ability to import your previous character from Dragon Age: Origins. However no DLC equipment or skills will be imported alongside your character, and since this occurs after Origins, you may not take your character back in time to play DLC from Origins.

The story revolves around the gray wardens and their attempt to rebuild the order after the end of the blight. However the darkspawn are not gone, and suddenly they have grown more intelligent, able of speech and planning. With new members and a new origin story, you must travel forth as one of the sole gray wardens left alive to do battle with this unknown foe known only as the “Architect”

This expansion pack to the original DA:O will run at the price of $39.99, and can be played as a stand alone title for the 360 and the PS3, however requires DA:O to be previously installed on the PC version of the game.

Personally I am quite excited about this. After playing through DA:O multiple times, playing this extension should be amazing. Plus I can’t wait to see who the returning character from DA:O will be. It’ll be interesting to see how long the story will turn out to be, and when the time comes for Dragon Age: Origins 2, or possibly “Dragon Age: The Middle,” will our choices and actions in this expansion also be reflected? Or will it be completely stand alone.

Splinter Cell: Conviction Demo coming tomorrow to Xbox Live!

Ubisoft is releasing a Splinter Cell: Conviction demo onto the Xbox Live marketplace tomorrow! Leading up to the game’s upcoming release on April 13th.

The demo will only spoil a small amount of the game so I would really recommend giving the demo a download. For it has been told that the demo will show many new features added to Conviction that are different from the past Splinter Cell games.

Alex Parizeau, one of the producers for SC: Conviction was quoted saying:

“The biggest thing you’ll see when playing the demo is the change of pace. The stealth-action dynamic is fast paced and very different from the past.”

It seems that the game has been given an extreme reboot and will involve much more action, and less stealth. With combinations of the two coming into play. Let us know what you think of the demo when you get it guys? Do you like the way the series is going, or do you prefer how it used to be?

Aliens vs Predator’s first map pack DLC unleashed

6

Did you buy the normal version of Alien vs Predator only to realize that the special edition came with four special DLC maps that were only included in that edition? Well we have some good news for you, tomorrow March 18th these maps are going to become available for download, though the price is going to be 560 Microsoft points, or $7.

The map pack will include 4 different maps. Two of these maps, called Docks and Machine, are incorporated in the six competitive battle modes. While the other two maps called Outpost and Hive, will place a team of human players fighting against a hoard of Aliens attacking the base, and then inside of an Alien breeding hive. Sounds vaguely like hoard mode for GoW2.

This seems to be a common trend now, though the price may be more later, bonus DLC is being released for everyone, not just those that sprung for the special edition of the game. This is a good thing, but also hurts the consumer that only bought the basic copy, because if they were to want the full experience, they would still have to purchase these maps for more money than they were willing to spend in the first place.
