The Nintendo download releases for this week are as follows:

  • Kirby’s Fun Pak (Virtual Console: Nintendo, 800 Wii Points)
  • Art Style: Penta Tentacles (WiiWare: Nintendo, 600 Points)
  • Lead The Meerkats (WiiWare: Lapland Studio, 1000 Wii Points)
  • Hero Of Sparta (WiiWare: Gameloft, 800 Wii Points)
  • Voodoo Dice (WiiWare: Ubisoft, 1000 Points)
  • Flips: The Magic Faraway Tree (DSiWare: EA, 500 DSi Points)
  • Animal Color Cross (DSiWare, Little World’s Studios, 500 DSi Points)
  • Just Sing! National Anthems (DSiWare: Engine Software, 200 DSi Points)
  • Bloons (DSiWare: Hands-on Mobile, 500 DSi Points)

So, that’s the round-up for this week. There is quite a number of games out for Wii and DSi to download this week, and especially on the Wii, with a lot of larger, pricey games. There are also some interesting titles coming out on the handheld front, such as Flips: The Magic Faraway Tree, from EA, which is designed to encourage people, namely younger children, to read. On top of this there is Animal Color Cross, a colourful version of Picross. If you are a fan of the original then this will probably be your kind of thing.

Unlike last week, there is also Virtual Console game out this week. Kirby’s Fun Pack, originally released on the SNES in 1996, boasts classic Kirby action. Expect to see all the fan favourites like King Dedede and Metaknight if you do decide to pick it up.

Alien Breed Impact: Pre-order and demo available for PC

Alien Breed: Impact was just announced yesterday, but you can already pre-order the game on Steam for a 10% Off offer and an exclusive in-game digital comic, chronicling the troubled back-story of the game’s hero, Conrad, the doomed space vessel’s Chief Engineer.

If you are still unsure about the game, grab the demo on that link and check it out. The demo puts the player through their paces in a specially designed “Prologue” section. This can be played in single-player and in online co-op with a shooting buddy.

Alien Breed: Impact will be released June 3rd on Steam. Currently there’s no details about the PS3 version.

Alpha Protocol – Launch Trailer

Alpha Protocol was launched this week in Europe, Australia and South America, while the United States version is set for June 1st.

The game’s reception have been pretty varied until now, some people are already showing their love for the game’s strong narrative and dialogue choices, while others are focusing their opinions around technical issues, since the game’s graphics are just average, and there’s some bugs and too much loading on the consoles. The word is that the PC version seems to be better overall.

Duke Nukem finally makes an appearance

Looks like we will be seeing the release of a Duke Nukem game in the near future. This placeholder and bit of info is now listed on Xbox.com for being Duke Nukem: Manhattan Project. 3D Realms is the developer but unfortunately there is no news of the pricing for the game; or even a relative release date. The game however is rated Action, but I doubt it would be anything but action.

Modern Warfare 2 Community Night with Capsule Computers = GREAT SUCCESS !!

Well let me tell you LADIES & GENTLEMEN !! The Microsoft Xbox 360 Community night  for Modern Warfare 2 was a great success !!!  The Community had a great time and the Capsule Computers Crew had a blast hosting it.

As always we tried some weird and whacky gameplay styles like knife only in domination, pistol only in free for all, and MasterAbotts’s personal favourite for the night 3RD Person RIOT Shield Melee Mayhem !!

 

MasterAbbott also recorded some of the action on the night as well.  Check it out below : Scrapyard Team Deathmatch.

We also stopped to take a group photo as well.  As always it was a complete nightmare to setup as we hed a individuals that couldnt stop killing everyone, but once we finally got rid of him we managed to take this pretty spectacular shot in the soccer field in the Favela level.  Check it out and also all the peeps that were involved in the shot as well. 

We also took a video as the photo just couldn’t do this fantastic shot justice

Gameloft Announces 6 New Titles for iPad

These new titles will be added to the 16 games already available

Gameloft is celebrating the launch of the iPad in France, Germany, Italy, Spain, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Canada, Japan, and Australia with the release of seven new titles. Gameloft’s new launch titles for the iPad in these countries are: Blokus, GT Racing: Motor Academy, Chess Classics, Brain Challenge, Gangstar : West Coast Hustle and Real Tennis. They will be available early June. 

“The iPad is the most user-friendly portable game platform available that will once again transform your experience with digital and downloadable games. We’ve supported the iPad since its launch in the U.S. in early April with titles that have garnered critical acclaim. We’re eager to expand our selection of games for the launch of the iPad in these new territories,” commented Michel Guillemot, president and founder of Gameloft.

Gameloft has established itself as one of the first major publishers on Apple’s App Store with 65 iPhone games launched since July 2008 and 16 games available on the iPad. These six new titles will be added to the catalogue of games already available on the iPad, including bestsellers such as N.O.V.A. – Near Orbit Vanguard Alliance, Asphalt 5, Hero of Sparta, UNO™ and Iron Man 2.

Gameloft’s Apps for iPad are available from the App Store at www.itunes.com/appstore/.

The games’ prices will range from $5,99 to $12,99.

UBISOFT Reveals E3 Line-up

UBISOFT have shared with us a preview of their line up of games that will be on show at this years 2010 Electronic Entertainment EXPO (E3) located in Los Angeles
