This June, PS3 owners of Lost Planet 2 will be able to download two skins of the Helghast characters from Killzone free of charge. These skins, in addition to the previously announced Monster Hunter skin which will be available later this month, are exclusive to PlayStation fans across the globe. From the My Page menu in Lost Planet 2, players can build and customize their own unique character for use in the online versus mode. Once a player completes the campaign mode, they can port their multiplayer characters to the co-op story action, including the in-game cut scenes.
The Rock Band Songs for May 18th
I’ve said it before, but May 18th sees the onslaught of some heavy hitters (Red Dead Redemption., Alan Wake, Prince of Persia, Split/Second) Many good titles all competing for the top spot. Songs keep getting pumped out for Rock Band, and below is the list of songs being released. All the songs are pretty good, but I want to see some Weird Al hitting the virtual Rock Band Store. I’ll buy that rock band album in a heart beat.
All tracks except “Throwing Stones” and “A Girl Like You” are playable with LEGO Rock Band as well.
Grateful Dead Tracks – 160 Microsoft points each
- Grateful Dead – “Beat It on Down the Line”
- Grateful Dead – “Cumberland Blues”
- Grateful Dead – “Scarlet Begonias”
- Grateful Dead – “Throwing Stones”
- Grateful Dead – “Touch of Grey”
- Grateful Dead – “U.S. Blues”
These songs are also available as “Grateful Dead Pack 03” for 800 Microsoft Points.
The Smithereens Tracks – 160 Microsoft points each
- The Smithereens – “A Girl Like You”
- The Smithereens – “Only a Memory”
Look out for them from May 18th on the Xbox Live Marketplace.
Naughty Bear Nightmare Part 3
The recent naughty bear footage have both been funny and entertaining, but they haven’t really shed any light on the actual gameplay of the game. So far we have seen an array of murders on teddy bears, a few in game cutscenes, and some nightmarish movie parodies.
Although all these videos are good, none of them show anything about the game itself. What we need is a dev diary that explains how the murders are initiated, how the sneaking takes place, and a general sense of how much fun you will actually have playing the game.
Judging by the recent achievement list reveal, the game looks pretty short. Only 7 episodes are present in the game. Hopefully each episode will have multiple missions and tons of fun ways to murder the cute teddies, but currently it is unknown.

White Knight Chronicles 2 Trailer
Level 5 has released a brand new trailer, one of the first we’ve yet to see, for White Knight Chronicles 2 for the PS3. Keep in mind this is the Japanese trailer of the game, as there has not yet been an English version announced. However the first White Knight Chronicles was released in English two weeks after the Japanese released so one can expect the same treatment with the sequel.
The trailer itself introduces new allies like Scardyne and Miu and a plethora of other features that have been added since the first game. We will see everything new with this game on July 8th on the Japanese release date, and potentially a few weeks later in English as well. I certainly can’t wait to see it myself as the trailer definitely has my JRPG blood boiling.
American Voice Actress lets slip about english dubbing
If you have watched the first Inuyasha which has been broadcasted for many years now in America and other parts of the world, you may know the voice actress Kelly Sheridan who performed the voice for Sango(seen below). Today she said on both her twitter, and her facebook that she has begun to do voice over work for the new Inuyasha series, Inuyasha: The Final Act. Inuyasha: The Final Act adapted the final 21 volumes of Rumiko Takahashi’s Inuyasha. The Manga itself had ended in June 2008 and since then Viz Media has been releasing the Manga in North America. One can guess that they also may be releasing this new and final anime adaption to Inuyasha.
Inuyasha was one of the very first Anime I ever was able to watch and is what made me love Anime for what it is today. I was able to follow the Manga all the way to it’s end and was always concerned that the Anime adaption had ended so early with the final battles still left unshown. Looks like now we will all see what will happen to Inuyasha and Naraku. For those that don’t know, Inuyasha is the story of a half-demon called Inuyasha, and a girl who can pass through time named Kagome. They are seeking the Shikon No Tama, or the Jewel of Four souls which has the power to grant any wish. Only there is evil afoot and many demons are seeking the jewel for their own use. The worst of all the demons is Naraku who has spun a lethal web of deceit among every main character’s lives.
Fable 3 coming to Windows PC as well?
Looks like there was a bit of a mis-step made by somebody when Lionhead and Microsoft uploaded this cover art to Games Press. The unfortunate problem is that the stamp on top of the case says Only on Xbox 360 and Windows. This means that unless this is just an error in released box art covers, then there will be a PC Fable 3 as well. There has been no official announcement yet however by either company but one can guess that thanks to this mess up that it will be coming shortly.
Switching gears, what do you guys think of this cover art? Looks amazing with the gruff looking man and the crown in my opinion. Plus the crown definitely raises some questions as to what the plot may be.

Meet your enemies – Alpha Protocol

Looks like trouble is brewing in the world of Alpha Protocol. There are so many factions going at war with each other or teaming up with one another that there will be continuous blood shed on all fronts. With the groups such as the Triad, terrorists, special police force, and Mafia to name a few there will never be an end to the conflicts. However what is a lone spy to do? That is up for you to decide.
One thing is for certain though, step on one faction’s shoes and you may gain the trust of another. However by joining forces with that organization you may make enemies with yet another one, this precarious balance of factions should lead to some very interesting predicaments. With Alpha Protocol set to be released by Sega in Australia on May 27th, Europe May 28th, and the United States on June 1st we shall see who sides with who.
Split/Second Making of Video: Audio Design
Racing through the deluge of titles coming out next week (Alan Wake, Prince of Persia, and Red Dead Redemption) is the Racing game that prides itself on everything around you being blown up: Split/Second Velocity.
Recently the developers have let loose a bunch of videos, and when I say a bunch… I mean a bunch. I think I’ve supplied a new video every 2-3 days in the last 2 weeks. The strategy could work, hyping up a lot of people over a short period of time. On the other hand, it could backfire with not enough time to let people decide whether they want it or not.
Either way, below is another video, this time emphasizing the audio within the game. If I play the game and can recognize and actual Lion Roar, I’m going to burst out laughing.
App of the Dead Coming Soon
You gotta love the month before E3, it generally leaves us editors desperately scratching and clawing for any tidbit of news.
Speaking of scratching and clawing… (see what I did there?)
I bring you: a zombiefier.
Yes, a zombiefier. Haven’t you always wondered what you would look like as a flesh eating corpse? As a walking pus-bag? A ‘Zack’? Skin Eater?
Coming soon, an official George A. Romero “App of The Dead” will be available for the iPod and iPod Touch, and will finally answer that burning question.
You will able to use the images of yourself, friends or whoever on your iThing and zombify yourself by adding gashes, scratches, all sorts of wounds and facial deformities to your picture-perfect face.
Not only will you FINALLY be able to see what you look like as a zombie, you will also be able to “shoot” at your zombie self, complete with blood splatter and all. And if you’re really proud of your work, you can save and upload your ghoul to Facebook.
I’m totally buying this. As a zombie connoisseur I’ve always wanted to know what I’d look like as one. Thank GOD for this app, otherwise I was worried I’d have to inject myself with the T-Virus or something.
