Fallout New Vegas gets a medley of screens

Obsidian’s take on Fallout has just received a large dose of screenshots to keep us salivating over its eventual release this Autumn. We see everything from a cowboy outfit, to playing golf with some guys face. There is even what looks like an orbital weapon that is being used. We’ll have to wait to find out more but these screens below are quite amazing.

If “Outlaws to the End” wet your whistle for additional Red Dead Redemption content then you are in for some luck as Rockstar has released information on four more DLC packs in the next few months. This August we have the “Legends and Killers” will hit, and then there will be “The Tomahawk” coming at the end of the Fall. Ninja vs. Zombies in Dead Rising 2?

Looks like the folks over at Gamestop are bringing us some Ninja action if you happen to pre-order Dead Rising 2 from them. When you wear the outfit they have provided with your pre-order you will be receiving special bonuses. Wearing only one piece provides the Ninja ability, while having the entire outfit on at once makes you a stealthy assassin in more ways than one, by providing new character animations.

So now that Gamestop has unveiled their pre-order content, how will the rest of the retailers stack up in their exclusive features?

Dragon Age 2 announced!

That was fast.

Just a few hours after the rumors, and Bioware already announced the sequel for their highly acclaimed rpg series: Dragon Age 2 is real!

Dragon Age 2 will feature an all-new story about Hawke, a survivor of the Blight and a hero who will transform the face of the Dragon Age universe forever. Spanning 10 years of his life, players will help tell that tale by making tough moral choices, gathering the deadliest of allies, amassing fame and fortune, and sealing their place in history.

Graphics and combat are new in this sequel too, the game will come with upgraded graphics and a new visual style, while the battle system will have a huge focus on the action this time.

“Last year’s launch of Dragon Age: Origins was one of the most successful in BioWare’s 15-year history and one of the most successful new IP launches in the 28 year history of EA. Dragon Age 2 will simultaneously deliver an epic story and set a new bar for intense action in the genre. We’re very excited to deliver this next bold evolution in the Dragon Age franchise to our fans.” – Dr. Ray Muzyka, Senior Vice President of Electronic Arts and co-founder and Group General Manager of BioWare

“With Dragon Age 2 we are creating an exciting new entry point into the Dragon Age universe while ensuring that fans of the original game retain a sense of satisfaction and familiarity in the world. We are amplifying the things that made Dragon Age: Origins such a huge success while introducing a more dynamic combat system, improving the graphics, and telling the most important story in our world.” – Mark Darrah, Dragon Age 2 Executive Producer.

The game is expected to launch on march 2011, for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360.

A trailer is planned for August 18th 2010, but you can wait by looking at the first official artworks of the game right below.

Persona 3 for PSP is Now Available!

All RPG & Atlus fans can rejoice because you can take the wonderful world of Persona 3 with you on the go…PSP Go that is because it has been released on the PlayStation Store. PSP owners with the UMD models can also purchase this in retail stores for $39.99 MSRP. Bonus for those owners because as many Atlus fans know, the best things about releases from Atlus are the soundtracks and extra goodies that are included from buying their games and this one doesn’t disappoint. If you were fast enough to reserve your copy you will receive a wearable hat of one of the most beloved characters of the game: Junpei Iori. But still even if you didn’t reserve it some retailers will have some available but supplies are limited so hurry and pick up this title today!

Persona 3 is about your character who is a high-school student who joins a secret club known as (SEES) or Specialized Extracurricular Execution Squad. Lovely name isn’t it?  Your club investigates the Dark Hour, a time period between one day and the next that few people are aware of. Contrasting from the world that you and I know, your character constantly enters Tartarus, a large tower containing monsters that live off the minds of humans called Shadows. To fight them, you must summon a Persona, a manifestation of your inner self. Now for those of you unfamiliar with this game from the PS2 release this next sentence will be a doozy, it may sound crazy but it is “serious business”.  To release your persona, you must shoot yourself in the head with a pistol like object known as an “Evoker”. You read this correctly.

For gamers getting into the Shin Megami Tensei: Persona series, one of the ways it vastly differs from the other role playing games is the way you interact with the world around you. This key element is what essentially drives the story in terms of character development and gameplay. Even making the choice to pick which gender you want your character to be is reflected in numerous ways and also how you treat those you come in contact with; referred to as “Social Links”, makes an impact when you go into battle. In other words, the stronger your friends feelings are for you, the stronger in battle everyone is. So forget about your typical dungeon level grinding, you’ve got interpersonal relationships to work on at the same time so good luck trying to max out those stats! Even if you are new to playing the role playing genre the game has modes ranging from beginner to maniac for those who want to test their RPG playing skills. For those familiar with the title from the PS2 release, this version not only includes the new character which means new interactions and special events and dialog  but also less load times, one button menu shortcuts, and easier access to team equipment changes. This will make for a greater experience as you take your adventures in the world of Persona 3 with you outside of the home.

If that last paragraph entices you to pick up this amazing title, head straight to your nearest Gamestop/EB Games to pick that up and see if they have any Junpei caps left! If you tend to purchase things online, Amazon.com and Amazon.ca is the place to go to get the game and the cap while supplies last as well.

The Last Story’s first gameplay trailer unveiled!

Mistwalker is bringing us one of the most interesting games to grace the Wii in a long time. From the looks of the trailer below it is sporting some of the best graphics on the Wii and as long as it stays as it shows, looks to be an amazing RPG in the works.

All we know so far about the story is that the game is set on the Ruri Islands, but beyond that we are only able to wait anxiously for more information, and hope for a western release. So far there is only a release date in Japan for some time this year.
