Rock of Ages trailer invades all of gaming history

Rock of Ages is already a very unique game in and of itself, but the most interesting thing about it at the moment is the fact that the latest trailer shows that Rock truly does beat anything. The newly released trailer from Ace Team and Atlus shows that all of gaming history can be destroyed as long as you have a big rock to throw/roll at it.

You can catch the trailer below, though unfortunately there still has been no release date given. The trailer shows that the release will come sometime in the Summer of this year, which means that there really isn’t a whole lot of time left for Ace Team to get this unique XBLA, PSN and PC title out to the public.

Prototype 2’s new trailer gives us a recap of what occured in Prototype 1 and since then

If you have no idea what occurred in Prototype 1, or haven’t played it yet then you could and probably should pick up the first title as it would be a shame to miss it. On the other hand, Activision doesn’t want you to feel completely lost with what is going to be happening in Prototype 2, so today at Gamescom they released a new trailer for the title.

In this trailer we are given a brief and to the point recap of all the important information and happenings that occurred in Prototype 1, so obviously you can expect some spoilers. If you happen to watch further near the end however, you will learn a few things about the story in Prototype 2 as well. Catch the video below!

Sine Mora shooting to PSN & XBLA

In addition to revealing Black Knight Sword at Gamescom, Grasshopper Manufacture, with Digital Reality, is also releasing Sine Mora onto the XBLA and PSN. This steam punk inspired game deals with one question: What would you do if you knew how much time you had left? Check out the trailer below for more on that subject.

Sine Mora is desribed as a “diesel-punk shoot ’em up… Mixing classic shooter sensibilities with next-gen presentation, Sine Mora is a shoot ‘em up that appeals to both hardcore and casual gamers . The engrossing Story Mode weaves an over-the-top tale, presented as only Digital Reality and Grasshopper Manufacture could, while the Arcade Mode provides deep, satisfying gameplay to challenge fans of the genre.” You can also check out Sine Mora’s Facebook page here.

Rise of Nightmares goes on a Euro vacation in latest trailer

You can say a lot of things about Sega’s upcoming Kinect title Rise of Nightmares… such as the fact that it looks like it may finally take the Kinect into a more hardcore gaming market or the fact that it also may master the Kinect’s capabilities more than any other game that doesn’t involve dancing or mini-games.

Another thing you can say is that Sega’s marketing team has created a literal goldmine with their trailers of the game so far. We’ve seen the strange Red Band trailer already, but now we have also obtained the “Euro Vacation” trailer which I’ve got to say is an amazing way to advertise your product, especially to such peppy music. Rise of Nightmares will be released in just a few weeks and is exclusively for those who own a Kinect and an Xbox 360. Catch the trailer below.

Black Knight Sword coming to XBLA & PSN

From Grasshopper Manufacture and Digital Reality, Black Knight Sword will be making its debut on the Xbox 360 and PS3 this Winter. Self described as “A throwback to the classic platformers for the 8 and 16-bit era of games, Black Knight Sword harkens a simpler time when simple yet addictive and challenging gameplay dominated the scene. Join the Black Knight in this fairy tale quest to defeat the Evil White Princess in an imaginative world brought to life in true Grasshopper Manufacture and Suda 51 style,” we think that the original gameplay ideas coming out this developer are fantastic. Check out the screenshots and video announcement below, and then tell us what you think. You can also check out the Official Facebook page of the game for more info here.

Forza 4 at Gamescom – The Hockenheim track

Just because “Hockenheim” sounds hilarious and made-up doesn’t mean it isn’t real. It is real and coming to your Xbox 360 soon. As part of Forza 4, this German racetrack will let you scream around it in some of the finest cars crafted by man.

Developed by Turn 10 and published by Microsoft, Forza 4 will release for the Xbox 360 later this year in North America on October 11, Europe on October 14, and globally October 20. Bioshock Infinite Gamescom screens show Elizabeth tearing up in more ways than one

Nothing can pull on a person’s heartstrings more than seeing a legitimate looking crying person. Of course there is more than just sadness involved when we talk about Elizabeth’s tears. There is of course her tears which are running down her cheek in the below screenshot, or also the tears in the world itself which can spawn new cover and items or even throw them into an alternate timeline.

The below screenshots come from 2K Games and Irrational Games today for Gamescom and they focus entirely on Elizabeth, the main heroine of the title Bioshock Infinite who the player has to rescue and protect from Songbird. Bioshock Infinite will be released to the PlayStation 3, PC and Xbox 360 sometime in 2012.

Microsoft announces Age of Empires ‘Season Pass’ that will offer six months of content for one price

Age of Empires Online is out and it is free-to-play. The game is an MMORTS and although the game is free to play without any hidden charges, there will still be some content that will be in the game that you will have to pay for. Gas Powered Games, developer of the title, has announced that they are going to be working on new content for the MMORTS all the time and of course this content will have a price tag on it.

For this, Microsoft will be releasing a Season Pass for the game. At Gamescom, Microsoft said that the Season Pass will allow gamers to access all premium content and download it for free. The pass itself will cost $99.99 and last for six months at a time. Although this may be a bit expensive, though at the moment if you bought everything available for the game right now it would cost around $60, so perhaps this pass is actually a must have for hardcore fans of the game.

Duels of the Planeswalkers 2012 receives ‘Ascend into Darkness’ DLC on September 14th

If you thought that you had done everything that you could possibly do in Dules of the Planeswalkers 2012 then you should be happy to hear that your favorite downloadable card game is about to get itself an expansion, or should I say booster pack? Wizards of the Coast announced earlier today that they will be releasing the Ascend into Darkness DLC package on September 14th across all platforms which the game is available for.

The DLC will include new cards and feresh art for each deck, three new playable decks as well as a handful of new campaign levels. Plus players can take on the role of Archenemey either through online matches or local matches. In Archenemy mode, three players will be bit against a very overpowered opponent. Sounds like a great time for those who can’t get enough of Magic: The Gathering.
