Live-Action Akira casts it’s Kaneda

It has now been officially confirmed that one of the many rumoured actors tapped to play the role of Kaneda in the Hollywood adaptation of Akira has been cast, that actor being Tron: Legacy’s Garrett Hedlund.

Hedlund may still be an up and coming star, but he does bare a striking resemblance to Kaneda. You could say he is what Kaneda would look like if he were from New Manhattan and not Neo Tokyo, which is exactly what he is meant to be.

No other details on the film have come to light as of yet, but with all the buzz surrounding this polarizing forthcoming adaptation, we are sure to hear more details soon.

The Hoff Shows Off His Moves For DanceStar Party

DanceStar Party is out right now. Players will be able to dance to their favourite songs with the Playstation Move. So, in order to celebrate the release of the game, it seems that David Hasslehoff wants to show off his dance moves.

Filmed in a secret European location; the video footage shows the TV star taking on all comers and busting a series of knock-out dance moves in a competitive ‘Dance Hoff’. The super high-res video which clearly showcases the star’s technical ability, nifty foot work and creative free styling to a soundtrack of Duck Sauce’s ‘Barbra Streisand’ is set to finally dispel any rumours that the Hoff can’t dance once and for all.

Yep, there is a trailer of the Hoff showing his moves. Check it out below. Capsule Computers also has a review of the game right here.

Wizardry: Labyrinth of Lost Souls transferred to iOS

Who doesn’t love a good labyrinth? I mean you have your awesome races and classes, your monsters, and well, your labyrinth. If, like me, you love yourself a good labyrinth, then Acquire Corp have got you covered.

They’ve released the iOS version of RPG classic, Wizardry: Labyrinth of Lost Souls, for some good old fashioned dungeon crawling fun times! With 20 levels and over 120 monsters to battle, I’m definitely looking forward to kicking back and helping my luckily not claustrophobic hero traverse the dungeons. There are ten playable heroes, with a great mix of races and classes to pick from, and all the characters and monsters have got a great graphic quality.

Wizardry: Labyrinth of Lost Souls is a freemium game, free for the first five levels and $9.99 to unlock the rest of the game. This is probably a good cut-off, because most casual gamers who don’t get invested will give in before this, but those of you who actually want to finish the game will go through to the end and (hopefully) think the extra ten dollars is worth it.

Wizardry: Labyrinth of Lost Souls is available NOW for FREE, so what are you waiting for? Go get it from HERE

Seishi Kishimoto launches new Manga in Shonen Rival

The often forgotten brother of more famous Masashi Kishimoto, Seishi has never truly made an impact in the manga world. His lack of popularity is largely due to fans considering him to be a mere copy of his brother Masashi. Oddly enough, Seishi has actually had more manga serialized than his older brother, however the only one that even leaft a blip on the radar was O-Parts Hunter, which was poorly recieved and criticised for being a Naruto-clone.

Seishi Kishimoto sadly has spent most of his career living in his older brother’s very large shadow, in what his fans call unfair. Seishi’s fans are right, it isn’t fair for him to live in his brothers ominous shadow. He has produced an impressive body of work and one must wonder whether had he used a different pen name, would he have been more popular?

Well regardless, Seishi is not giving up on his dream and is releasing a new manga in the aptly named Shonen Rival magazine. His new manga is to be titled The Crimson Wolf and the Trapped Sheep. It is unknown what the manga itself will be about, however it is known that the first chapter will weigh in at 69 pages, included several coloured pages.

What do you think about Seishi Kishimoto’s new manga? Should people stop comparing him to his older brother Masashi? Let us know what you think in the shoutbox and comments section.

Pre-Order Skyrim’s soundtrack and watch how it was made in latest video

Bethesda announced some good news for everyone who prefers a different type of music than everyone else. Especially people who enjoy listening to video game soundtracks. The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim’s soundtrack is going to be available a week after the game is released. The title has massive four disc soundtrack and it can be pre-ordered through Directsong now for $29.99. If you happen to pre-order the soundtrack before December 23rd you will also get your copy of the soundtrack autographed by Jeremy Soule.

Those interested in hearing how some of the songs were recorded, especially the amazing sounding main theme can check out the newly released video below which explains how they orchestrated such an amazing song. Also those worried about a lack of voice actor variety have no need to worry, as Skyrim will have over seventy different voice actors performing over 110 roles in the game. Everything we hear about Skyrim just makes it sound vastly superior to other games released this year, especially when it comes to music.
