While Anarchy Reigns may seem like something that would be hard to hold back, what with all of the crazy super powered looking characters that can be played in the title, it seems that at least something must have managed to do so. Sega has announced today that the originally set for January 2012 Anarchy Reigns has been delayed until July 3rd in North America, July 5th in Australia and finally July 6th in Europe.
The only explanation Gary Knight, Senior Vice President of Marketing at Sega West was able to give for this delay was that he “can’t reveal much now, but it’s something to do with scale. Let’s just say traditional one on one or two versus two fighters will be a thing of the past …” With the massive abilities we’ve seen the characters demonstrate so far, this is going to be one hectic fighter.
Tecmo Koei has released a whole slew of new information for when we can expect to see Ninja Gaiden 3 and how players can pick them up and even give them some incentive to pick them up from certain retailers. Eager fans will be glad to see that the title will be available in stores on March 20th in North America and March 22nd in Australia for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, and if they feel like dropping some extra money on the title they can also pick up the $99.99 Collector’s Edition.
The Collector’s Edition will include an art book, soundtrack CD and a “Duel of the Masked” figure. Plus the Collector’s Edition will contain a full demo of Dead or Alive 5 which will have four playable characters to try out. The Collector’s Edition is exclusive to only GameStop and EB Games and for those who don’t want to buy the extra special edition shouldn’t be too worried however about the demo as they still have a chance to play it.
Buyers of the title can pre-order from Amazon.com and receive Ayane and Hayate to battle against one another while pre-orders from GameStop will offer Hitomi and Ryu Hayabusa. Being a huge fan of Hitomi, it would be easy for me to make the decision on who to pre-order the title from, or you could still buy the Collector’s Edition and receive all four without the need for pre-order.

While Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City may offer plenty of squad based combat against the survivors of the Raccoon City outbreak and tons of zombies to kill, what about an online multiplayer mode? Capcom has just revealed that they will be including a multiplayer mode in the game called Heroes Mode which will bring back a multitude of favorite characters and pit them against one another.
As you can see in the trailer below, as well as the image above, we will be seeing plenty of memorable characters returning besides Leon, such as Claire Redfield, Jill Valentine, Hunk, Ada Wong and Carlos returning as playable characters in the multiplayer mode that appears to be a 4 on 4 team deathmatch.
Thanks to votes from its fans, Mass Effect 3 recently won the Most Anticipated Game award at the Spike Video Game Awards, and to thank the community support, Bioware have released an all new screenshot of the game, featuring Ashley Williams in her shiny, new Spectre armour (above).
Prior to the release of the screenshot via social networks, fans were rabidly clamouring for a picture of the character after she was confirmed to being a squadmate in the game. You can also head over to the Mass Effect 3 Facebook page to caption the picture for the chance to win some, and I quote, “cool swag”.
Mass Effect 3 hits Xbox 360, Playstation 3, and PC on March 6, 2012. A singleplayer and multiplayer demo will be released sometime in January.

Good news for all of Spyro’s fanbase, the recent Skylanders entry to the universe, Skylanders Universe, has entered Beta. For those who don’t know, Beta is a testing phase that games undergo during devlopment to test features and debug a game. This indicates that the game may be close to release, probably within a few months to a year.
On Skylanders, the CEO of Activision Publishing had this to say –
“We conceived Skylanders as a unique, multi-platform experience from the beginning, simultaneously grand in scope yet incredibly easy for kids to embrace,” said Eric Hirshberg, CEO of Activision Publishing. “You can play with friends in the real world or on consoles, Nintendo 3DS, Mac or PC, and now on the web in Skylanders Spyro’s Universe. If there’s a screen where kids play, we want the Skylanders to come to life there. This also further enhances the play options of every Skylander character. “
Skylanders Spyro’s Universe is set in a land with floating islands that are designed to promote creativity in it’s players by encouraging world-building, teamwork and exploration. Players are able to customise their own Skylands, partake in various fun minigames and team up with friends to explore the vastness of the Skyland. For players who own any of the figures and/or the previous game in the series, they will be able to use their codes in the new game to unlock new content and the like.
The Sims Freeplay has officially launched, and EA Mobile sure do know how to launch a game. With a presentation from Iron Monkey studios, the developers behind the Sims iOS games, and some hands-on time with the app minutes after it was released they certainly wanted us to get a real feel for the game.
The Sims Freeplay is a game that is quite unlike any Sims release previous, on the iOS or otherwise. At first play it takes you through a lot of the new features you can come to expect from the game, and that’s a good thing. Even for me, a seasoned Sims player, I needed it because this is such a unique release.
The biggest differences are that instead of focusing on a family of Sims, your goal is to build up the town. You can have up to 16 Sims under your control, and you are in charge of growing your town’s value. The other big difference from other Sims releases is that it is done in real time.
With The Sims Freeplay there are plans to constantly update the app based on community feedback and in an effort to keep the game going for as long as possible. Considering the fact that the game itself is free, and is a very in-depth game that will take up big chunks of your day if you let it, this is a great offer for those who love the Sims, or just love some good value for money (or lack of money) apps.
The Sims Freeplay is available NOW on iPhone and iPad for FREE. Grab it HERE
Keep tuned to the site for a review of the game and more information as it comes!
