Assassin’s Creed 3 announced for October 30

Nothing says major game announcement like a financial call held at Ubisoft. Today during one such call which was hosted by company head Yves Guillemot the following words were spoken. “Assassin’s Creed 3 is the true next generation of both the Assassin’s Creed brand and interactive entertainment/storytelling in general,” and he even went further to say that the game will be released on October 30 this year.

However that is unfortunately all we know about the title at this point. There was no explanation of the story, setting, characters or anything like that. He did however explain that he expects Assassin’s Creed 3 to sell far beyond the 7 million mark that Revelations hit and that the company is spending more money on Assassin’s Creed 3 than on any past title in the series. We’ll learn more in the coming months but for now celebrate as more Assassin’s Creed is coming your way.

Life is difficult in the slums of Binary Domain

Anytime you see a machine uprising there is always going to be some collateral damage to non-combatants. However one thing that is usually glossed over in any piece of human vs machine media is how it affects the children and those who try to still live out a normal life despite not being enlisted in the military.

In the video released today by Sega for their upcoming game, Binary Domain, we see Dan and Big Bo’ in the slums of Tokyo where the poor citizens are trying to make ends meet and make enough money to stay alive. This however leads to a difficult stand off as the two are faced with normal humans desperate to simply put food on the table. Check out the video below and you can even check out the demo which is available today on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

Let your fists do the talking with the release of Tekken 3D Prime Edition

There are plenty of fighting games on the market today, but none of these titles can hold a candle to the type of fighting that can be found in the Tekken series. As such, it only seems logical that you should go pick up Tekken 3D Prime Edition for the Nintendo 3DS considering it was just released in stores yesterday.

Tekkn 3D Prime Edition offers quite a lot of content, with over forty different characters battling one another to make their way through the first 3D King of Iron Fist Tournament. In most stores Tekken 3D Prime Edition will run you $39.99.

Tales from Space: Mutant Blobs Attack priced and dated

What would a system launch be without some sort of amorphous blob ready to devour everything in sight? Well it wouldn’t be the launch of the PlayStation Vita considering DrinkBox Studios recently revealed that they will be releasing Tales from Space: Mutant Blobs Attack in time for the official release date of the PlayStation Vita on February 21 and February 22nd.

To go along with the announcement of a release date, the studio also revealed a price so insanely low that the CEO of DrinkBox Studios is doing backflips. The price for the downloadable title will be only $7.99 in North America, with pricing for the rest of the world not yet determined.

Over 2 million Skyrim mods downloaded in three days

One of the biggest highlights of purchasing one of Bethesda’s massive open world RPGs is the fact that they make their games completely modifiable. In fact, for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Bethesda made things easier than ever by releasing the Creation Kit for the game three short days ago. This tool allows PC gamers to create custom content easier than ever and also upload, download, and install custom content through the Skyrim Workshop on Steam.

Within those three days over two million mods have been downloaded over the Skyrim Workshop with over 2,500 mods created by the community. These mods range from small visual upgrades, new quests, new weaponry and that is just the tip of the iceberg compared to what we will see down the line from these dedicated fans.

New Ghost Recon Online trailer is a matter of class

Ubisoft have unveiled a new trailer for Ghost Recon Online, one which talks you through the three classes that feature in the game: Assault, Specialist and Recon.

Given the Ghost Recon series is renowned for its tactical shooting prowess, these classes should serve to please fans of the series who have yet to see the substance behind the shooting from assets and details about the game so far. Perhaps those veterans doubtful of the console return of the series on Xbox 360 with Kinect support, Ghost Recon: Future Soldier, could have their needs met with this game for PC and Wii U.

Without further ado, let me introduce the trailer which explains the three classes and how to put them to use effectively on the battlefield.
