Zone of the Enders HD will be playable next week in Japan

Konami revealed today that a playable version of Zone of the Enders HD will be available next week not only to those with tickets for the event, but also to the public as well reports Andriasang. The event itself is called the Zone of the Enders HD Night Fastest in the Universe ReBOOT Preview event and will be taking part at Shinjuku’s Wald 9 theater on May 25th so if you happen to be in Japan at that time, then you may have a chance to be one of the first people to play Zone of the Enders in HD.

To help raise hype for the event and to satisfy fans around the world who have absolutely no way to get to the event, the above image was released from the preview build of Zone of the Enders HD. Looks pretty good so far but I’m sure fans around the world will be much happier when a solid release date is announced.

Free Vibrators offered to Diablo III Player’s Partners

2

Has Diablo III stolen your partner away from you, leaving you with only your hand to pleasure yourself? Has it left you in a state of despair after all attempts to sexually engage your partner fall to the wayside as they fight the forces of evil? Well fear not, as one honourable sex toy manufacturer has you covered, they are offering free small vibrators to anyone claiming to have been left dry humping a pillow (or something of that nature) due to the release of Diablo III.

That honourable company is Absoloo, who is offering the free sex devices to anyone who posts an image on the Absoloo Facebook page showing that they have a copy of Diablo III in their household that has held their partners genitalia hostage. So if you want a free vibrator to pleasure yourself as your partner plays Diablo III then visit Absoloo’s facebook page here.

The free vibrator is available to all, regardless of gender. So yes men, your arsehole was taken into consideration just as much as the women’s vaginas were. What do you think of Absoloo’s strange Diablo III campaign? Was this as uncomfortable for you to read as it was for me to write? Let me know in the comments section below.

‘Web Rush’ mechanic revealed for The Amazing Spider-Man Game

Making the player feel like Spider-Man has always been a difficult task, but has Beenox nailed it this time?

As revealed by Brent Nicholas, executive producer of The Amazing Spider-Man: The Video Game, Beenox have included a unique mechanic called ‘The Web Rush’. Once activated, time is slowed down and gives the player a variety of maneuvers ranging from combat to navigational options. If you’d like to go all ‘Sam Fisher’ and bring out the stealth, there’s an option for that. Want to be more like me and attack like a crazy psychopath? Yeah, you can do that to! This will give players a tactical advantage over enemies, especially bosses. Long story short, Web Rush aims to make you look, feel, and flip like bad ass. My Spidy Sense is tingling for this one! For more, check out the trailer below.

The Amazing Spider-Man: The Video Game is set for a late June release on 3DS, DS, PS3, Move, Wii, and Xbox 360, just in time for the movie’s release.

Playstation Network to Preload Digital Downloads – A Hint for the Future?

Sony  are pulling something of a Steam, allowing for pre purchased digital games to be pre downloaded on the PlayStation Network. This is no big deal to PC and Mac gamers, who have been enjoying this sort of thing for a while now, but for consoles it’s a bit of a significant step. No more will you have to wait until release date to hit that download button, and join the inevitable queue on the servers as everyone else does the same. Selected titles will now be playable from the off, but exactly when that is (midnight on release day or when the Store updates?) is yet to be revealed.

Of course the key phrase here is selected titles, with only certain games getting the preload treatment. The first on the list will be  PSN exclusive and Move requiring Sorcery, out next week. It’s probably a pretty safe bet that all PSN exclusives will get the same benefit from now on, and presumably any major titles that could attract big business.

Pre downloading is a handy little feature, but could it also signal that Sony are leaning more towards the digital format? Consoles are still hanging on to ye good olde physical copies, but future gen rumours abound for both the PlayStation 4 and Xbox 720 that hint at a more digitized future. Of course we have zero concrete information about future consoles right now so it is anyone’s highly opinionated guess – a hint to the future of Sony gaming or just a handy feature?

MotoHeroz Now Free on iOS

Freebies are inbound iOS heads. If you’re looking for something fresh to play on your Apple device of choice, then the latest game to go free for all is Redlnyx’s platform racer MotoHeroz (also responsible for Trials Evolution). The game was released onto iOs in March after enjoying success on the WiiWare service, and this new free version of the game comes with some additional content to boot.

Ten new tracks will be heading to the side scroller, with five set in the ‘Spacetime’ environment and five in the obscenely generically named ‘Snowy Place’ set of levels. Two new vehicles will also arrive, christened ‘The Crawler’ and ‘The Skullasaurus’. The amount of loot hidden in the game has also been upped and the new multiplayer mode allows players to race against each other with a couple of mates.

A new champion approaches… Darius

The Hand of Noxus is a deadly one indeed, and the Fields of Justice should keep an eye always locked on him. Darius gained his reputation by removing “weak” leaders of Noxus through means of violence. His weapons are fueled with over confidence and lust for a Noxian controlled world. Let’s delve into his abilities to investigate his ruthlessness.

Abilities

  • Hemorrhage (Passive): Darius aims his attacks strategically, causing his target to bleed. This effect stacks up to five times.
  • Decimate: Darius swings his axe in a lethal circle. Enemies struck by its blade take more damage than those struck by its shaft.
  • Crippling Strike: Darius’s next attack severs a crucial artery. As the target bleeds out, their movement and attack speeds are slowed. Crippling Strike’s cooldown is lower the more bloodied its target.
  • Apprehend: Darius hones his axe, granting him passive armor penetration. When activated, Darius sweeps up his enemies with his axe’s hook and pulls them to him.
  • Noxian Guillotine (Ultimate): Darius leaps to an enemy champion and strikes a lethal blow, dealing true damage. This damage is increased for each stack of Hemorrhage on the target. If Noxian Guillotine is a killing blow, its cooldown is refreshed.

Lore

Darius was orphaned at a young age left only to fend for himself as well as his younger brother. Upon joining the Noxian militia, Darius’s peers knew him to be relentless and bold. Darius ultimately earned his reputation by his actions on the battlefield against an overwhelming Demacian force. His captain had called for a retreat, but Darius was not one to admit defeat so easily. He took his axe in his arms, strode up next to his captain, and cleaved off the man’s head. The remaining forces were startled yet rallied to engage the oncoming Demacian forces under new command. Noxus won that day because of Darius’s mundane leadership.

Many have tried to contest the rule of Noxus, yet Darius did not want to bring down the leadership of Jericho Swain. The battle-rager saw success through Swain’s leadership and offered his services. Instead, Darius expresses his eager determination:

“A united Noxus could control the world – and would deserve to.”

Rhode Island’s governor announces 38 Studios’ MMO Copernicus

0

Video games have been around for quite some time but I do believe that this is the first time that the existence of an MMO and its release window were ever announced by the governor of a state. Today the Rhode Island governor Lincoln Chafee told those in attendance at a 38 Studios-related press conference that 38 Studios’ MMO which is currently being called “Project Copernicus” will be released in June of 2013.

Whether or not the MMO will actually be ready by then is anyone’s guess, especially considering the fact that 38 Studios has a $75 million loan to pay back to Rhode Island still. The company did reveal however that they wish to seek private investors to back their future game development, not state funding.

38 Studios successfully pays its monthly due to Rhode Island

You may remember yesterday that we reported that 38 Studios, the developers behind the EA published Kingdoms of Amalur, was a bit behind on a rather substantial debt owed to the state of Rhode Island. You see, the company was meant to pay Rhode Island $1.125 million by May and had failed to do so.

Well it seems that all that concern about the future of the company was for naught as WRPI reports that the governor of Rhode Island, Lincoln Chafee, announced during a press conference this afternoon that the company had paid its past due balance. The next chunk of funds they must pay the state is $2.6 million by November 1st. Hopefully the studio will be able to cover that amount and we won’t be hearing about the potential closure of 38 Studios anytime soon.
